Heyo~

 

I am GeekBrony, and I host a network called Bronydom Network!

 

You can find us here: http://www.bronydom.net/

 

We are currently looking for DJ's for our radio!

 

You must have experience with sound, any DJ program (Virtual DJ, Serato, Traktor, Mixxx), and have a collection of music to play!

 

If anyone wants to, take a look at this schedule and tell me what time you are able to.

I keep looking at this just sitting here saying "I like to DJ then again I have very little experience" I do have Virtural DJ on my laptop but haven't fully understood how to use it properly. I do make mixes of samples on an online program called Audio tool. I have what I think is my best mix I made on my profile. I am still just a rookie at being a DJ though which I don't think you are looking for. If your still around in the future I might be good enough but I wish you the best of luck on finding someone  :)

I had exactly ZERO experience with any of this, but I've been doing my show on Bronydom for several months now with only minor technical glitches occasionally (side-effect of sharing my internet with the rest of my family). 

 

And as an add-on to GeekBrony's request, show hosts would be good too! If you like to talk/podcast, and have a decent microphone, you can do your own show. Perhaps you have some friends and would like to do a radio drama? That's great too!

Thats awesome having your own show!   Wish I had a good enough mic for something like that. Good luck with your show.

 

Here are a few links to affordable (under $80) microphones that don't require you to spend extra on an interface.

The ATR2100USB is great for beginners because of it's built-in USB interface, but it also has XLR output so you can use it with a separate interface later if you want.

 

I upgraded from the ATR2100USB to the MXL 990 with a Behringer XENYX 302USB interface after the USB plug died on the ATR (too much plugging in then unplugging). Because of the XLR output, I still use that mic for gaming and stuff.

I didn't have any prior experience, and The Evening Breeze was pretty noobish when it first started. It's a lot better now, and my equipment has improved as well. You gain experience by experiencing, not by wishing you could do something. Give it a try!

Bronydom Network is mostly in the Trance/Dance/House/Dubstep sorta genres, but I guess you could talk to GeekBrony and see.

Now, I know I would need radio software for this. Are any free?

Yep!

Mixxx is free and runs on all platforms. It is a bit daunting at first but we can happily teach you how to use it.
