Guest April 19, 2014 Share April 19, 2014 Yeah, Watership Down. The "anti-disney" movie. If you've seen it, you know what's up. To those of you who haven't seen it, be aware - it's pretty graphic, for a movie involving rabbits. It's going to be cute, they said. It's going to be fun, they said. )O( Scarlet )O( 1,259 April 19, 2014 Share April 19, 2014 I saw it long ago, I still have some nightmares from when I saw it. It sure was sad and heart wrenching, but not as bad as Richard Adams' other movie/book: Plague Dogs 1 (Avatar art done by and Signature art done by @Guardian Braveheart (Aka my little brother), Avatar and Signature done by myself)

ShadowPirateX 600 April 19, 2014 Share April 19, 2014 I saw it once on TV. On Christmas day. How that movie got a 7+ rating is beyond me. I still can't believe it was shown on Christmas day the first time i saw it. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" ~ Optimus Prime

Discordian 6,021 April 20, 2014 Share April 20, 2014 I've been told that if I like the Redwall book series that I'd also like Watership Down. I don't know how they can be considered the same though. Cuz they both have animal characters? That said, I've seen Plague Dogs (didn't know it was done by the same people) and that was definitely a good movie. Dat ending. Discordian 6,021 April 20, 2014 Share April 20, 2014 (edited) I know it isn't. I saw a few minutes of it once. Something about one of the rabbits going mad and bug-eyed, some getting chased and killed by a dog...seemed pretty brutal. BUT IT'S CUTE LITTLE ANIMALS, IT MUST BE FOR KIDS RIGHT!? Untitled Goose Q 5,138 April 20, 2014 Share April 20, 2014 Watership Down was incredibly well done, although as usual I prefer the book. 2 On 4/22/2016 at 6:16 PM, The Nightly Spectre said: One does not ask why The Questioner is awesome. Rarity Paige Belle 1,855 April 20, 2014 Share April 20, 2014 Did you see a lot of rabbits then? Yes, Watership Down is riddled with them! I've only been there once or twice, because it's about an hour's walk from the nearest train station, but I remember once when my family were walking there my sister fell in a rabbit hole and brokeher ankle! My mum and dad had to carry her nearly 2 miles back to the car park. 2 Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! What more could you want? (Thanks Kyoshi for letting everyone use your sigs!) Guest April 23, 2014 Share April 23, 2014 Haven't seen it, but I did see The Plague Dogs (which is pretty similar from what I've heard) a long time ago. I'd say you'd be fine by watching Watership Down, if you've already seen Plague Dogs.
Jeric 46,885 April 23, 2014 Share April 23, 2014 Did they ever reclassify this film's rating in England? I know if had an 'All Ages' rating and it caused a stir at one point. I could be wrong.

Seems about right - I don't think anyone would be able to get away with such a movie in our modern society.
