Rascal~ 657 April 26, 2014 Share April 26, 2014 Would it be possible if we got the debate pit topics out of the recent discussed topics section?I know life advice is out of there, since I never see those topics in that little bit of the site, but I sometimes see the debate topics in there. Like I sure it would be fine and all, but sometimes I don't like the idea of "Is incest okay?!" or "Are rape victims to blame?" or some kind of very controversial and very debatable topic right out in the open. Some people may not want to see that, or some people may not be looking to debate but suddenly they're in one because they saw a topic they were deeply against or for. THIS! DO THIS! This bugs the heck out of me, and probably many others...I have run out of steam for so many topics that I posted in that you could use it all to drive a Steam Locomotive. I cannot support this, it should stay there at life advice. Yes, it discuss incidents, controversies, and problems. But at the same time, it advices you to maybe know if that something is bad or good. Like "Is incest okay?" It advices a person if it is OKAY. Or "do you think smoking weed will kill you?" It advices that if it KILLS YOU OR NOT. I was asking if the Debate pit topics could stay out of the recently discussed section of the forums, not the life advice. Yes, some of the topics in the debate pit would be fine for anybody as it can be a nice and a simple debate that anyone debater would love to join, but some of the debates in the pit are not really appropriate or friendly for the front page. This is a pony forum, not really the best forum to be discussing whether incest is okay or not, but it still is here. Rascal~ 657 April 27, 2014 Author Share April 27, 2014 @,Exactly, but life advice is kept hidden to the front page, and general discussion and the debate pit aren't.I can understand why life advice is kept hidden since people may post in there because of suicidal thoughts and it may trigger someone else. But people decide to go into the life advice section to help people out, the debate pit is out in the open and the topic titles are on the front page, which means that the topics are easier accessed. The Debate pit is probably worse than the life advice section, since it is a much more aggressive area then the life advice. I'm not wanting to get rid of th elife advice section, nor do I want to hide it. But it is already hidden, I'm talking about the debate pit, and how I'm just suggesting that it be kept hidden from the front page.
