gaming Best OS for XBMC?

I mostly intend on watching cartoons and movies, and also play emulators, and maybe some online games (thinking of trying TF2).

 

I currently have Windows 7, and I don't see much of a reason to switch to another OS, although I got a call from someone saying they detected hack attempts against my computer, so thinking of wiping the slate clean anyway. And I read that full screen mode XBMC is buggy in the windows version. Is that still accurate?
