Spirit Rush 497 May 11, 2014 Share May 11, 2014 Hello! I've been drawing a lot of ponies lately and I decided to try drawing my oc pony for the first time. It's only shows his head since I'm not confident with drawing a pony's body. So let me know how well I did or how horribly I did. I am looking for judgement on what I'm doing wrong and what I'm doing right so I can improve. aoEAF2FBvC0MIo2Q 3,676 May 11, 2014 Share May 11, 2014 Well, gen 4 ponies tend to be simple in their design. You'll learn to draw their bodies eventually but learning is something that starts at a crawl. It's not bad and your choice of colors is good. If there's any suggestion I would personally make would be to to have the ponytail start at around the height of the jaw. I'm thinking that'll look more natural. I'm no artist myself so please take that with a grain of salt.
Your Nightly Spectre 1,061 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 Hahaha, a pony with a pony tail. xD. Okay, so. I don't see anything wrong here, maybe make the neck a bit wider. Because it looks like it will break in a second. My lil' art thread. - My OC - Profile pic by myself. ~
multifacetedbrony 88 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 I really like the colour choices. I would maybe round off the corners of his muzzle just the tiniest bit.
Silverwisp the Bard 2,354 May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 Overall, pretty good. It is a bit flat looking, but that's more due to it being close to the show's style, rather than anything else. -The jawline looks just a bit too straight, maybe add a slight s-curve -the mane on a pony extends down the back of the neck (Doctor Hooves is a good reference), so unless the lower part is meant to be shaven, maybe extend it My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain.
