Seeing Seth leave her, if only to go out the door to talk to the nurse, was enough to make her focus her magic some...She hadn't tried before, fearing it would only make her symptoms worse, but the fear of being left alone again, and tied down was becoming too much. She focused her magic, and weakly her horn flickered alive, and an aura surrounded the ropes and belts that held her down. "Move you...*coughs coughs* cursed...things..." she made the belts slowly untie themselves with her levitation and the straps...Once she felt free enough, she frailed her wings and threw herself off the bed...struggling to the door as Seth asked the nurse about getting her to Canterlot.

 

"A dog sled...sounds accurate..." Bliss panted as she weakly dragged herself to standing, "I know the perfect wolf...*coughs* for the...job..."

"Alright then. See y'all in the air"  With a flap of his wings Atlas was in the air. 

 

The sky was nice and clear. A bit chilly but nice. The expanse of Equestrian farmland was below him covering most of the land with a few towns here and there. In the distance was Canterlot sitting on its mountain looking over the land with authority. It was simply beautiful. No matter how many times he had seen a view like this it would never get old. His body was stuck on autopilot as he gazing on the land. He snapped himself out of his stupor and got back up to speed.

 

Boom was right. He had been going at full speed for a good ten minutes and he wasn't in the slightest tired. He really didn't know how to feel about the trade off. Having this power behind him now but at what cost? Having to kill a pony once a year? His head said it wasn't worth it but a darker part of him said it was a great deal. He encountered tones of evil and vile ponies taking one out of the world wouldn't be that bad in fact it would be good. A public service even. But a life is a life. He had no right to take it. He had already taken lives and he wasn't proud of it. Atlas shook his head knocking the thought out of his head. Now wasn't the time for ideology. He'd worry about that later.

 

His head empty of anything involving his new thoughts of blood and fangs he began to think up a game plan for the Everfree as well as any other business he would need to take care of. The Everfree plan would be easy. They could plan that later. His thoughts drifted to his family. He had no idea how they would take this. They would think he had lost it. If he was going to tell them about this new "development" he would have to do it in person. Then what? His father might be at least reasonable about it but his mother. She would have a heart attack. Atlas's mother had always been a bit overprotective which was probably for the better but Atlas despised it in his youth. Atlas was persistent on exploring ever nook and cranny of Cloudsdale and his mother would always scolded him about it. When she found out what his cutie mark was for she almost keeled over. She was a bit okay about him joining the guard but as soon as he announced his new profession to his family she forbid it. It took her awhile to accept Atlas's new job but she still harbored some disdain for his line of work. Atlas thought over it a little longer. Just one more letter to write once they were in Canterlot to pile up on the many others he needed to write...

At the sight at the weak mare, both the nurse and Seth charged to her aid. The nurse took one of her hooves to take her weit, beginning to guild her to her room again. That is, until the wolf said otherwise.

 

"If you really want me to guild you to Canterlot, I will do it Bliss... Just stay with me. I would hate to tell Night that I was the cause of his wife's death." He said with a light laugh. It was an attempt to raise her spirits, even though it was a potential possibility.

 

The nurse was kind enough to provide the wolf and the mare with a medical dog sled. It was usually used for emergency reprocess. As the wolf harnessed himself to the sled, the nurse helped Bliss into it as to keep her warm. When they were done prepping for the trip, Seth looked back to Bliss.

 

"You ready for a trip to Canterlot?"

Bliss helped herself with the nurse, pulling all the warmth of the fleece blankets and jackets to keep her warm as Seth finished tieing himself into the harness. Once she was also buckled down to the sled tightly so she wouldnt' fall off, she heard Seth ask if she was ready to go.

 

"Ready as I'll...*coughs* ever be...I just...can't stay here any longer..." she growaned as she tucked her nose under the blankets. "Go right ahead Seth!" She called out over the winds and held on tightly. "For the record!" she added in, "Nights wouldn't kill you...but he'd probably turn you into a tree!"

Seth gave a worm smile to the mare as she tucked herself in and gave the go ahead. Nodding back, he began to sprint away from the hospital and towards Canterlot. This would be a multi-day trip. As they left the village, the greywolf picked up speed. After about thirty minutes, he looked back to the mare to make sure she was alive. She was, but he could see the cold was not doing her well. Was  it a mistake taking her out of the hospital?

The wobbling of the sled, mixed with the cold whipping at any exposed area of her hooves or face, made her feel more and more incapable of staying awake. She'd be shivering from her fever as well as the freezing temps, but she was too weak to react. She watched the running movement of Seth as his form pulled the sled out in front of her. He was...from what she could tell, easily dodging obstacles like they were nothing. He might as well be running in an open field on a spring day.

 

She coughed violently again and groaned, trying to ignore the aching pains of her illness as he continued onward. Her vision doubled...blurry, making her head spin and ach at once. It was enough for her to stomach to turn upside down.

 

"Oh Luna...Seth...pp-pppp-PULL OVER!" She whinnied an hour later into the trip. As the sled slowed down enough, she rolled out of the blankets and haistly walked to the nearest tree which thankfully was only five feet away. She clenched her hindquarters together...and puked, her head lowered behind the tree while her rear end stuck out painfully. "D-don't come...*PUKES LOUDLY* ........don't...come over here..." she groaned and wiped her mouth...only to have to hurl up more.

Hearing the request from @Lightning Bliss, Seth slowed as quickly as he could. As the pail mare wobbled from the sled, Seth could only hear the gut-wrenching sounds as he looked away from the mare's tree. After the first few rounds of bile ended, Seth looked over. 

 

"Um... want me to... come over there?" He called as he tried to hold a paw to his nose as to guard against the acidic smell.

She weakly pulled her head out from behind the tree and wobbly turned back towards the sled, coming back to Seth to keep him from where she made the violent, groteque scene. "I'm...I'm...ok..." she spoke then slowly stummbled onto her knees, "think...I'll just...lie here for a moment-" she dropped to her side, her legs frozen stiff and kicked up into the air as gravity pulled her down.

 

Her stomach ached violently and the fever only proceeded to make her vision see double. She looked at the two wolves that stood over her protectively. "Seth...when are you..gonna stop being twos? It...really hurts my head..." she moaned... "are we...close to Canterlot?"

Seth took a moment to walk over and nuzzle Bliss into the sled as to protect her. He couldn't help but show his concern for her. She was dying and he might be the cause. He couldn't help but feel he might be the cause of the mares suffering... and death. No, he couldn't think that. He had to save her. She saved him countless times, now it was his turn.

 

After making sure she was in, he looked towards the snowy path that lay ahead. "Well, we have two options. One: we go down the mountain on some side trails. Two: we gown down the center of the mountain and go about ten minutes at a good 45 degree angle... Frankly, I leave it in your hooves."

 

The risk of the second option was that while it ended on a flat plain not far from canterlot, and Bliss would be rather safe in her sled, but Seth wondered if he would be fast enough to stay a head of the sled on the way down.

Shivering in the safety of the sled, the warm blankets hardly putting a dent in the cold she was experiencing...Bliss was barely able to understand what Seth was saying at this point. She heard along the lines of two ways down...and one did seem faster then the other.

 

"I...*coughs*...think...fastest way...best? Do...*coughs coughs* what...you...can..." she felt her eyes close involuntairly, too heavy to stand up anymore.

Badaboom head been sitting patiently in the front seat of the cockpit, and rather silent. At some point during the waiting she had brought her headphones over her ears when she then decided to bump her favorite track loudly to her, yet mute to the world around her. Once the song had looped two and a half times she pressed herself up in her seat to be facing Sidewinder. "We gunna head out soon?" Boom asked rethorically as she began to flip the switches that were in hoofs reach, while pulling on a handle as well hoping that her antics would push her friend along to get airborne.

Seth gave a light frown to the fast way, but instantly denied himself of feeling worried for himself over this. It was Bliss who needed to get down the mountain. Starting to speed towards the downwards slope, he called back to Bliss. "Stay with me princess... You are not dying today!" He yelled as they began to speed down the hill. As the slope increased, he began to notice that he hadn't needed to pull as hard, which was a bad thing. The sled was beginning to match and increase in speed.

"So...how's the ride for you Blissy? Comfortable?" Blight mocked the already weakened mind of her smaller, innocent half.

 

"Go away...I need to focus..." Bliss groaned at the vampiric evil that was her own being.

 

"On what exactly dear sister...To live? To be there for your precious pet wolf? To delay the inevtiable?" She chuckled and paced around the exhausted white mare. "Is that a few on the list to motivate you now? I'm afraid you are gonna need more then that..."

 

"I won't let you win Blight..." she groaned back, "evil like you should never win..."

 

"Ah I see, so this is about beating me, not about your life or your friends. Pathetic... You do realize the wolf that is pulling you right now...was your maker once? His blood is now tainted with our maker once more...Soon, well, if not already... He will do what needs to be done. It wouldn't surprise me if he killed you now and be done with it... But he knows of the prophecy too..." She spread her lips, revealing her fangs.

 

"Seth would never let that happen...he'd...never betray me..." Bliss groaned and curled up tighter into a ball.

 

"We'll see sister...But if you are wrong, which you probably are, do us a favor..." she walked up to be next to Bliss's ear.

 

"What...you flithly entity..."

 

"Try not to scream so much...it's quite annoying..."

It seemed as though her toying with the biplane's controls went in her favor, as Boom was swiftly waved away by the pilot, who quickly undid her shinanagens preparing the Jenny for lift off. Back securely in her seat Badaboom ignored Sidewinder and Breezy's goodbye as to give them the closest thing to privacy she could given the positioning of the three. Her headphones were still in place, but the loop feature was switched off allowing her mix of works to shuffle through her ears.

 

As the plane started to pull forward Badaboom pressed back in her seat with anticipation. Having not flown before, but always admiring the Pegasai in their ability to do so, needless to say she was pumped to get in the sky. The Jenny picked up speed and was soon on her way to the clouds above. With her mouth tightly closed Boom peered over the side to watch the ground pull farther and farther away, until it was completely shrouded by a sea of cloud.

 

The view was fantastic, and Boom would have verbalized this had she not been strictly told to keep her mouth closed. Not hearing Sidewinder's statement, but coincidently turning to look back at him with a wide smile of approval just in time to read the pilot pony's lips on the ETA in Canterlot. Nodding happily Badaboom repositioned herself into a more relaxed posture again letting her shielded eyes skim the soft nonthreatening clouds. She found herself pondering if she'd be able to see Atlas from this high up. Badaboom doubted it, thinking it more reasonable that the Pegasus would be at a much lower altitude, but she kept her eyes keen regardless.

Atlas gracefully flew through the skies. Nothing to do but think and fly. So thinking. What do do in Canterlot? Send some letters. Call up Done Deal to get them some rooms. Suck the blood out of an unwilling victim. Okay done thinking now. Just fly. Yes. Flying is good.

Over the wind Atlas's ear caught the a low droning noise. Looking back and up he saw Sidewinder's Jenny steadily gaining on him. Gaining already? Maybe his top speed wasn't that fast. He rose to get level with the approaching plane. A bit higher than he liked but it was okay. He let the plane gain on him then grabbed along side to not let it fall behind him. The sound of the engine drowned out anything he could have said.

"Ever been up this high!" Atlas shouted in Boom's face barely hearing himself. "Pretty, ain't it?!"

With little time to think, seeing as the sled would soon pass him, Seth tried with every might to gain speed. He had already been pushing his body beyond what most canines could ever achieve. He needed some way to just to get his body to move faster. He needed to save Bliss. He needed to!

 

Saving Bliss. As the thought kept swirling in his mind, he thought of what would happen if he failed. The lone thought of his failure being the end of the princess of peace. Somehow... he was killing Bliss. 

 

"No!" The wolf barked out, gaining a burst of energy. He was not going to let Lightning Bliss die. Not now, not ever! He had been saved by her, and now it was his turn to repay the dept. Gaining speed, he matched the sled's speed of decent and kept in in control as they continued towards canterlot. However, it was not known to the wolf that his eyes were beginning to turn a light shade of red.

 

 

----

 

Walking along the realm of thought, the dark grey wolf smiled as he he could see two mares in the distance; one he had been waiting to see for some time. Slowly striding towards them, the wolf faded out Bliss's form from the dream, only leaving Blight to be left with him.

 

"Well well well... if it isn't the bloodthirsty peace-keeper." Lust called out with a light smile, his tone was more rough then his physical counterpart. "Still trying to scare the weakling princess into letting go? It didn't exactly work last time, Blight. Even with my bite you still had a hard time subduing the little whelp's 'power'. Seth on the other hand was easy to take down this time around. He just needed a reason to accept his power, and I guess I should thank you for that. He want's Bliss alive... so I am letting myself slip in as long as she stays safe. He so far is giving no resistance... try it some time. It beats whatever you are doing with miss rainbow." He finished explaining as he looked over his former potential love.

"Master..." Blight turned to Lust and bowed in a sarcastic motion. "It...truely has been a long time...but you fail to see my plans..." She approached the vamperic wolf spirit of Seth's dark impulses, rubbing her side up against his in a flirtasious way. "Should my little rainbow sister die...the prophecy dies with her... I'm merely encouraging her illness to stay where it is. Should it to be cured, she would be more of a fighter against Badaboom."

 

After rubbing herself in some sort of affection against her maker, she sat down just a few feet behind him with her back turned.

 

"If she were to die, Badaboom wouldn't absorb my sister's alicorn magic...and I would cease to exist...Don't you see?" She tilted her head back and winked at Lust, "you wouldn't want that...would you master? After all, you wouldn't want your protege not become queen of the vampires would you? And..." she sliterthered up next to her maker, wrapping a wing around him, "with you as my king..."

Lust rolled his eyes with a smile for his pupil's work. "I will admit, you were always one for scaring the little mare. However, I would like to say one thing before departing. Boom is resurrecting the vampire goddess. What makes you think she will not try and take her power when the deed is done?" He asked as he turned to leave the realm of thought.

After five minutes running down the canterlot mountain, the tired wolf slowed his pace as the snow began to be replaced with grass. It was winter after all, so he could still pull the sled towards the city. After checking to make sure Bliss was still alive, he moved onward for Canterlot hospital.

Blight shrugged as her maker turn and left, calling out to him without looking.

 

"Well she is still proving to be as stubborn as ever..." she moaned as he was leaving, "It's hard doing this all by my lonesome...And...if she keeps fighting the way she is, this illness I placed on her, to her unawareness...will be cured. I wouldn't mind...some of my master's own insentive... If you get the chance. Why don't you visit with her some? Give her a reason to...relax and enjoy the inevitable." She fluttered eyes then as her maker began to deminish back to the realms of Seth's mind.

 

"After all, we both have to agree, she was more terrified of you..."

 

-- Real World --

 

Bliss opened her eyes groggily, unaware of the mind rape going on within the dark regions of her brain. She was startled awake slightly by the change of slantness to flat and rough gravel and snow. She could suddenly see Canterlot in the distance...and Seth running at indescribably speeds. He seemed...different to her in some way...like his coat had gotten grayer..."Just...in..your mind...Seth is...still....here..." she fell back asleep again, praying Blight wouldn't disturb her for the time being.

As if on cue, Badaboom saw the familiar two-toned mane of Atlas appear from the clouds below, and quickly he made his way up to meet her face to face. Atlas gripped the side of the Jenny as to keep up pace, Boom wasn't sure how Sidewinder would take this, but didn't pay the thought much heed. In combination with the sounds of the plane and those pounding through her ear drums Badaboom couldn't hear Atlas, but could still easily read his lips considering how close he was.

 

Badaboom Box shook her head in response to Atlas's first question taking another moment to observe the surroundings. Which being nothing more than blue sky and cloud was still indeed beautiful. She then smiled a nod to make her answer to the second inquiry obvious. Not believing that the given moment proved a threat of broken tooth she still decided to follow the rules set forth by the pilot, and remained silent.

Canterlot; a peaceful city for all to enjoy. With the light snow adding to the already present layer of powder, the shining capital couldn't be more perfect... other then a rather large wolf thundering down the main streets with a sled in tow. The canine had only one target in mind: the Canterlot hospital. He would have taken Bliss to the castle, but knew the hospital would be quicker for recovery.

 

After nearly plowing down a few innocent bystanders, Seth brought the sled alongside the hospital and unstrapped himself from the harness. Going to Lightning Bliss's side, he brought her atop his back and trotted into the building. Demanding that the mare recive medical attention at once, he waited for the medical team to react.

Inside the mind of Bliss-

 

 

Walking back to the familiar mind of the once powerful alicorn, Lust stowed around until he spied his target, Lightning Bliss. With a smirk, he growled at the mare as he advanced on her. "Well.... still as pathetic as the day I bit you, Bliss. Seems keeping the peace is still on your 'needs improvement' list, seeing as you can't even control Blight." The dark wolf mocked, glaring at the mare.

She could feel herself being carried, and several urgent voices. Seth...he must have made it to the hospital...Wonderful wolf... She smiled and relaxed herself as she felt the team of medical ponies carry her to a soft rolling bed. A rush of a breeze signaled she was being pushed rapidly to urgent care...she could only hope that Seth was still by her side, protecting her wellbeing, and once again gave back into sleep. Curse this disease...what could be causing it..?

 

-- Inside her mind --

 

She startled in what felt like a nightmare as once again the dark abyss of her mind gave way to red...

 

"That...that voice..." a shiver ran up and down her spine repeatly, making her quiver as she slowly turned around, spotting the vampire that once turned her... "Lust...?"

 

She tried to situp, only to fall back down on her belly again. Feeling more helpless then ever before, she scooted back instead, using her backhooves to guide her. Unlike Blight, she had no control over the vamperic wolf's actions.

 

"Leave me alone..." she pleaded, "just go away! This is a dream! This is all a bad dream!"

 

-- Outside --

 

"By the Princesses!" The earth pony doctor whinnied in urgency, "her tempature was two degrees down moments ago...Now it's skyrocketed! We need ice in here stat!" He shouted orders as nurses began running back and forth delievering small bags of ice to place next to the ill alicorn. "What is causing this??" He studied the machines the small Princess was hooked up to, before turning to the noble wolf who no doubt saved her life by bringing her here. "Good lord? Seth Eclipse correct? How did this happen? Can you think of anything that might give us the key to what could be causing this?"

Badaboom Box cast her eyes off the flying Pegasus to Sidewinder for a moment, just long enough to blink an eye at him. Her smile warped into a more devious one as she quickly spun her head back to Atlas. If not just to entertain the pilot, but also humor herself. Boom rapidly snagged the hooves of Atlas and flung them upward, forcing him to lose his grip.

 

Tossing her friend from the side of the plane, Boom couldn't help but laugh. It was a harmless prank as there wasn't any obstacles for Atlas to crash into. Boom was especially careful that she tossed him in a safe direction from the Jenny, so that the Pegasus wouldn't be sent into the biplane itself. Her laughing slowly came to a hault, but held the wicked smile, as the mare looked back over her shoulder to watch Atlas regain his composure. Having some time left before the group would arrive in Canterlot, Boom hoped that Atlas would see her action as the joke it was ment to be.

Why was she grinning like that? Atlas thought before being flung from the side if the aircraft. "AGH!" And bug in his mouth... Delicious...

He flipped back around and was upright once again. After checking if the bug was out of his mouth or down his throat he chased after the plane. Yeah... So much for that. 

 

Oh, I'll so getting back at you once we're back in Canterlot. Atlas thought with a grin. Maybe Boom wasn't so bad as he had thought. She defiantly didn't seem to hold a grudge. Good. The last thing he needed was someone to butt heads with right now. Maybe this was the start of something good and not as bad as Atlas had first thought. Atlas smiled and kept flying feeling alright for one of the few times in the past three days.
