My Story.

 

It all started in the spring of 2013 when my brother made a RD Blackops 2 emblem. I asked why he made it and he said "I am subbed to this guy named Kuledud3 on Youtube. He is a brony and i wanna be one too." Him being 12 at the time I didnt really think much of it. 

 

Fast forward to the beginning of summer break. I was board hanging with my friends and as a joke I said "Well might as well go watch My Little Pony" We had a laugh and I left to my house. When I hopped on my computer, I thought of my brother making that emblem, so I decided to watch episode 1 of season 1. After I finnished, I thought "This is a 2 parter, I have to watch the other part to get a full understanding of the show." Before I knew it, I watched all 3 Seasons.

 

I told my brother about me being a brony and he called me a "Gay Faggot". I asked why he called me that and he replied "That show is for little girls.". I then asked why he made that BO2 emblem. He said that he WAS a wannabe brony and he only liked the concept of it for about a week.

 

Soon after that, he told my whole family and some of his friends. This pissed me the hell off. When the school year came around, my parents told me to cut the shit and man up. Yet I withstood their attacks and eventually they warmed up to it.

 

Now, I am 16, and my brother doesn't mind that I am a brony. He no longer makes fun of me. My parents even bought me a RD swimsuit, a Trixie T-shirt, and even collected all the McDonalds MLP toys.

The same thing happened to me when I went to watch the first episode. I got sucked in! 

 

That's rather awesome that your parents know about your Bronyism and are okay with it now, I didn't think there was such a thing as a "Wannabe Brony" though. Evidently, you will find many other people with similar stories on this forum. That's more people to relate to!!

 

Anywho, thank you for sharing your story with us, it was really interesting!
