Summer is just around the corner!

Ah. My school year is coming to a close, and I'm pretty excited to get back into my summer routine :D

What's my summer routine, you ask? :D

Well, I treat summertime differently than I do the school year, and my schedule is much different :D I thought it'd be an interesting thing to blog about :D

Daily schedule, you ask? Let's do it :D

  • I wake up at 2 a.m. every morning.
  • I cook myself breakfast; it's usually just eggs and black coffee, though. I'm done at about 2:45 a.m.
  • At about 3 a.m. I sit down at my computer and begin writing; I've been a writer since as long as I could remember, and whether it be a journal entry or fanfic, I write it all down there. You might see some of my early morning blogs this summer ;)
  • I'm done writing at 7 a.m.
  • I change out of my comfortable pajamas and put on some old clothes. At 7:30 a.m. I'm outside painting the fence surrounding our land; I get paid $3.50 a panel.
  • I'm done painting at 10:30 a.m.
  • After I'm done painting, I take a nice long bubble bath (I'm feminine, shoot me.) I'm done with that by 11:30 a.m.
  • After that, it's my freetime. I'll take a nap, plan out what I write, watch a baseball game, or just screw around on my computer; I'm done with life and I wind down the day by 8:30 p.m. and start all over again in the morning.

Now, this schedule may seem a bit far fetch'd, but it's part of the reason I find summers so enjoyable :D I do break away from it and cut down on my writing time in favor of sleep as the summer nears it's end, but overall, this summertime schedule is a tradition I've done every year since I was 14 :D Call it what you will, I find it to be rather enjoyable and a big part of why I love the summertime so much :D

Until next time! :D

It is a rather unusual schedule but so long as it works for you, a lot of people find my schedule a bit unusual. I got to bed at 9PM and wake up at 5AM partly because I like the extra time it gives me during the day and because I work 6AM shifts 2, sometimes 3 days a week at work with the other shifts being mid shifts starting at 11AM.

Hey, bubble bath's aren't feminine, they are amazing, especially after a hard day of work! ^-^

I originally assumed you said you wake up at 2 P.M. like most people in the summer, so I had to read that part again.

That's actually really interesting though. I've never heard anything like it. Glad you found something that works for you. :)

You sleep 8:30 pm and wake at 2 am? Damn, Ghostie. I don't know how you do it lol If I'm gonna get up at 2 am, I need to be in bed by 6 pm.

I did something similar to this last semester from September to after finals week in December. I'd go to bed at 7 pm and get up at 3 am to study for about 4 to 6 hours before going to class. I just found it was much easier to be productive right after I got up rather than at the end of the day when I'm already spent.

I'm not much for baths, though. I find a hot shower is the best way to go. And the best way to piss my roommate off since it only takes about 15 minutes to drain our tiny water heater

Most summers, I'd sleep in til 10 in the morning. However, I'll be working this summer so I plan on being up by 5:30 to 6:00 every morning. I might get up earlier and go jogging before going to work. I wanna try living a healthier life this summer. If I'm working full time for a salary this summer, then I can afford to get healthier things (cause, ya know a double cheeseburger costs 99¢ while a salad costs $4.99...and we wonder why everyone is overweight...). Also, I can finally afford to buy a decent pair of running shoes :D

2 am is a little overkill for me in summer. But hey, man, whatever works for ya! :D

I could never wake up at 2 am o.O

I used to wake up at 3:30 when I had my 4AM shifts at work so I was able to adjust to but any earlier than 3 and I would feel like hell.

4AM shifts....that must suck. I don't think I could stand getting up any earlier than like 6 lol

It did at first but then after a week or two I started to love them and if there was a way I could get those back that would be pretty awesome.

My schedule is exactly the same in summer, only I complain more about the heat. It's getting to be about 60 degrees here. I already miss winter.

We usually break 100 30 - 40 times every summer :D

Only 60 degrees? Last weekend it was in the high 90's where I live, I only needed to step outside for a little bit and I felt like I was going to pass out. I live in Southern California and we have nice weather most of the time but every now and then a heat wave like that will come up. I used to live in a valley though and in a valley when it is hot it is really fricken hot but now I live closer to the ocean which moderates the temperature a bit thanks to the breezes.

Yea, I myself am not looking forward to those hot sticky Nebraska summers!
