An interesting headcanon, though I believe the Crystal Heart book explained Cadence's origins and Meghan has made mention that was canon (something the DHX writers don't do with any other books), want to hear?

I haven't read that one. But what does it talk about?

Note I may not be stating it exactly but it goes as:

It mentions that Cadence use to be a baby pegasus pony who was found in a basket in a pony village and raised by them. She was leading a normal life till an evil villain came and she managed to actually defeat the villain by using the pure goodness and love within herself to purify the villain. Being able to successfully turn a villain to good using her own moral compass, Celestia transferred her to the same place Twilight was in MMC and bestowed upon her Alicornhood for performing a great magical feat at such a young age and Celestia adopted her as her niece and raised her since.

It's a shame that wasn't the focus of the story as I would rather have read on Cadence's background rather than read a story of how Twilight's going to be a more effective Alicorn princess and ruler that Season 4 I felt covered well enough.

Now her being a descendent of the original rulers of the Crystal Empire is not dead as we have no idea of whom Cadence's parents were. For all we know, her parents and herself were descendents of those original rulers that were exiled once Sombra came to town and kicked them out.

Alright here's my theory. Cadance's father who was a descendant of Amore, took a vacation to Cloudsdale and found a female pegasus he loved. He got married and gave birth to Cadance. And though her father was a unicorn, she was born a Pegasus because her mother was a pegasus. During a Cloudsdale race, one of the racers accidentally knocks Cadance off Cloudsdale like Fluttershy and she fell into a village and was adopted by earth ponies and later adopted by Celestia.

That's all I can come up with.

Perhaps, that can be the case as all we know that she was adopted by village ponies for whatever reason and her biological parents are nowhere to be seen or even heard from, heck they maybe dead for all we know.

And by the way I think vacation is a good plot device.
