I hate awards.

So, I got an award that I didn't want (it was for science, if you're wondering). Which is great you might say, but really, it's not. I mean, I doubt my employer will care about a certificate that I got in Year 11. But it gets worse (or better if you like laughing at mild annoyances). I now have to get up at 8am in the morning to go to school ( I had planned to skip it) to get a photo taken.

Life is a cruel, heartless bitch.

Also, that was sarcasm. Just in case that wasn't clear. I mean, I don't care for the award, but I feel that I have to state that this was sarcastic, through and through.

Why.

Just why has every single thing in our life be some kind of benefit for the future. The awards are here for the challenge and for doind what we like.

Because if they did not hold value for ones future then they would be incredibly lame and not even worth our time.

The only valuable achievements not based on future value are those you set for yourself. (at least at the high school level)

Hence why I don't like to advertise my efforts.

I don't need some stupid factory-made lump of matter to tell me who I am or what I did. That, and in a few weeks, my "success" will be forgotten.

Something like a certificate can be nice for remembering notable achievements though, or completing legal shit like paperwork.
