  1. 1. Which of the following Anesthesia methods should I go with?

    • Local
      3
    • Sedation

    • General

It's been a long time since I have ever had surgery done to any part of my body.

Tomorrow (May 27, 2015), I will have all 3 of my Wisdom Teeth removed.

I'm wondering if any of you had your wisdom teeth removed yet. And if so, I would like you guys to vote on the poll I have set up asking the question, "Which Anesthesia method should I go with?

Keep in mind, I'd rather be asleep when the surgery starts.

I had a local anesthetic when I had all 4 of mine removed a few years ago and though I was fully awake and aware of what was happening to me (though I was kind of really out of it) I didn't feel a thing. I was so doped up for that entire day that I could have been punched in the face and probably barely even felt anything.

Yeah I also have local when I had all four removed. I guess I got lucky because after taking the pain meds I never really felt any pain. When I had to go under to get my adnoids in my nose removed waking up felt really bad and took a couple hours.

I had the knock-out intravenous anesthetic. I was pretty scared (then again, like I overreact a lot) because I had heard about people dying and whatnot from overdoses. But I mean it wasn't bad at all, you just fall asleep, and I dunno, like you (at least in my situation) don't bother to fight it off. Then again, they gave me a sedative, and then the anesthetic.

And when they're done, you'll wake up, and it'll all be over ^^. Just make sure that you don't do anything crazy afterwards, because I remember waking up and texting someone (good thing my mom didn't let me send the text because it was gibberish), and then the next instant I was in the car with no recollection of getting into the elevator or leaving the office.
