Damn, you went wild on this one.  And yes, gaming IS fucked.  It's all about shooting, cursing, and those stupid sex scenes these days, with almost no one caring about the family-friendly games.  When do we get back to the old roots?

Not all games are all about that though. Take Pokemon, Super Mario Maker, LEGO Dimensions and Pokken Tournament for example.

I see what you mean about that statement though as most Xbox games have that sort of stuff. One of the reasons why I chose the Wii U.

I saw you playing that on the xbone the other day and thought:

Well, this is what you should expect from an mmo. It's about grinding over and over again against bullet sponge enemies. Imagine if instead of people, you were shooting up heavily armoured dragons. It'd feel less unrealistic there would it?

If the enemies were at least wearing some kind of armor, it would be a bit more tolerable, maybe even some kind of helmets, but most of the enemies are gangster-looking idiots that are wearing standard clothing but still taking tons of shots to the face. Not to mention they have perfect accuracy while shooting a pistol with one hand. It is just stupid.

It is not a platform specific issue. Each system has their good and bad games. For example, the One has Elite Dangerous, which is an amazing game, the Wii U doesn't have that. The Wii U has Mario Maker, but it is also a third party disaster. 

So it is not anything related to platform, but rather the state of gaming in general. Destiny has basically opened the floodgates for terrible games like itself and the Division. 

I keep saying that the problem lies mainly with the consumer rather than the faceless corporations that keep shitting out these grindy, microtransaction filled games. If nobody bought these games, they would probably stop making them. Being loud about the flaws in them won't change anything since they see us as money bags because we as consumers keep enabling this type corporate behavior. If everyone were to stop being mindless sheep and giving these companies our hard-earned money every goddamn year they might actually pay attention since the only thing they understand and care about is $$$.
