Sparklefan1234 179,767 Posted February 18, 2018 (edited) @Captain Clark I agree with you that Wallflower shouldn't have held Sunset Shimmer 100% responsible for her inability to make friends when she'd been using the Memory Stone to eliminate moments where Wallflower felt she wasn't being seen in the best way by those around her. One thing I am happy about that @Nye pointed out, was Wallflower didn't turn into a generic monster this time around. That's a "plus" in my book. Tacodidra 61,693 Posted February 19, 2018 (edited) I loved the special but I can see why you felt this way. In general, the Mane 6/7 seem to be quite forgiving. I guess it's a testament to their character, as in some of those situations, there was no way to prove the villain had really learned their lesson (Discord in "Twilight's Kingdom" being an obvious example – what would have happened if Tirek hadn't betrayed him?). As for Sunset not having done anything to hurt Wallflower, that was a problem that could have been solved quite easily. As it has been established many times (including in this special) that Sunset used to be mean, it would have been pretty easy to include her having been mean to Wallflower at some point in the past. Maybe the upcoming YouTube version with a few additional minutes might clarify a few things, though it's probably unlikely. In spite of these flaws, it was still my favorite EqG special to date. Thank you for your comment and I have to agree with everything you said. Including really enjoying it overall. I may have really disliked Wallflower but there were just too many things that I liked for me to call it bad or anything. Despite my issues with it, it’s my favorite EQG special as well! 3 Link to comment
Violet Bookish 350 Posted February 19, 2018 You honestly highlighted all my issues with Wallflower. I've been where she's at but never would I ever think of messing with someone's memories, that's just awful. Another issue I had that you sort of addressed, kind of on the same vein as the special putting the blame on Sunset. but I really don't like the fact the special shames Sunset for being frustrated and mean. There's nothing wrong with being frustrated and upset during stressful situations, it's just a part of being human. Also, they acted like she was in the wrong for being mean to WallFlower when she figured out she was the culprit, but WallFlower deserved that. In fact, I kind of wished the main six gave her a stern talking to rather than being so forgiving. Also, in the special WallFlower made people forget awkward interactions between her in them, saying that was nearly all the interaction she had with others. So, on top of the fact she acted rude toward Sunset, not even giving an effort to reach out, and now this information, she's even more at fault for being unnoticed! Kinda makes it seem more like Sunset was just an innocent target for her rage, like some others said. Anyways, just thought I'd point those things out, but great blog 3 Link to comment

That is a really good point that I might consider adding to the blog. While crediting you of course. XD I’m glad you enjoyed it too. 2 1 Link to comment
