Ha. You just made me realize that the 'belt' around the hat is the same color of his skin.

The hat is an ongoing gag in the series where he is SO rich the hat is just "out of the scene" with how big it is. But I am not sure if the animators got lazy and simply just kept making the lines really long to be "out of the scene" and "out of the way" or if it just became an intentional gag that nobody could ever see the top of his hat but over the years and series, the hat just kept getting longer and longer the more the camera would pan out and I just find that kind of thing absolutely hilarious. Some legitimate Banterlot level of shenanigans. Where a gag has some weird origin or root story behind it for one reason or another and it just keeps going and going. :ButtercupLaugh:

I kept telling myself to not click this after reading the title of the thread to not click this.

However, my curiosity got the better of me and I needed to find out what this was. :izzy-oooh:

That 16 seconds of waiting was well worth the wait! :eager: 

I remember seeing his regular hat and then another episode where he has an extremely long hat randomly. :ButtercupLaugh:
