My hope for Rainbow Dash's character in Season 4

It seems like ever since season 2, Rainbow Dash has become much more aggressive and rude, to the point where she has just become very widely hated. Honestly, she isn't the Dashie I fell in love with anymore. And it's sad, honestly. I hope that in season 4, the writers tone her aggression down a bit and make her character, well, less of a bitch. She can be competitive and confident without being arrogant and aggressive. I hope the writers realize that Rainbow Dash doesn't need to be a douchey bitch to still be herself. And it really pains me to say that about Dashie, but it's the truth. She has become a douche. And it needs to stop.

I agree with you. Rainbow Dash represents loyalty, we need another episode for her to show that.

So in other words, season three was shit.

Don't worry, though; with a full season with 26 episodes set to be in swing coming up, there will be a lot more opportunities to get back to the blueprint FiM originally set out for itself.

I feel like season 1 showcased her good qualities a lot more, such as her loyalty, and also portrayed her as competitive, but not in a way that made her look like a bitch.

Since season 2, Dash has done nothing but be aggressive and rude towards others.

Frankly, I don't know why the writers decided to make her act this way, but it kinda pisses me off.

I always saw her as arrogant. I guess it's just a habit of mine to label someone as arrogant as soon as they brag, no matter what they're bragging about

...You do realize that her characterization in Season 3 was really really good overall right?

Sure, if you ignore the fact that she was acting like a bitch a lot of the time.

Look at that crystal pony episode.

Might've been a bit insensitive, but she was only trying to distract everyone in the only way she knew how to. She more than made up for it with taking care of Scootaloo and sticking up for her principles at the Wonderbolt Academy IMO.

Yes, at least those episodes showed the good side of her. I just wish the bad side of her wasn't so prominent these days.

She acted like a bitch from the very beginning. If anything, she's gotten a bit less bitchy.

taking care of Scootaloo

The way she went about helping out Scoots was absolutely disgusting. She still couldn't get over herself completely to help someone else out. If anything, I found that episode to be more evidence that she's self-absorbed to the point in which it's appalling.

I think they did a great job with Rainbow Dash in season 3, her and Applejack had their strongest performances yet. Yes we saw a bit of Rainbow Dash's arrogant and brash side but we also saw a softer side of her that she is often reluctant to show in Sleepless in Ponyville by taking a sisterly role to Scootaloo that present great opportunities for character development for both of them. And in Wonderbolt Academy we saw that she can be responsible when she called out Lightning Dust for her reckless and dangerous behavior.

It is this character development that has bumped Rainbow Dash up to my 3rd and later 2nd favorite pony. If the writers continue in this direction for Rainbow Dash in season 4 we will see far less hate toward Rainbow Dash and more appreciation for her as a character. Rainbow Dash is still brash and arrogant but has improved in this and with some further gradual improvement in this and addressing her reluctance to address her emotions I believe she will reach her potential as a character.

No.

Define "bitch," and maybe she has gotten bitchier based off your definition.
