Rockymoo 2,137 Posted August 25, 2013 ...Fuck. But seriously, I understand dude. Priorities. That's life for ya. I wish I could say I'd work on spells, but frankly I don't know my ass from my elbow when it comes to magick. Regardless, see ya in a few months. We'll miss you, broski. 1 Link to comment
Heretick-Tock 462 Posted August 26, 2013 ...Fuck. But seriously, I understand dude. Priorities. That's life for ya. I wish I could say I'd work on spells, but frankly I don't know my ass from my elbow when it comes to magick. Regardless, see ya in a few months. We'll miss you, broski. I'd suggest beginning to look into some occult material for yourself. Stay away from anyone who has a name that sounds stupid, like "Silver Raven Wolf". And avoid ALL Wiccan material at all costs. Dion Fortune, Israel Regardie, Phil Hine, Carl Jung, Aleister Crowley, Simon (Simon's Necronomicon) and Malaclypse the Younger are all wonderful references (just to name a few). Seriously though, discover what works for you and what doesn't. See what speaks to you and what remains silent, and why it remains silent. Most of all: don't be afraid of what you find. Self discovery is a hard, unforgiving road that has plenty of twists and turns. Absolutely nothing about magick is easy, not even the most basic elements of the stuff. But if you want to see changes occur in your life and in yourself, then it's going to take some work. The more you learn, the less you understand; sometimes it's best that we don't question something and just let it be that way, simply because it is what it is and nothing else. Not everything needs an answer. Applying human philosophies to something that is distinctly nonhuman is both dangerous and inaccurate. Just because it doesn't make sense to you does not mean it doesn't make sense... to you. If you search outside yourself for answers you'll only find more questions, which is a good thing. The more questions you have, the more answers you'll need, and the less you'll understand. Unless you want to be at peace, then you should just accept everything as it is. 1 Link to comment
Rockymoo 2,137 Posted August 26, 2013 I'll be sure to keep all of this in mind and do a little experimenting on my own. Thanks for the advice, my good chap. Link to comment
