How are alt accounts handled.

I think it sould be added the fact that is posible to change the "public name" once in a while trough the user profile (at the upper right of the forum´s page).

For example, I register this account as "SilverComet" just for the roleplaying posibilities (abstractable_noun+object_noun being an cool basis for a ponysona character name); but my alias at ~everywhere else~ on the interwebs its "Argamis" (more obscure meaning, based on another language).

If I want to be identified by some users (that may know me beforehand from my activity on other forums), I can change it for a while, then fallback to the roleplay ID later, (or viceversa if I do not plan to do RP anymore).

We have multiple ways of determining whether or not more than one account is operated by the same person.

"Multiple ways" meaning only things like ips and user  agents and whatnot that could easily be two different people? 

For example, when I created my account, I was on my phone, which I think has a differnt IP than my house.

Nope. There are other methods as well. Including social ones as well as technical.

I have tried to go to equristra.tv, but it will not let me login, saying I have created too many accounts on this computer, but this is the only account that I am aware of creating, not to mention I am the only one to have access to my computer ever. can you please help me?

Equestria.tv has it's own staff due to it's completely different way of doing things, so if you could send an email to support@poniverse.net it will probably get routed to the right place... I hope.

I have a few questions I would like to ask both to the multiple account part and the Equestria TV part.

To the first part about multiple accounts part does this mean there is no way or method to create a separate RP account from the original user account then?

I ask because if I go for any RP I go very indepth to the character I'M RPing as and as such I usually make sure to eliminate any possible distraction to being said character.

In other words, I completely separate myself by heart and mind from everything else as much as possible even small things like an account name, friends etc. I go to such extreme measure so I can get a more empathetic approach to the character. 

For example if I were to RP as AJ Id update my computer background to that of farms, farming equipment, read up on gardening, wood working etc in my head imagine planting seeds with my hooves, the feel of the dry dirt and sound of the earths natural rhythm below my forehooves as I grind into 'er, the smell of apples, hearing Big Mac on the other side of me etc etc.

You get the point but yeah is there no way to create a completely separate account for that?

As for the Equestrian TV part for some reason my computer browser refuses to recognize the link to the site at all.

Does EQ TV not like certain browsers or something that one should know about?

As for RP characters, it is possible to create your own in the +Create drop down menu at the top of the forum page. If you have any technical issues, make a thread in the Site Questions section of the forum since there are dedicated staff for RP that can answer those questions better than me.
