Wow, Descant - these are awesome! I wish I could do that, or at least more than the eyes - when I try to draw ponies, I do the eyes pretty well and fail at the rest. Is it hard to learn how to do? If it is, could you help me make one for an OC or two? (That may take a while, because I'm kinda' drowning a little in all this homework...)

Oh, and just out of curiosity, how did you put the little music note things at the end of your signature?

I know I'm not in this RP, but it just looks like it'll be so interesting...

At the end of the RP, the train totally should be renamed the midnight train. And Moonbeam has to end up with "a city boy." I had that song stuck in my head my entire junior year of high school

I have February break here in Massachusetts, and I just got back from winter camping (BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR).

By the way: I KNEW IT!!! I may have paid too much close attention, but at the end of the Season 3 Opening episode (part 2), Luna, just for a second, had a big book which vanished in a short amount of time. I KNEW it would amount to something - it was the book of spells of Starswirl the Bearded! HA! ... Sorry, I just felt I had to say something. 

That episode gave me an idea. How about having it so that the Elements of Harmony have onyx pendants instead of the colors they used to be. And if anypony, even the Mane 6, puts them on, they would feel like they were made out of lead. Pinkie's necklace could also be cracked to symbolize her erasure from the earth. Since the Mane 6 are all corrupted now, it would be up to the OCs to restore them.

That's kind of what I was thinking - the Elements are "broken" because their bearers are no longer friends, and the Elements are pretty much powered by the magic of friendship.

hmm... Never was good with names. I have to think of The Artists real name is and i can't come up with anything. Anypony got any suggestions?

That sounds like a pretty good plan to me. It could work.

Well, i guess it all depends one when the website, or whatever it is, is finally up.

And its not my Keyboard its me. I'm a horrid typer. Its sorta like dyslexia but with typin'. Fingers don't always press the right keys in the right order if i type fast. Its very weird. Thats why i always have typos in many things i type. Some days are better than others though. I'll try to make it so there are no typos in the RP but i make no promises.

I definitely don't type well, but if I misspell something or if there's a typo I'm just too picky to ignore it. It gets REALLY annoying sometimes.

The laughting mare speaks using pinky pie's corps, not to mention if the laughting mare comes to the mortal realm, i would assume she would use pinkies body.

 

But me and scholar talked about it a long time ago, but the laughting mare is pretty much pinky's angry and kinda crazy spirit wanting revenge. But deep down the real pinky is their somewere hoping that her friends can save her. If you want il link you to the pm so you can read are discussion.

Oh yeah, forgot about the use of Pinkies' body. That's probably a bad sign, seeing as I'm the mod.

I did kinda have an idea of maybe Tondrak possibly falling in love with the laughting mare. Having an undead romance with a skeleton and a decomposing corps. It's just an idea at this point, i don't overly mind if we can't put it in the roleplay. But what do u guys think about that idea?

Ha! That's fine with me, although do be warned that she can unleash tons of the undead and smiling dolls and cadaver carousels and those worm thingies on your OC if you dump her. 

And the Laughing Mare is not a corpse, she's a ... goddess thing. Are you confusing her with Pinkies' corpse?

 

On romances with the Mane Six such is possible but unlikely and here are the reasons why:

 

* On Pinkie Pie do I even need to say anything? Pinkie Pie is physically dead, her body preserved by magic. There is the Laughing Mare but one would have to be more then insane then to try anything in that direction.

 

Are romances with anypony allowed at all? I don't have any plans, and I really don't want to read or type anything too, er, "descriptive." I'm just curious.

If anyone tries to do anything like that with the Laughing Mare, this mod's gonna' have some FUN.

Hahaha! Thats brilliant. Thats brings back memeorys of the show. Too bad its gone =/ Though i'm not sure if its the Guardians who are the ones who are going to be doin the savin. Mainly we are. Most of us. Unless we all join the Guardians. Then it would be them. But really i think they are just there to point us in the right direction. Be like our guides i guess.

About the song stuff, I thought that, since everyone here seems to watch it, the Avatar: Last Airbender intro would be fitting for the RP.

While we wait for this RP to get up and going, I thought it may be fun to ask a question:

Does your OC have any particular grudge against any of the houses? Do they have a preferred enemy they fight? Why exactly?

Where to begin . . .

Well, she hates Stormwing to a degree for destroying her life she had in Ponyville, she hates Earthborn for killing her Dad, she hates The Cult for turning her Mother into a smiling doll, she doesn't like Moon and Star all that much due to the way they treat non-unicorns, and she doesn't like lies along with House Whitegold. The only house she doesn't have anything against is House Everfree.

Yes; House Moon and Star is the main source of Nightfall's (who will be known as Dusk Graystone until he is discovered) hatred.

 

Do they have a preferred enemy they fight?

 

He wants to fight Twilight and "knock her into her senses."

 

Why exactly?

Man, you've gotta' love Uncle Iroh. That guy is just completely amazing. When he's being tracked down by people who want to kill him, all he cares about is weather or not he gets his tea.

Ok, it looks like you guys came up with a better system. Headers in color with the location of your oc and what house there in.

 

So we will do it like in descent's example:

Whitegold - Manehattan's Undercity

Encore despised the times that he had to sit around and attend to the petty problems of the populace of the undercity. "And what is it you need?" He asked the next beggar irritably.

 

Everfree - Somewhere between Royal Castle Ruins and Ghastly Gorge

Evergreen grinned at her commander as they marched. She herself sat upon the back of a giant timbre wolf. It was time for the Forest to expand.

 

I like this system alot because we will know were the oc's currently are in the roleplay, which will avoid making mistakes such as replying to someone who is in an entirely diffrent city than you. It will also make some players happy to make their caracters speaking a diffrent color.

 

For the houses header colors i think it should be:

House Moon and star - purple

House Whitegold - gray

House Earthborn - dark orange

House Everfree - dark green

House Stormwing - medium blue

Cult of laughter - red

Guardians of harmony -  (black) automatic

 

Guys, I know it might be annoying to make headers at the start of all of your posts but it's going to make the roleplay alot more clear and better overall. Now, are there any objections with this system or the colors chosen? Or do you guys agree with this.

This seems like a pretty reasonable system. I agree.

On an unrelated note, some peoples wanted to see a drawing I made, and I took a picture on my phone, and I don't know if/how the phone connects to the computer, so . . . yeah, this might take a while to upload. Sorry.

 

Final question for everyone. How dedicated would you say you are to this roleplay on a scale of 1 to 10?

1 being that you would drop out as soon as you get slightly bored with the roleplay

10 being that you would stay in the roleplay from start to finish

I would say I am an eight or nine - I've worked hard on my character and can't wait to get going, and I really want to see how this ends. Like AnonBrony said, I may leave if the posts stop, although that is doubtful, considering the amount of people included in this RP and the amount of work that was put into it. I may not be on all the time though, because I have not too much time Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Thursday, and I have like ten minutes on Wednesdays (which I am using to post right now   )

Ohhh, I can't WAIT to get this started! Actually, I want to add one thing to my bio - I can wait for about a day.

Well, continuing about the Cult of Laughter I just took a look at that "unit list". This was at an incredibly low resolution due to my phone refusing to load properly.

 

I can hereby tell you that it is genuinely the most sinister and disturbing thing I have seen in my life. Cupcakes... Well it doesn't even compare to these horros.

 

But don't worry guys/gals, I wasn't planning on sleeping anyway. And even if I was then there's no way a creepy automaton with a smile carved into its face would deter me... Um... OH GOD SAVE ME!

 

On an RP related note, how in Celestia's name are our characters going to react to these monstrosities? I don't think even the comforting BOOM of Fixit's cannon will prevent him from turning tail and just running as far as possible when he sees those laughing dolls coming at him, with their spidery legs and spikes and sinister grins... *shivers*

Well I know how my character would react: she'd run away at top speed for, like, ten miles before stopping and being reminded of her mother who was turned into a smiling doll, at which point she would break down into tears.

Wow, that sound more harsh than I'd meant, and downright depressing. Sorry about that.
