Agreed. I've been on this forum for nearly eight years and I've seen it go through cycles of toxicity. This year is definitely one of the more toxic ones.  

I'm still wondering why do I keep coming here? I've pretty much lost interest in MLP and many members I like have already left. This is a question that's been in my mind for nearly two years. 

The way I see it this forum has become progressively more and more toxic in the last 4 or 5 years, between certain mods/even admins abusing authority (not only normally with no repercussions, but sometimes even with the support of others here) and people who seem to go out of their way to be insufferable and abuse the frankly usually biased enforcement of policy, and it's started to reach the point where I barely go on anymore to do anything but check notifications and sometimes do a PM or two. Heck I haven't even watched MLP at all since Season 9 was still airing. 

The thing is at the moment I still have a need for community that's filled better here than it has been elsewhere for the most part. Reddit sucks, most Discords seem to be not great, and the main games I play seem to have communities more interested in bickering than much else. I've found a few communities that I go in more often than here now, but most of them are very specific and very small in scope...
