      I try to avoid it. 

      It's a bit hypocritical to buy a bunch of stuff less than a day after you were being thankful for what you got. So I keep it to essentials. Getting food. Maybe getting things that need replacing. But a bunch of frivolities for myself? Gifts for others? Those can wait.
