  1. SCS's post in Equestria Girls subforum rediscription was marked as the answer
Thanks for pointing this out I'll fix it now.

Edit: I've changed it to this:

I feel this clarifies things best.
  2. SCS's post in How long should one expect to wait for a new fan club thread to be approved? was marked as the answer
If your Fan Club hasn't been approved after 48 hours and it wasn't rejected, feel free to PM a mod about it.
  3. SCS's post in Posting question. was marked as the answer
If the former is pony-related, you can post it in Pony Merchandise. If not, you can post it in General Discussion.

The latter can go in Pony Merchandise.
  4. SCS's post in Does anybody have pics of the forum throughout its history? was marked as the answer
    https://web.archive.org/web/20120501000000*/http://mlpforums.com/

You can use that to view old archived pages from MLPF from many previous dates, all the way from 2011 to present day.
  5. SCS's post in Problem with my notifications? was marked as the answer
    http://mlpforums.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notificationlog

Try clicking mark all read down at the very bottom. If that doesn't work, check the very top box (to the far right of "Saved Notifications") and then try clicking that button.
  6. SCS's post in cover art bug was marked as the answer
Have you tried clearing your cache? Would be worth a try. If that doesn't fix anything, I'll investigate further.
  7. SCS's post in Images on the Signature was marked as the answer
I'm not sure why you're still experiencing this error, and this issue may require some investigation. In the meantime I've updated your signature for you.
  8. SCS's post in Support Ticket System not working was marked as the answer
I see what's going on: that link takes you to a topic that was merged into this one. Fixing now.

Edit: Fixed. The links on that interstitial page work properly now.
  9. SCS's post in My "About Me" is being stoopid was marked as the answer
Try clicking the lightswitch button to manually edit the BBCode until it appears normally.
  10. SCS's post in Double ads was marked as the answer
I'm glad that it's working now. Basically, what happened was that some new user groups had to be created as a part of the process for distributing permissions to Christmas donors, and we had forgotten to edit site advertisement settings accordingly for individuals that are now in those groups.

Note for admins: If this happens in the future, login to the ACP and navigate to ACP > Nexus > Promotion > Advertisements. Add relevant user groups to exempt group lists under advertisement settings for each advertisement in the active, pending, and inactive categories that already provide an exemption for members. Ignore advertisements that provide an exemption for guests only, administrators only, or no one.
  11. SCS's post in Can I chat with a person on my friends list? was marked as the answer
We won't create a group chat/chatroom feature for reasons stated in this post. However, whether or not a one-on-one chat feature would be implemented as a part of some other aspect of Poniverse that may or may not involve MLPF is more open for consideration.
  12. SCS's post in I get an error message was marked as the answer
Thank you, this actually is what's going on. I had forgotten about this restriction, but users are not allowed to create polls or vote in polls until they have at least 5 forum posts. This restriction is in place for security reasons.

Apparently this was never announced publicly. I will add an addendum to the new member announcement to make it easier for new members to be aware of this fact.

, I noticed that you were able to successfully vote in that poll so I will go ahead and lock this topic.
  13. SCS's post in How do I change Topic Prefix and Tags of Topics I have created? was marked as the answer
First, you should go to your topic and click the edit button on your original post. You should see it at the bottom of the post, like so:

Then, you should see an editor page similar to this:

You should be able to change the title and content of your post, as well as the prefix and tags.

If you go to that page and you aren't able to alter those things, please let me know.
  14. SCS's post in Reporting Yourself was marked as the answer
If someone had reported themselves I would be inclined to be more lenient, but that doesn't mean the individual wouldn't receive any moderation action. It largely depends on the severity of the offense and the context of the situation.

People will never get in trouble for using the report system unless they deliberately spam it or play with it in some way.

A self-made report might garner more leniency, but as I discussed earlier that mainly depends on the severity of the offense.

There are some situations in which it's useful to report yourself, so I'm glad the feature exists. For example, you might have accidentally posted a duplicate thread, or posted a thread in the wrong section. Reporting it would make it easier for the staff to see it and deal with it accordingly.

Reports are not anonymous, but we never reveal who reported what to non-staff.
  15. SCS's post in How to delete account? was marked as the answer
There is no way to delete your account, and the administration team is not willing to do it upon request. That's completely fine if you don't like it here anymore, but there's no need to delete your account because of that. If you don't want to use this site, just don't login.

That being said, I'm willing to hide or delete specific content of yours, but I'd consider that on a case-by-case basis. If you're interested in that, PM me, as that would be best discussed in private.
  16. SCS's post in Would Making a Gallery of Art Requests Made by Others Violate the Rules? was marked as the answer
This would violate the rules of Octavia's Hall if you posted it there. Artwork posted there must be created by the topic starter, as explained in its guide.

I'd recommend making this a blog post, unless you can find a relevant topic outside of Octavia's Hall to post the list in as a reply. Due to the personal nature of the topic as well as the fact that there wouldn't be much room for discussion I don't think it'd fit well as a topic.

In regard to crediting the artists, doing so is recommended but not required as long as you are not claiming anyone else's artwork as your own.
  17. SCS's post in Bug regarding Name Changes was marked as the answer
I just checked the settings for subscribers, and you guys should be getting 3 name changes every 15 days.

@Lightwing, , or anyone else: are you still experiencing this issue?

I'll do more investigation into various settings involving the store, payment processing, subscriptions, and so on to make sure there's not something going awry in the processes behind all of this. If I can't figure it out myself I'll notify Poniverse IT.

In the meantime, I'll be more than happy to do manual display name changes for anyone who isn't able to change their display name as a result of this issue.
  18. SCS's post in another question was marked as the answer
Moderators, administrators, and other staff are people just like everyone else. You're welcome to be friends with whoever you want to be friends with.
  19. SCS's post in Questions! was marked as the answer
Logging into your account on another computer is perfectly acceptable. However, we don't allow creating duplicate accounts, as explained in the Global Rules and expounded upon in this FAQ article.
  20. SCS's post in Some elaboration on signature rules was marked as the answer
Animated gifs are allowed as long as they do not flash too brightly or rapidly, or otherwise cause any manner of substantial visual disturbance.
  21. SCS's post in How to find the debate section? was marked as the answer
The Debate Pit is a subsection of General Discussion. Therefore, you can only access it by clicking it under the "Subforums" list in the General Discussion section.

Please note that you must have at least 40 posts to access the Debate Pit.
  22. SCS's post in Question involving the "Threads I Have Participated In" Section was marked as the answer
Sorry, but this is not currently possible. If you would like functionality for this to be added, please post a topic about it in Feedback & Suggestions.
  23. SCS's post in Ex-Staff small issue was marked as the answer
The user group Ex-Staff: Eternal Champion was set to be hidden from the member list. I changed that setting, so this issue is resolved now.

    Thanks for pointing it out.
  24. SCS's post in I lost some of my topics! Help! was marked as the answer
No. This how you view them:
    Go to your profile
Click "Find content." It's to the right under your status update.
On the left, under "See this member's" click "only topics." You should now be at this page, which is a list of all of your forum topics.
  25. SCS's post in I have lost my post was marked as the answer
I'll send you a PM about this.
