  1. @Samurai Equine

While uneventful, the walk to the store was quite enjoyable. Everypony here seemed friendly, and the overall atmosphere of the town was very calm. They soon reach their destination, which looked more like a mall than a single store. Silver surveys the scene while listening to Gotaro’s question.

“Well, I really don’t need supplies for carpentry, and Samurai took care of art supplies for me earlier in my visit. So, I suppose something to assist me in my adventuring is the only option left.”

Silver turned his head towards Samurai with a curious expression. “Oh? What did you have in mind, my friend?” He asks.

  2. @Samurai Equine

Silver smiles back at Samurai. “Ah, yes, well I never considered myself that great of an artist, that was always my sister’s thing. But I appreciate your kind words, my friend. I do a bit of art every now and then, this is true. And Gotaro, you don’t have to get me anything, but a memento of this place would be a great thing for me to take back and show my friends and family back at home. One of the reasons I adventure so much is I’m trying to educate my village about the outside world. None of them are really interested in exploring like I am, so I try to bring some of world to them, instead.” He explains.

  3. @Samurai Equine

Silver thinks for a moment before responding. “Technically I am a carpenter by trade. It’s an ok living, but I mostly enjoy adventuring. Exploring. Seeing the world and all it has to offer. That’s how I ended up in Japone in the first place. I also enjoy helping my friends and family, those who I value highest in my life. I prefer to keep busy, so the rather laidback lifestyle in my village gets to me after a while. I need to get out, have a change of scenery, and just do different stuff. I like variety."

Silver is glad and somewhat relieved that the other kirin wish to work together. He takes note of the unique way that River communicates and notes that the other kirin, Emerald, is a bit quiet but seems kind and sincere.

“Yes, it’s nice to meet you both as well! I’m glad you wish to stick together; I feel it’s the best chance we have at dealing with whatever challenges we may face.”

Silver then turns his attention to Mirage. “Ah, well I believe we are headed to the kirin village. I am, at any rate. The others are welcome to join me, of course. I think it would be best for us to check on the rest of our kind and make sure everything is ok. I know nothing about this ancient artifact nor the effects it may have had on the world around it.” The gray kirin sounds a bit unsure of himself, but he feels that he's trying to do the best he can given the situation.

“You… did?” Silver asks, a bit confused. “Well, ok then. And thanks, I guess? I can’t say anypony’s ever said that to me before, especially after I just met them. But don’t worry, it’s ok.” He smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, Mirage. That sounds like a nice name. Are you also joining a team?”

“A kirin is a creature which is part dragon, part unicorn, and part deer.” Silver explained to the dark pony as they tentatively approached. “My name's Silver, who might you be?” He asked pleasantly. “I’m meeting all sorts of new ponies today it would seem.”

Silver gave a silent nod that said ‘You’re welcome’ in response to the pegasus. It seemed there were a number of ponies seeking her attention, so perhaps, as he had said, their paths might cross later. He had a quick look around to see if anypony else had shown up and noticed two other kirin had now appeared.

“Oh, by the way, my name is Silver. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He says with a smile. “I should probably check on those two kirin now. See you!”

    @River wisp@ReverieRiver

“Hey there!” Silver calls out as he trots over to the kirin. “Did you both just arrive here, too? My name’s Silver! I was just looking around for other kirin. I don’t know what’s happening here, but I feel like we’d be better off facing this together. What do you both think?”

“Oh, there’s no need to apologize, Gotaro.” Silver smiles. “To be honest, I’ve been a part of a number of intense encounters since arriving in Japone. We did also deal with running into Snow Leopard earlier, so I think having a nice time to relax is warranted. We can check out this onsen if you wish, I also think it’d be interesting to watch you two train. Perhaps there could be something that you could teach me, as well.”

  9. @Samurai Equine

Silver listens quietly as he continues to enjoy his food. It sounds like they’ll be headed to a snowy region next, which he wasn’t a total stranger to, but most snowy regions in Equestria were rather inhospitable. Therefore, he hasn’t exactly spent a lot of time in said places. Either way, he was definitely down for more adventure, wherever it may be.

“You’re very welcome, Gotaro.” He says with a smile. “I always try to do my best to help my friends, and those who my friends hold in high regard. Though I must ask, what’s a ‘onsen’? I’ve never heard of that before.”

Silver came running over upon hearing the commotion and finds several ponies all gathered around an unknown ancient artifact. He has no idea who most of them are, but the purple alicorn seems to wield a great amount of power. He felt it would be wise to follow her instructions and nearly heads off before he notices a pink pegasus had addressed him along with a few others. He didn’t recognize the mare but gave her a friendly smile to let her know that she’d been noticed.

“Very well, then.” He replies before she takes off herself. “I shall head to the kirin village, no doubt my kind will need support, as well. Perhaps our paths will cross sometime in the near future. Until then, best of luck to you and the rest of your team.” He says kindly.

Silver follows his friends as they lead him to where they were headed next. Another train ride brings them to a city this time. However, unlike the city they spent time in with Ryugane, this one is quite quaint and bright. The restaurant is at the top of a tower, which offers great views of the surrounding area. Inside, Silver feels a tiny bit out of place considering how ornate the place is. But these thoughts are soon forgotten once the food arrives, both the variety and number of dishes taking the kirin by surprise. It takes him a moment, but he eventually decides on some pasta with alfredo sauce.

“Yes, we did.” Silver responds to Gotaro in between bites. “Partially because of the strange dream I told you about, and also so I could simply see more of Japone. I think Samurai also mentioned something about wanting to practice or train with you, if I remember correctly.”

  12. @Samurai Equine

They make their way back to the lab, surveying for damage as they go along. Thankfully, the repairs will be minimal, and nopony was hurt. Silver waits as they perform the DNA infusion, anxious but also excited to see the results. Not much happens at first, which is… unusual. Gotaro also seems to pick up on this and orders the cage to be opened. They follow the t-rex out as he surveys his new surroundings, and Silver is pleasantly surprised when the dinosaur happily lowers its head and licks Gotaro in a show of his approval.

“Well that sure changed things for you, didn’t it, big guy?” Silver says to the t-rex. “It makes me happy to see you at peace with yourself.

He turns to Gotaro. “I’m curious as to what your plans will be for this creature now.”

  13. @Samurai Equine

“Well, as much as I’d like to go have a meal, I would like to see this dinosaur find its peace.” He decided. “In a way, I feel partially responsible for him since I allowed his voice to be heard. This scale, if it indeed lets him be happy again, then I feel like I’ve accomplished something here. So yes, let us go see what comes of this!” He said excitedly.

  14. @Samurai Equine

Silver chuckles a bit at Samurai’s comment. “Yes, I hope so too, my friend. And Gotaro, yes, it most certainly is. Samurai figured out how to break the dragon out of his hypnosis and we worked together to execute the plan. He wasn’t hostile towards us in any way once he came out of his trance. Then, Samurai simply asked the dragon to part with one of his scales before he took off.”

  15. You're doing an amazing job, bestie! Keep up the good work! :kirin: Can't wait to see what you have planned for the forums. Personally, I'm happy to see the debate pit gone. All it was doing was causing pain and creating dissension, things nobody wants here.

The cold wind blew through Silver’s grey coat as he stepped outside, having just purchased some supplies for the road ahead. Ever the adventurer, the daring kirin had just finished a climbing expedition through Ghastly Gorge, and then proceeded to trek through the Everfree Forest before stopping quickly in Ponyville before heading to the next place of interest. However, the weather seemed to have different plans in mind, a torrential downpour having started mere minutes ago. Now he was on the lookout for some place to temporarily hold up, as he hurriedly went off in a random direction, keeping his emerald green eyes on alert for anyplace he could use for shelter.

A few minutes of galloping later brought him to a forested area just outside of town. Here, it didn’t appear that anypony frequented the area. Silver took note of the overgrown pathways and tall weeds as he took a moment to dry off under one of the larger trees he found nearby. The forest may provide some relief from the rain, but the wind still howled through the trees dreadfully. He took off once more, hoping to find some sort of abandoned cabin he could weather the storm out in. As if on cue, Silver spotted such a place coming up on his left and made a beeline for the front door. He cautiously looked around for any signs of somepony having been around recently and found nothing. Just to be safe, he knocked on the door a few times before entering, finding the door to be unlocked.

He slowly walked through the cottage, still being alert of anycreature that could have decided to make this place their new home. But the only noises he heard were his own hoofsteps, and the quiet pattering of rain on the roof. Being a kirin, the darkness of the house posed no real issue, as he easily produced a small flame that adequately lit up his surroundings. The place had clearly been abandoned by the owner, judging by the complete lack of furniture, food, and the amount of dust that accumulated on the mantle of the great fireplace that occupied the middle of the cottage’s only room. A few small logs that had been left inside allowed the kirin to get a fire going and at the very least, warm himself up. Yes, this would do quite nicely until the storm moved on.

  17. @Samurai Equine

Silver nods in agreement with Samurai’s decision to let the dragon go. He bids the dragon farewell before racing off to check on Gotaro with his friend. Thankfully, they arrive to find Gotaro is well as Snow Leopard makes his exit.

“That’s what all the villains say.” Silver remarks as Snow Leopard disappears into a frozen mist. “We’re ok, Gotaro. I was more worried about you, honestly. I hated leaving you alone with Snow Leopard. I dunno about you guys, but I felt like that battle was won by a lot more than just ‘luck’. I think we sent a pretty strong message to Snow Leopard.”

  18. @Samurai Equine

Silver is overjoyed to see that his attack worked, and the dragon soon comes back to reality.

“You had a nasty, evil creature named Snow Leopard find you and use dark magic to hypnotize you and do his bidding.” Silver explained. “Speaking of which, Samurai, we need to go back and help Gotaro out!” He says in an urgent tone.

  19. @Samurai Equine

Silver’s eyes go wide when he sees Samurai go crashing down to the ground but is relieved when he gets back up, and it appears that he’s ok. Now his friend has a plan to take down the dragon, but he needs Silver’s help to do it. The kirin notices the mark that Samurai points out and charges the dragon at full speed. He launches himself at the dragon’s talon and hits it as hard as he possibly can. Hopefully this will be enough to break it.

  20. @Samurai Equine

Silver gives a quick, understanding nod. He doesn’t want to leave Gotaro, but there’s not a whole lot the kirin can do against Snow Leopard. His friends, trained warriors, were struggling to hold him back, a confrontation would only end badly for Silver. He takes his leave and darts off towards Samurai, unsure of how he might be able to help deal with either foe at this point.

He stops dead in his tracks when he sees the dragon attacking Samurai with his fire breath, but it seems that his friend is absorbing the flames somehow. He positions himself in such a way that Samurai can see he’d joined him but remains unnoticeable to the dragon.

  21. @Samurai Equine

“Oh, a dragon.” Silver comments. “Isn’t that nice of Snow Leopard to do the hard work and bring one to us so we don’t have to hunt it down ourselves?” He says to nopony in particular. Silver is, understandably, a bit frightened by the dragon, but hearing Gotaro and Samurai’s confidence helps him feel a bit better. Snow Leopard reveals that the dragon was here to free the dinosaur Gotaro had caged up in his laboratory and sends it on its way to do so. Samurai is able to grab ahold of it before it takes off, leaving Silver and Gotaro to deal with the remaining Shinobi. It was unclear at this point if Snow Leopard would attempt to fight them or pursue Samurai and the dragon.
