Is there any brony clan to join? Feel free to ask for couple games (name is YoshiFire). I have 2 Tier VII's tiger and jagdpanther. I'm stick in german tech tree.
There's five that I know of. PONYZ, IGP24, CMCAW, WOONA, and EDF. There are also a few various other clan but they don't have many members. Nice to meet some bronies with high tier stuff...there don't seem to be many out there.
-
Oh good, finally someone that's newer to the random than me.
Welcome aboard fellow Canadian brony! I'm from the St. Catharines area, don't live there anymore though.

It's more of Flash being a failure at life than anything, really. There are many videos online that solely show all the animation errors in FiM, there's more of them than you'd think. Plus it really doesn't affect your viewing experience much.

Welcome aboard, DarkParu! Glad you decided to join the community here, you've certainly come to the right place if you want to make friends, discuss the show, and bask in the glorious fan creations.
If you need any help at all feel free to shoot a message my way! Hope you have a great time here!

"Well it doesn't look like I've got much of choice, do I?" Nova laughed as he followed Lyra into the restaurant and took a seat at a small table. He opened up the menu and had a look at the food choices. He didn't even recognize half of the items listed! "Umm...I'm gonna have to ask you for a bit of help with that. I haven't the slightest idea what to pick. I don't think I've heard of half the stuff on here! What would you recommend?"
-
As they approached Lyra's house, Nova replied "That's a great idea, I wouldn't mind going to a restaurant at all! I had always wanted to go to one back on Earth...but I think you know why. Anyway, I don't know about you, but I'm starving, let's go eat! I'm not really in much of a mood for sleeping anyhow."
-
Skillet eh? You got my eyes and ears open now. I saw them play live at Winter Jam and they rocked the house. Skillet, Red
Yea I stopped reading about there...you do have a pretty awesome taste in music.
Anyway...Skillet (the band who's existence is still album by album...) is alright. I have a few of their songs. I'm more of a fan of their older stuff.

I would highly recommend building your own tower, even if you don't know how to assemble it, then get someone to do it for you. The one I have now I built myself, picked out everything for it and saved a bit of money in doing so. Even if you don't try to be economical and go all out, you still get control over what goes into it, and then you don't have to deal with proprietary connections/parts and don't have to waste time removing all the junk that typically comes with a manufactured system. Before I bought what I have now, I used to have a Dell XPS 710. It was a fine system, but there were a number of propriety components that could only be bought from Dell, and of course they didn't even sell some of them anymore. How useless.
As for all-in-ones, I wouldn't bother. Again the issue of not being able to upgrade components on it and them just generally not being the greatest performance-wise is why I stay away from them. Having a touch screen isn't that important IMO.

"It was not." Nova pouted. "Rainbow Dash, eh? With a name like that no wonder she's a great flyer. Sure will be interesting to meet all these ponies. So, do you live in Ponyville too? We gonna be at your house soon?" Just then, Nova's stomach started growling loudly. He looked at Lyra sheepishly and asked "Ah ha ha...umm...yea...I guess I didn't think about getting something to eat. This might seem like a bit of a weird question, but what kind of stuff do you ponies eat, exactly?"

I've been playing WoT since mid April 2011. I run tiers 2 and 4 to 9. My name there is D40LF, feel free to add me, always looking to platoon with someone.
I've been told that I'm a pretty good arty guy so I guess I do alright with them. I should look into getting some of those pony mods, they look pretty cool. My best game got me 9 kills...I'll see if I still have screenshots somewhere...most likely not.

"Well, ponies just don't believe in humans. They all say that they're all long gone or never existed at all. So if you tell them you're human, well... They'll treat you in any of those three ways that I mentioned earlier..." Lyra's eyes widened as she thought of something.
"Wait... Maybe she wasn't playing a prank on me..." she mumbled to herself, barely audible.
"Okay. I have an idea. There's somepony I know who might believe us. She may be able to help you get settled in Ponyville. If you'd like to stay in Ponyville, that is. She also has two Pegasus friends who would probably be able to help you fly. I'd go to talk to her now, but it's late and she's probably already closed up the library. We'll find her in the morning. Lets just go to my place for now."
Lyra motioned for him to follow and started to trot away, but turned back to him.
"Er, I probably should have asked earlier. Are you able to walk on all four hooves? I know humans are bipedal, so it'd probably feel weird."
"But I'm not human anymore..." Nova sighed. "Whatever. Yes, if you know someone else that isn't going to totally freak out, I wouldn't mind talking to them too." Nova looked up at the sky, and noticed the sun was about to go down. "Yea, it is getting kinda late, we should probably go." As Lyra was asking he was ok to walk, he took his first few steps forward and fell flat on his face. "Well...that was awkward." His face turned a bit red as he stood up again. "Well I was a really good runner on Earth, so once I get used to having extra legs I think I'll be fine. Are either of the pegasi that your friend knows good at flying? I don't want some second-rate flyer teaching me, ya know." He said jokingly.

Well nopony saw this one coming, but I'll be a transit bus mechanic at either BC or Calgary Transit.
I'll be making the least amount of money compared any other CT mechanic, but I'll be the happiest. Still, at what, over 5k a month + benefits/pension once I have my Red Seal, not too shabby me thinks. Wages are only gonna go up anyway! Hope to have bought this old bus off of TRU when they decide to auction it, got my own place of course, don't really care if I'm married or not. Maybe I'll have bought an Evo by then too. But since when does life go as planned anyway?

My dream partner would be Rainbow Dash!!!11!1 [/sarcasm]
Yea...no. Well sort of, actually. (Yay for contradicting myself) I'm not all too hung up and looks and all that (not saying that it wouldn't hurt or anything
), I need someone that I can share my life with. Someone that can help make me a better person, and vice versa. I love RD's personality and her quirks, so someone who shares those similar qualities would be a HUGE draw for me. She's loads of fun, and I'm no fun at all. So she'd 'complete' me. (Brohoof to anypony who gets the reference)
After that any hobbies that we share would obviously help. But I'm perfectly content with staying single for the rest of my life, don't need a girl to give my life purpose. And I don't mean alone, just not married or in a 'serious' relationship. Much like a certain rainbow-maned pony...
But also like her (At least that what my headcanon tells me anyway...), I could probably be swayed if the right person comes along.
BTW, wrote this at 3 AM, sorry if it doesn't make perfect cohesive sense

"Oh, it's fine. I have a friend and neighbor named Bon-Bon who I'll have to figure out how to explain the situation to, but there's an extra room at my place, and besides, I'd love to hear more about your world, so you're free to stay there. " Lyra said. She listened to his next question and thought about how to answer.
"Hah, about that. I'm really the only pony who believes in humans... Everypony else thinks I'm crazy. I wasn't specifically reading about soldiers, I was reading about you humans. I found all the books I could on mythology. There was a brief topic explaining human soldiers. My knowledge of your world is unfortunately limited. Anyway, other ponies probably won't believe you. Or they will and won't know how to act. Or they'll think I put you up to this so they won't think I'm crazy."
"Well if it's not going to be too much trouble...then I'd be very appreciative to have somewhere to sleep and such, and I certainly don't mind talking to you more about Earth if that's what you want to know about." Nova smiled and, when Lyra had answered his question, replied "Why is it such a big deal that I used to be human? I mean, I'm not human anymore; I'm a pony just like the rest of you. I don't feel that you or I should be treated any differently because of it. The only way that I'm different from any other pegasus in this world is that I can't fly. But I'm sure that'll come in time. Speaking of flying, do you know anyone in Ponyville that might be able to give me some help with learning how to fly?"
-
Lyra stared at the pony, golden-yellow eyes wide, a grin spreading on her face with every word he spoke. She beamed at him when he said he was a human. She snapped out of it when he stopped talking.
"Nova Flyer? Cool name, but I thought humans had weird names like Griffons do... Anyway, no, Ponyville is only a village. We're in Equestria, and there are all kinds of animals here too, as well as Timberwolves, Dragons, Griffons, Phoenixes, Cockatrices, Manticores, and lots of other monsters. No, there isn't war here. Mostly everypony is friendly, and we're an Eglitarian society and treat outsiders with the same respect as we treat other ponies, so there's not much reason for war here. Not since Princess Celestia nd Princess Luna came to power over a thousand years ago. I don't think your past will be much of a problem as long as you're not like soldiers I've read about. "
She stopped rambling there. The wide, ecstatic grin was back on her face, and she realized she had been babbling excitedly for the past ten minutes. She let out a nervous laugh and looked at him sheepishly.
"Heh, sorry. This is probably a lot to take in. Anyway, it's nice to meet you. Do you need a place to stay?"
"Oh don't worry it's quite alright, I welcome the knowledge. Well I hadn't though about it much...but I guess I'll need someplace to stay. You don't need to worry about me or anything though...I don't want to impose. You've been nice enough to me as it is and you don't even know me. I'm happy to hear that there's no wars going on here and that your leaders seem to have everything under control. That is so unlike Earth. I am the furthest thing from a soldier, more like a refugee if anything. I've spent the last seven years or so running. Haven't been able to stay in the same place for more than a day, in fear of being spotted. I look forward to being able to take it a bit easier here." Nova was thoughtful for a few moments, and then asked "By the way, what sort of pony reads about soldiers? I expected to be a bit of an alien here but you act as if you have humans who turned into pones living next door to you and this is a completely normal occurrence. Just wasn't expecting you to know so much about us is all I mean by that."

I literally bought this game solely because I wanted to watch Mr. Bones Wild Ride in real time.
Some peop le have aquariums, some people have these things. I have a computer monitor displaying Mr. Bones Wild Ride in real time. Or Conway's Game of Life.
I was wondering how long it was going to be before someone brought up Mr. Bones Wild Ride, lol. Good old internet...the ride that never ends...

I have the "gold edition" of RCT1, got RCT2 out of a cereal box, and bought RCT3 when it came out years ago. I really loved the sandbox in RCT3. As for what I made, I really have no idea. It's been a while. I'll see if I can dig up any old screenshots.

"You... Weren't a Pegasus before? But you were a pony, right?" Lyra asked, part confused, part suspicious, and part hopeful.
'Don't get your hopes up, Lyra, it's probably somepony playing a prank on you... But, how would he know me? Well... There are tons of logical explanations. And besides, even if its not a prank, it's probably just some delusional. Yeah. Or he was a unicorn and a spell failed and he's delirious or something.'
Lyra kept thinking of possible explanations for what he said, but was broken out of her reverie by the stallion's voice.
"Oh, my name? I'm Lyra Heartstrings. You're in a little park in Ponyville. Do you know how you got here? Where are you from?"
By now Nova has gained back full attentiveness and sounded less like he had gone insane and more like a pegasus should.
"Nope, I wasn't a pegasus, or any other sort of pony at all, for that matter."
Nova stood up, and extended a hoof to Lyra.
"Nice to meet you, Lyra. My name's Nova Flyer. I have no idea what or where Ponyville is, but I can promise you that it's nowhere near where I'm from. I'm from a completely different planet altogether, called 'Earth'. On Earth, the last memory I have is waking up in a room with several others, and then all of us were executed by the leader of an enemy race. Then I woke up here, in a field, right where you found me. War is such a terrible thing. I never wanted any part in it, you know. But I was born into it, and after my parents were killed in front of me, I had no choice but to fight back. I'm no sap by any means, I think I put up a pretty good fight while it lasted. But seriously, just look at me, I'm not war material."
Then Nova's tone changed, and a huge smile started to form on his face. "But that's why I'm so happy to be here! Is that the name of your planet, Ponyville? I sure hope there's no wars going on here, this place looks far too serene for something as ugly as that. Is it just ponies that live here, or are there other species? We have all sorts of different animals on Earth, that more or less coincided with us. But we, the humans, were considered the 'master race' on Earth. I hope that my past won't cause too much of a problem here...I like to think that I'm a pretty nice guy....erm...stallion I mean!"

My passions in life are roller coasters and Music. (the second one might sound really cliche, but hang on.)
Ever since I turned 6 I've been obsessed with Roller coasters. I don't know what it is about them, maybe it's the speed, or the height, or the crazy twists and turns all focused around one simple force. What really got me into roller coasters was a picture of Son of Beast at Kings Island. That image is still in my mind. Even before I rode any roller coasters I had been interested in them. I took it upon myself to learn all the facts about all the roller coasters in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan, and to learn more about the manufactures as well. I can now tell you any fact about any coaster in Ohio and Indiana. I can also tell you the history of Roller coasters. I started really riding coasters in 2003. I was so freaked out by my first I took a hiatus from riding anymore until 2009. Throughout that time though, I read all the books in my schools library on Roller coasters and watched countless documentaries on the history of certain theme parks and on roller coasters in general. Around 2001 I got the first Roller coaster tycoon game. I stayed up countless nights to work on creating parks and roller coasters. I got the other two games when they came out. I then moved on to other software, such as NO Limits. Which is still a very highly used software on my computer.
That's really cool, I used to play RCT 1, 2, and 3 for hours on end too.
I've never even heard of No Limits before...is it better than RCT?

I am super obsessed with transit buses. I prefer ones made by New Flyer, and of those, I like the ones from the 90s, the older the better. I know way too much about them for being a regular civilian.
I literally have gone on for a couple hours with the maintenance manager local BC Transit garage here talking about buses when I went to get my practicum set up. Needless to say, they were happy to let me come be free labour for a few weeks. However I'm slowly learning to shut up about it since no one gives a crap about it and generally gets me laughed at. I don't know how or why this all started, but what I do know is that when I started HD/CT mechanics, one of the first things I noticed was a 1991 NFI D40 off in a corner in the yard. I've had experience working on all sorts of vehicles, from excavators and skidsteers, to dump and tractor trucks. But after all that, the bus is still my favourite. So much so that I'm going to make a career out of it, hence my member title. Even my sig is a replica of an old bus destination sign. Here, have a look, these are all my photos that I took at school: http://rotw.ca/images/bus_photos
That's a really cool job that you got there.
I used to be interested in meteorology when I was younger but for whatever reason that interest isn't there anymore.

Age/Gender: 20/Male
Fandoms: Nothing besides MLP anymore, huge Rainbow Dash fan if you haven't noticed already
Hobbies: Hiking, (mountain) biking, skiing, bowling, laser tag, web development, PC gaming
Favourite genres of music/artists: Rock and metal, particularly hard rock, nu, and rap metal. Some of my favourite artists are TFK, Red, Disturbed, and Lacuna Coil. Oh, and dat MLP brostep stuff. I like other stuff too...it's just all over the place...
Other random stuff about me: I like writing fanfics and participating in RPs, I have a huge (and somewhat weird) obsession with transit buses, self-diagnosed OCD and ADD sometimes, love watching YTPs, and am currently in university for heavy duty and commercial transport mechanics.
15, female (I'm not always sure about the latter
)
I'm not sure what my current favorite fandom is...
A have a lot of hobbies: drawing, writing (stories and song lyrics), gaming (I both play and make games), and I sometimes do craft stuff (though I don't get to it that often).
I love rock music! (I also like dubstep)
I'm very much a nerd!
I seem to have two personalities, though...one is nerdy, cheerful, funny, random, all that stuff.
My other side is...kind of emo/gothic, I think. When it comes to the arts--whether it's writing, drawing, or gaming--I love the dark side as much as the funny side. I like dark, disturbing, and even kind of sadistic stuff.
I'm a strange, strange, mare...
I'm also not very feminine--in fact, if I do anything "girly", I feel awkward (which is why I sometimes question if I'm a girl
)
I hope there are other odd people like me!
(I'm also a Christian, but I view it as a special relationship instead of a list of rules--though that's probably a bit obvious from the fact that I get into all that dark stuff
)
EDIT: Oh, I'm also addicted to YTPs!)
You! Why don't I know you yet?
Rest assured there are other odd people out there like you. :3

Yes but that's not the point, the point is that is just should work, period. No workarounds necessary. Honestly I don't have any time to devote to this anyway, this is getting way out of hand, that's why I left coding years ago in the first place. I really appreciate all the help but it's just not worth it. Doesn't sounds like there's much left to try anyway. If I really want a rotating sig I'll just make a gif I guess...

Can you provide a link to the script in question? Seeing what exactly it is you're working with could very well be helpful, I think.
Well the script in question is here: http://rotw.ca/images/avatars/random.txt
Which fetches a random jpg, png, or gif image. (Just changed file type to .txt so you could read it)
-
If you use an Apache web server you can sidestep this by using something like this as your image URL: http://whatever.com/stuff/script.php/fakefilename.png
Basically, take the URL of your script (http://whatever.com/stuff/script.php) and add a slash and a filename that the forum will accept behind it. When Apache tries to load the non-existent image it will for whatever reason load the PHP file in its place.
I'm probably doing a poor job of explaining this, but you can use the rotating portion of my signature as a proof of concept and working example.
Now that's a brilliant idea. I tried it but now it says it can't determine the image dimensions. :/
World of Tanks
in Media Discussion
I don't. The reason why people get that way at tier 8 and above, and maybe why there aren't many bronies at that tier level, is because it's so much harder to many any money at tier 8 and up. It takes a lot of painful grinding up through the tech tree to get to these tanks too.
Well I guess there's more MLP clans than I though. They nerfed the arty shell speed and that really messes up my calculations, which is a large part of being an arty player.
