I'd change it to Rainbow Dash, duh! Then my name would be 20% cooler. Seriously though, I'm quite happy with all of my names. Now what I do wish I could change, is everyone shortening my first name. I don't like it. But it's more common shortened so I have to explain to everyone about how I don't like the short form.

I think the only way you could get me to leave the fandom is if a number of people really took a genuine hatred to my fanfiction and went out of their way to make me feel bad about my work. But given the overall nature of the MLP community, I don't see that happening anytime soon. As long as there's still fellow bronies to converse, share, and create with out there, I'm happy.

Ummm... Your character is from space? As in... The stars and things like that? As in... He lives in space? Ummm.... I'm sorry, but that wouldn't fit well with this RP. :3

 

He is from there, as in it is his home...however that being said I also mentioned on my OC page that he's visiting Equestria on a journey of self-discovery. You could just say that he's a complete stranger to all and leave it at that if you're not too keen on the whole space thing. I can understand if you don't think it'd be a good fit for your RP, at the end of the day it is yours after all.

Probably 30% brony, 30% bus mechanic/enthusiast/psycho, 20% fiction writer, 10% gamer, 5% computer nerd, and 5% miscellaneous other stuff in small amounts. 

For me it was really simple. I did a google search for something like "my little pony friendship is magic forums" and this board is the first thing that comes up. I was looking for someplace where I could meet with (somewhat) like-minded individuals and discuss...stuff. Oh, and also share my fanfiction writings too! If I ever get any of them finished, that it.

Yeah, it can be pretty math heavy, though depending on your career you can generally forget most of the math the instant you pass the relevant courses. At least, until you get into a higher level job and suddenly need to remember how to do algorithmic analysis or whatever.

My problem would be that I'd never be able to get by. I took pure math right to the last year of high school but then I started failing miserably so I took something else. I think at that point I started looking at other occupations. 

I almost went to school for web design. Almost. Was never much of a fan of computer science though, never had the brain or the maths for it either. I probably could pursue a career in web design if I wanted to. So instead I went with commercial transport mechanics, lol. >_<

Vehicles. Probably not as much for personal use as for transportation. But then I'd be able to usefully contribute something to Equestrian society. Then that'd automatically mean computers too.

Welcome aboard! Since you're no stranger to the fandom I'm sure you'll have a great time here! (I have to say that your choice in avatar is excellent!) I do have MW3 and CodBlops 2 for Xbox but I don't have much time to play 'em anymore, and I was never that great anyway.   /)

I only get 3-5 hours of sleep usually (I'm a real mess)...so I don't have these problem of not getting to sleep. Back when I had a normal sleeping schedule I'd usually try to expand my fanfics in my mind. That usually helped, because if I couldn't sleep then at least I felt like I was doing something useful.

Dashie, of course. I'm not the most creative pony in the world though... but I'd be happy doing pretty much anything as long as we're together. ^^

However, where I live there is a Curious Comics which will most likely have them.

If any stores around you sell pony merch, ask if they can order them in for you.

Sadly neither of the 'comic' stores around here sell MLP merch. I'd want to be able to see them first before I spend any money, so let's just wait and see for now.

Wow, these actually look really good. Price is alright too. I am so getting a Rainbow Dash one when they come out...wait a minute...do they ship to Canada? *goes and looks* Oh they do! $25 for shipping, you say? That's more than the plush is worth. Mreh. Yes and I don't know how. I put that together in 10 mins or so...usually takes me forever to write stuff...like stories and all that. It's good though, I should do stuff like this more often. Hopefully you come up with something cool too.

This is a really cool idea. Now then...

*what would it look like? Sparely populated village, most of the homes are large mansions, primarily of limestone and wood construction. Located in a scenic mountain valley, with a big blue-green lake in the middle.
*what would it be called? Gah. I can never figure out names...how about Exonia? Yea, that sounds good.
*what kind of ponies would live there? Any sort of pony is welcome! Pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies all inhabit Exonia. Pegasi live in houses carved out of the mountains or in the clouds.
*what would the culture be like? Friendly, hospitable, everypony shares their resources with each other and whatnot.
*what would it's flag/insignia be? I'm not much of an artsy pony, so I'm not sure. Something with mountains and ponies in it. Oh, and the flag background is cobalt blue! Maybe somewhat like the flag Alberta has. ^^
*what would its holidays/festivals be like? I think they would be like the standard set we see in MLP. A lot more snow to clear though.
*would there be any kind of traditional food/music/clothing? Ah, probably not. Maybe a few family recipes but nothing too extravagant.
*what would the folklore be like? Hmm...I'm gonna say that Rainbow Dash accidentally discovered this picturesque valley many years ago and built a 'vacation home' because she liked the views so much. The ponies that live there today are either direct descendants of Dashie or more commonly, close friends that were shown this amazing spot in Equestria.

This sounds like a good idea to me. You don't have to advertise it as "Noah's Ark" per se, but I don't see anything wrong with a story that's related to it. If you need any help at all feel free to fire a PM my way!

The worst thing that you can do with your life is sit in a corner and wallow in self-pity. Life's too short to be miserable. Sure, it's your choice, but hey, why have life master you when you can master life? Then it becomes beautiful. Everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

Yes, please post any of the stuff you've been working on, I'd love to hear it! Don't worry, this fandom isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I know of a couple obscure PC games from 10 years ago that still have a active fanbase, and at their most popular point had about a thousand fans. Think of how much bigger MLP is!

This is a pretty easy decision...I mean really...become a pegasus and hang out with Dashie for the rest of my life...or become someone's pet and possibly be eaten. The ponies, if no one else, would have compassion for a lost traveler. Or something like that.

Reminds me of why I don't have a console. One of my brothers has one but I think I play on it like once every other week...maybe. The whole thing is just a huge money grab. You have the console...and it's subscription....and then the games...with their own subscriptions...and then they release add-ons and other crap too. The whole console wars thing is just like selling shiny objects to magpies. You have the market until someone comes along with something shinier and then very few people care about you anymore. I'm glad I don't have one, because if I did then I'd probably be broke by now. As for me, I'm a PC gamer, and don't buy parasitical games that treat me like their newest host. :/

By the way, the article says $15 a month for those wondering.

Threads with hundreds or even thousands of posts have about the same appeal to me as an overcrowded bus: I'd rather wait for the next one. Maybe I'll get lucky and find those threads before they're meshed into the bigger ones. But such are the realities of a large forum. Can;t do much about it.
