Windows' file management capabilities are pretty lackluster. You can't pause a copy/transfer and resume from where you left off. Look up and install Teracopy. It replaces Windows' default file manager and gives you the ability to do stuff like that. It also copies much faster.

Well, the computer's looking already busy enough. Or is it just the slowness of USB, because it's obviously not doing much besides transferring files? I don't know.

Vissy, I'm using an external DVD-CD driver-writer. For the anecdote, we bought it for our desktop PC (before we switched to Mac) when its built-in CD driver stopped working.

Well, guess I don't need to ponder anymore.

I tried browsing the CD to see which files I actually wanted to save. But it froze on me, so I had to close the program.

The files were there, but I realized, there was only one per sub-file.

Apparently, instead of copying files one at a time from one folder to its duplicate, it was trying to do all the folders simultaneously.
