  1. Right. I’ll get the starter post to the ensuing conversation on the alt thread up today.
  2. Sounds good to me. All of it would be more or less canon anyway, at least on the villian side of things. The same would apply for if the two threads do eventually merge. Now that I think about it, it probably wouldn't make sense for Nanami to travel outside of Japan, given both her age and current lack of interest in events outside of Japan, not unless she goes dimension hopping via Robin's quirk for a quick means of travel.
  3. Sounds good to me. Depending on the time, Nanami might be there ensuring that things went smoothly, though she could also be handling administrative nonsense. As for recognizing him, she probably wouldn’t use the telepathy aspect of her quirk unless she was familiar with someone and trusted them to a specific degree, my hero character being perhaps the only example at the moment. She might be able to recognize him utilizing her quirk, if only because of the potential transfer of thoughts between the two of them, but she wouldn’t use it outright. That would reveal one of her major trump cards, and the act alone would probably be considered a major breach of privacy to most people. As for the tea shop, these two images probably give the closest depiction as to the overall layout of the customer area, if only a bit bigger to add another table or two, along with the required bathrooms. An employee will be manning the bar where customers can place their order while a second can deliver them to waiting customers. A third would probably work in the back kitchen making pastries and other light treats, though the tea would be made at one of the specific prep stations on the wall behind the bar.
  4. Either him or Ryu due to injuries provided by his quirk
  5. Should probably apply that to everyone in general. The last thing we need is for one of the students to get a concussion, even with Recovery Girl on hand. Neurons don't exactly have a reputation for quick healing.
  6. While she might have been provided a new place of residence, that did not mean Nanami could easily cut ties to any business she was conducting outside of the group she had joined. Returning to the teashop that had been her home for the past few years, the teen was pleased to see that everything had already been packed for the night, and few new recipes had been submitted for her approval. She really needed to give her employees a raise if they kept up this work ethic. Of course, she also had the luxury of not having to deal with any major competiton and having a good relationship with her neighbors, so that helped profits to some degree. After having a small dinner, the moth girl took the opportunity provided to go on a quick flight through the night sky, enjoying the peace and silence found at a few hundred meters. It wasn’t like anyone would see her anyway. While her daggers might not be on her person at the time, telepathy would certainly be an easy tool to utilize for an escape or self defense. Of course, she woudl eventually have to return, if only to get some sleep in order to prepare for whatever drama the next day might bring.
  7. Bit big for a first move, but I suppose we have to get our name out there somehow. Now I just have to figure out what to do with Nanami in the interim prior to their departure.
  8. Yeah, I think the whole number one hero bit in the anime only applies to Japan. Granted, there are heroes in other countries, so they probably have a similar system in place for ‘pro’-heroes. Speaking of which, going to Italy would be interesting, though the mafia there would probably be in the same spot of bad luck as Overhaul and his lot.
  9. Might want to see where the main rp goes first, but that could certainly be a possibility.
  10. Rorik gave a light nod in agreement as he took one last look at the map before him. “I’ll get my best ready in a two hours, three at the latest. If things go well, this might be the last time these animals use these mountains.” Hopefully, their initial encounter with the group hadn’t alaremed the slavers to their presence and a potential raid, but that could be dealt with when the time came. “Thank you again for your assistance.” Gale raised a brow in surprise at the zebra’s words and shook her head. While she was a bit wary of these ponies, the last thing they needed was a full scale conflict at the moment. “We should be fine at the moment, There was a slight misunderstanding, but everything was sorted out rather quickly.” A gentle smile then graced her lips as she focused on the first half of the provided message. “I hope that their travels are safe. There are more dangerous things than ponies inhabiting the wilderness and sea.”
  11. Aside from normal foot traffic, probably nothing of note at the tearoom. Nanami also set specific instructions for how the two to three people who work for her in regards to specific customers, so it wouldn’t be anything out of the ordinary if a few more were tacked onto the bottom of that list. Granted, it’s normally just her when everything’s closed down for the night, though I can see the staff attempting new products from time to time.
  12. Honestly, it’d make sense to have multiple hideouts across both the main city our villains are based in, and the rest of Japan if they continue to grow. That’s including the business Kriz owns and Nanami’s coffee shop, Dragon’s Brew Tearoom.
  13. Nice. Can’t wait to see what comes of that.
  14. Yeah, that’d cause all kinds of problems for everyone.
  15. Just going to leave this here for a reference as to what Nanami might be capable of in regards to her telepathy. I can already confirm that she will not go above the third level, and even then, that’ll be on a case by case basis. Of course, that’ll be built up as things progress, and things don’t spiral out of control. It also covers a few of the weaknesses I had in mind for that ability, so that helps. https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Telepathy
  16. Fair enough. Having him follow the bus via drone would also make more sense, considering UA is just a bit more visible to the general public, and if he were to show the video feed to the others, Nanami would be interested in the fact that Ryu is among the group of hero students as well, if only so that she has an easy way to interact with that group. Long story short, it’d certainly be possible and rather easy if the drones maintained a low profile and had enough of a battery life.
  17. I might have misinterpreted your post a bit, and that’s on me. I apologize if I came off as a bit aggressive on that front. I honestly thought you meant something else entirely. As for Nanami, I suppose it would be a bit unfair if she could do that right off the bat. I’ll just leave it as a means of communication.
  18. @Goat-kun Yeah, no. I get that he can basically pull just about anything out if a magic hat without any drawbacks, over powered as that is already, but having Robin know where the heroes are without being given any information in the rp and nuking the area they’ll be in is just bad writing. I was honestly tempted to say something about him having a naval cannon, but I let it slide so long as he only had one, maybe two of them. That’s also assuming that technology has even advanced that far in the BNHA universe, as quirks caused technology to stagnate to the point where humanity haven’t even gone into space. They do have some rocket technology, that much is certain, but there’s no telling if there ever was a Manhattan project or its USSR equivalent due to a potentially different outcome in WWII in this universe. He might be able to pull weapons out of of the ether, but he can’t make them. Besides, it would probably be better for his health if he didn’t. Nanami would give him the slowest, most painful death possible if she found out he killed Ryu, and telepathy is both faster than a bullet and impossible to predict.
  19. Nanami raised a brow at the revelation that the vampire of the group had set out living arrangements for those within the room, though the equipment provided would certainly make communication easier, at least over a considerable distance. Her telepathy probably would've been just as effective at short range, though there were a few drawbacks associated with that aspect of her quirk. That method of communication might also be impossible with the good doctor, though she wasn't about to risk attempting that just yet. "I look forward to working with all of you. Here's to a better future." After retrieving the id badge and pieces of technology provided, the youngest member of the group walked out of the room and towards her new area of residence, a gentle smile gracing her lips as she glanced out a window and past the city outside. Plans and contingencies for the future were running wild in her head, though only a specific set of actions would provide the outcome she desired. For now, however, all she could do was wait and see how the chips fell. "I hope I get to see you again one day, my knight."
  20. Yeah. If Ryu can gain at least on of the two major upgrades I have planned for him by the end of the training camp, that'd be a win in my book. Granted, it'd probably be during the back end of the training camp.
  21. Good to know. Honestly can’t wait to see what sort of shenanigans the villains get themselves into.
  22. Yeah, I can see that too. I'm not as familiar with the genre, but I'll try to find a good song for her. As for Nanami's fighting style, the closest thing I could describe it to would be sword dancing, using quick, decisive movements to evade and attack her opponent. It'd be less of a one shot method and more like a death by a thousand cuts, if anything. Her silk and wing dust can certainly be used to hinder mobility and incapacitate a target respectively, and flight can also provide an advantage of its own in combat. That's not even taking into account the damage she could to do someone's mind with telepathy.
  23. I can see Nanami being a pretty decent singer, and showing them do things outside of just being villains would certainly be entertaining. Now I just have to figure out what type of genre would suit her best.
  24. @Bakugou is my Man Neat. If you do go for the forced upgrade via life and death situation, feel free to have the teacher of 1C not inform Ryu about that, at least not explicitly.
  25. Considering her past, Nanami wasn’t exactly keen on showing off her own quirk, though explaining what it was, at least in regards to its more well known aspects, might help the others trust her. “As some of you are aware, my name is Nanami Harada, and my quirk allows me to shoot off silk like threads that can easily be compared to that released by spiders and silkworms. It also possesses some healing properties, though such a thing is limited. My wings also allow for some flight, and the dust released by them can incapacitate an individual.” There was also her skills with short range melee weapons as well, and that had certainly caught most off guard. Narrowing her eyes, it didn’t take long for her to come up with an answer as to why she would join up with a group consisting of the people around her. “If I were to sum up my ambitions, it would be to see the world move past this unnatural obsession with the mutations of human DNA that have come to be known as quirks. You can say it’s a natural part of evolution or something that should be eliminated from the gene pool entirely; neither make a difference to me. What I care about are the 1.6 billion that are shunned by society because they don’t have access to such abilities and those who are labelled as villains because of something they have absolutely no control over.” That wasn’t even taking into account the problems with the hero system or the regulations on quirks. The sad thing was that humans would still probably find something to judge each other on, but she wasn’t asking for perfection. Letting a light sigh escape her lips, Nanami leaned back in the chair she sat in before she continued, glancing directly at the vampire in the room. “I want to repair the damage caused to the world by quirks, and I will help to fund whatever operations you decide to carry out in order to see such a thing come to fruition.” If she could stop what had happened to her or the orphan she had befriended from occurring in the life of someone else, it would be worth being called a villain at worst, if only temporarily. After all, what civil rights group didn’t break the law.
