  1. Well, that was one slip up that Rei couldn’t afford to make, considering that it woukd lead to a bit of a revelation for both faunus. Granted, Euca already knew about most of her past, so there wasn’t much to fear in that department. The snake faunus then gave a gentle sigh as she looked at the direction Draco had left. Thankfully, Euca’s answer helped to calm her nerves “Let’s just say that we worked as partners for a time before we came to Beacon. After a time, we went our seperate ways, and I never thought that I would see him again. I’m not upset that I did, though.” The snake faunus then turned to look at Yuki and knew that she had feelings for him just by the way she spoke. It was kind of cliche, but that was besides the point. “He wasn’t exactly in the best mental state at the time, but I’m glad to see that he worked on that. Either that, or he lost his memory again to some degree. I doubt that would lessen the impact you and the other members of your team have had on him, though. If you haven’t, just tell him how you feel. The offer is still open, though.” A light giggle then escaped her lios, before she began to examine the design of the dagger once again. The dragon faunus in question looked down to see a row of stones that seemed to be rather out of place on the fields of Vale. It didn’t seem that this place had seen any inhabitants for quite some time, so someone must’ve cared for the objects for a purpose. Walking slowly down the stairs, the dragon faunus could’ve sworn that he heard the echoes of a distant battle. “Why do I get the distinct feeling that I should’ve come here armed?” Upon reaching the bottom, he began to examine the stones as he continued forwards.
  2. (I apoloigze for leaving this alone for so long. Hopefully, this hasn’t died just yet.) It didn’t take long for the dragon faunus of the group of eight to realize that Ghalan had returned to his work, though he did notice the excitement of the other reptilian faunus. She always was a weapon nut, though that wasn’t a bad thing. “Right, if any of you need me, I’ll be going on a walk.” Draco left the group, if only temporarily to go exploring around the area. Something about it didn’t exactly feel right, and he couldn’t exactly place a claw on it. Wheather or not he actually encountered any creature of grimm was up to chance, though. Rei simply nodded, not even paying attention entirely as she looked over the design of the blade. “You don’t have to worry about that. Draco would probably kill me if I betrayed any of you.” The snake faunus then gave a light smile as she held the knife by her side. She then returned to her boyfriend’s side and glanced at Yuki. “Maybe the four of us could do a double date at some point. I know you have a thing for Draco, and I approve.” Of course, she couldn’t help but laugh a little as she teased the fox faunus.
  3. Rei felt a giggle escape her lips and nodded. “Good to hear. Now, I just need to find something for us to do.” Aside from killing grimm, there rpobably wouldn’t be much in the way of options. Assuming that one of them brought a scroll along, they could potentially stream a movie, among other things, and cuddle within whatever they would use as a blanket. Hopefully, Ghalan had remembered to pack a tent or two in case night fell while they were in transit. Of course, she was a bit worried about Shian when she had noticed his unintended flashback, but relaxed when Euca helped him out of it. Maybe she could talk to him later about that, considering the cause seemed to be the affection between an old crush and the one he loved Draco hummed in thought and nodded. He had yet to find out about the fact that she and Ghalan had read his journal, and there was no telling what he might do when he found out. “Yeah. I suppose you’re right. The grimm, and apparently the one who is controlling them, won’t wait for us to grow strong before she makes her move.” He hadn’t even noticed Shian staring at them when his thoughts turned to when that might possibly be. If he were to do something that might split the nations and species of the world, he’d want to have as big an impact as possible. They’d have to interrupt an event that everyone in every corner of Remnant would be watching, an event that meant unity and hope, an event that had ended a war. His eyes widened in realization, but Ghalan’s voice drowned out his own as it was about to escape his lips. Both reptilian faunus then moved to inspect their new equipment, and to say that they were pleased would be an understatement. The armor was beautiful crafted, and the dagger was everything Rei could ask for, if the fact that she acted like she was hopped up on sugar was anything to go off of.
  4. The snake faunus simply shook her head and gave a gentle smile as she gave Euca a peck on the cheek. It wasn’t like their relationship was a secret or anything, and she knew that Draco had affections for Yuki. He just wasn’t the best when it came to matters pertaining to his own emotions. “It’s ok, dear. I think we’ve all just been a bit busy as of late. We can spend more time together tonight, if you want.” How he took that invitation was up to him. Draco gave a light hum in thought and nodded. “Even with the grimm, it does look rather peaceful.” For a moment, he could’ve sworn he had felt a smile spread across his lips, It felt like this was the only time that he had actually seen the world through a gaze that did not belong to a fighter or killer, and he was starting to like it. “All things considered, I’m happy with how this first year has turned out, even if the Vytal festival is still a good ways off into the future.” He then rested a hand on her own, figuring that the feeling he wanted to comvey would be aptly summarized by this single gesture.
  5. A wide smile spread across Draco’s face, flashing his fangs slightly as he looked over the materials available to him. He then walked over to each pile and weighted a bar from each in his. Along with this, he also tested their conductivity with his semblance. They seemed inert when it came to electricity, so that was something that he thankfully didn't have to worry about. Some were certainly the right weight as well, and he trusted Ghalan when he spoke of them. “I don’t mind if you don’t use mythril for my armor, but a mixture of moonstone and ebony at the very least would create a rather unique coloration that might look good and get the job done.” He was a bit curious as to where his teammate had gotten the materials, but that question could wait until later. The dragon faunus then noticed that Yuki had seperated herself from the group and went to stand next to her. He wouldn’t talk to her though, figuring that she could do that if she had a particular matter in mind that needed his attention. Rei thought for a moment as she looked over the materials available and couldn’t help but overhear what Etherius had said. Only Shian knew her secret, but it would get out eventually. It would be best to tell them about it sooner rather than later, but now wasn’t the right time. “I’m more of a cloak and dagger kind of girl, but a bit of chain mail would be nice if it was light enough. I could also show you my weapon if you want to do any upgrades.” It seemed that she was the only one on her team that was really open to the offer the wolf faunus was putting up, but that didn’t bother her.
  6. Draco thought for s moment before nodding. Having some form of armor would probably be for the best. “I wouldn’t mind that. You’ve already shown yourself to be a rather amazing smith.” The dragon faunas was about to say something about his parents being proud of the wolf, but he figured that doing such a thing would bring up bad memories. When he heard Shain and Euca’s reasons, though, he simpky gave a light nod. “I don’t think we were far off from that when we gave our own reasons.” They were probably hyping up the position of a huntsman to something it wasn’t, but one could only dream. Rei gave a light nod as she listened to the two. “I suppose my reasons are a mixture of their’s as well.”
  7. Gale leveled out mid flight as she drew closer to the mountain. She figured that she would be safe so long as she stuck to the skies, and the fact that her friends were some disntance away meant that she didn’t have to hold back if she had to fight. “Hopefully they find somewhere to hole up until we can find a way off the island.” If land was only a few dozen miles away, she could easily cover the distance, but it would take multiple trips.
  8. Gale glanced at Mike and shook her head. Of course, she didn’t really find much use for the banana, considering the fact that she ate solely meat “If I can fly, they won’t be abke to keep up. When I do leave, keep an eye on the smaller lizard. I don’t want her to follow me. As for the beach, the three of you could find a way to build a raft, and I could pull it.” She would stull probably scout around around the area, though, if only to make sure that nothing was a theeat to them. Having said that, the dragoness spread her wings and flew straight into the air. It had been a long time since she had flown, so this was something she would enjoy greatly.
  9. Gale looked up towards the noted geographical feature and exteneded her wings slightly. There was still a light pain, but it had certainly improved. “I should be able to fly, even if it is for a short period of time, I could scout ahead.” The dragoness would’ve offered to carry them to wherever they wanted to go, but she want to push her body too much.
  10. Ryu twisted in the air to look at the ground and could feel a smile tug at his lips when he noticed what Yuki had done. “Looks like she got the idea. Now, let’s see how far I can push myself before I break.” The teen then weaved a rather intricate set of handsigns and could feel his chakra coursing through him. “”Raiton: flash cannon.” After a few seconds, a ball of highly charged electricity formed within his hand, and the shinobi in training threw it with everything he had. When it struck the ground, everything touching the water had signs of electrocution, both externally and internally. (Feel free to tell me to change anything, Nothing else really came to mind.)
  11. Ryu grit his teeth in mild frustration, but he eased his expression when he glanced at Yuki. Of course, the kuni coming at the two of them wouldn't give much time to think, so they had to talk them all out in one shot. "Aim for the ground." With that, the genin jumped into the air using chakra to enhance his strength. This next attack would take a lot out of him, but it would hopefully take the clones out as well.
  12. Gale glanced at the others and gave a rather sheepish grin. "After I got lost, I sort of fell asleep in a cave. She was in there with me when the entrance collapsed, and we sort of became friends." Granted, she didn't exactly know if the lizal considered her a friend or a means for survival, but that was a different story all together. Heck, she didn't even know the lizal's name. "After got out, we sort of came here, and I think you saw everything else."
  13. Rei gave a light shrug and felt a dull smile form on her lips. “I was just trying to get a basis on how strong our enemy actually is.”The snake faunus then pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. How else could she desrcibe Salem? One person was controlling the one force that terrofied humanity and faunus alike, and they were expected to take her down. They were just kids. Granted, they were being trained to fight, but that was beside the point. “I’m sorry. This is just a lot to take in.” Draco nodded at both Ghalan and Etherius, pleased with their response. “That’s certainly good to know.” The dragon faunus didn’t say much else after that, He didn’t really see a need to, in all honesty.
  14. Gale relaxed slightly after the lizals fled the scene and turned her attention to the lizal. “It’s ok. These are my friends, hiwever loosely that term may be used.” It wasn’t that she didn’t like them, but she had no idea what these two were like to a certain degree. Either way, the last thing she wanted was for the smaller reptile to have a panic attack.
  15. Gale was rather surprised by the actions both lizal displayed, but it didn’t take long to figure out what she needed to do. Even if the smaller lizal hadn’t exactly done much for her, there was no way that the dragoness would allow her to be killed. With that in mind, she knocked the armed lizak away with her tail and blocked his path to the other with her body. Of course, it was at this point when she noticed the rather large number of lizal and the two ponies she had been accompanying. “I was wondering where you two went.”
  16. Gale raised a brow at the lack of a reaction she recieved from the insect and began to back up as it got closer. She didn’t know what exactly it was planning, but she didn’t exactly want to find out. The strange thing was that it had yet to attack. It smelled strange, if anything. She coudln’t even begin to describe it.
  17. The fact that the smaller reptile dug into her back didn’t exactly help ease Gale’s pain, but the noise being produced from the insect behind her was s9methig she was more occupied with. The dragoness then turned to face at the insect and gave a low growl, figuring that it had already seen her.
  18. Gale took the lack of a response as a sign that she most likely wasn’t understood by the lizal. Either way, she slowly made her way through the flora found on the forest floor. It would’t do any good for the two to stay in the same place. The dragoness then felt her leg get caught on a vine and was scratched by thorns, causing her to wince in pain.
  19. “So, we’re basically dealing with gods, then. Honestly, this is starting to sound like a comic book storyline here.” Rei was pretty much going to fcus more on the information on Salem and the maidens rather than Ghalan’s family history. It was somewhat important, but not nearly as concerning. “I mean, why would you even keep all of this to yourselves? If the people learn about this, it could be a breakthrough we need to stop the grimm. If it weren’t for the fact that Draco already knew about Yuki’s powers, he probably would’ve been rather displaeased that they had kept so,ething like this from him. He simply listened as Ghalan spoke and watched Yuki form a frozen crystal with smile on his lips. The fox faunus had certainly come far from the girl he had met when they first arrived. “So, there might have actually been some truth to my mother’s words. It still doesn’t change anything.” With that thought in mind, the dragon faunus figured that now would be a good time to speak. “If ANY of this information were to be leaked to the public, one could only imagine the hysteria that it would cause. Not only would the average civie learn that the grimm are technically sentient, but that there are four individuals who might as well be considered her equal should they be brought together. The latter alone would put a bounty on Yuki’s head.” Draco's voice became colder as he spoke, even if he didn't notice it. The dragon faunus then turned to address Ghalan as he ran his claws along the wall. “Histories may be intertwined, but there will also be some disconnect. Yuki is not the previous winter maiden. She is her own person. You may want to remember that."
  20. Gale could tell that this area was making the lizal on her back nervous, but she didn’t exactly have a direct escape route. If she left, then the bear would surely attack her. The dragoness then slowly walked in a different direction, trying to find a way out of the area that the bear couldn’t get to. “If things get worse, hide.” She wasn’t sure if the smaller reptile could hear her, but it was better than nothing.
  21. “Well, that option was a bust. Looks like we’ll have to make something up on the fly.” As he spoke, a slight smile spread across Ryu’s lips. He wasn’t exactly pleased with the situation, but it had been going better than expected. If the two of them could keep him guessing, they might have a chance. “Come on, Yuki.” With that said, the teen turned on his heel and with a burst of speed courtesy of lightning chakra acting on his muscles, charged at Yasei. He wasn’t exactly at his strongest with range yet. It wasn’t a weakness, but he enjoyed fighting up close and personal more. Besides, he wasn’t about to risk the life of a teammate, no matter how recently they met.
  22. Gale was surprised when she felt the reptile on her back tense up and looked back to see that the bear was no longer following her. The dragoness was somewhat wary of her current surroundings, now. If something scared the bear and lizal that much, then it most likely meant trouble
  23. Gale looked behind her to see what was chasing her and the reptile on her back and mentally cursed. There was no way she was going to be able to fight something like that in her current situation, and the canopy was to thigh for her to fly through. For now, all she could do was run, but there was no telling how far that would get her before exhaustion took hold.
  24. Ryu glanced at his two teammates, and felt a smile form on his lips. Not only were his teammates relatively strong, but he felt that he could trust them with his life should the need arise. As soon as Yuki released her own jutsu, he figured that he’d build on that. The shinobi then extended his hand and felt the electricity as it left his body. A ball of lightning formed in his palm soon after, and with a quick toss, it was on it’s way to Shian, right next to Yuki’s stream of water.
  25. “Attention passengers, we are now making our descent. We here at Air Vale wish you safe travels to all of your desitnations, no matter the risk. You kids are the next generation of huntsman, and we thank you for your service.” The pilot’s voice held a somewhat humerous tone, but that was just to ease the mood. The bullhead then descended to the ground and landed gently on the field of tall grass at the foot of the structure Draco groaned as he woke and tried to soothe a mild headache. Having said that, he did get some of the best sleep he experianced in years, so it wasn’t all bad. A quick look out the window told him where he was, and the dragon faunus was somewhat displeased. “There had better have a good explanation for why we’re on the fringes of civilization.”
