    I finally saw Equestria Girls, it wasn't as horribly gut-wrenching as I expected, but I don't think Ill be rewatching it anytime soon. Also I very much hope this won't be canon.

      Yeah, 'tis a damn shame. There are plenty of more spectacular works of fanfics in this community that would benefit from a professionally made animated adaptation. But it is what it is, I suppose. Like you said though, I can only hope that EQG isn't canon. I'd be very disappointed if it is.

      I watched for the first time last week. Although I enjoyed it for what it was, it still felt like a wacky fanfic that somehow gained the funding for it to be professionally voiced and animated. Oh well :/
