  1. Charles scooted his chair over to the other side next to Davis and away from the rifles aim, he had faded his hearing back after speaking. "If there were no rules I'd have shot you by now you drongo. And this isn't supposed to be 'real combat' either." He replied, looking over to Masun. "Well it seems Miss Hannibal went night night, we might all want to follow in her footsteps now too." He proposed.
  2. Even without virtually being able to hear at all, Charles began to pick up what was happening once Lenaria pointed at Zac and he made his way into the ring. He took a few steps back before seeing the punch come towards him. Due to the man's lack-luster will to fight it was easy enough to dodge. He gave a chuckle before rolling backwards over to his side of the ring and kicking off with his feet on the edge once his roll came full circle in one motion. His rather athletic maneuver launched him back into his own chair next to Felicia. The impact pushed the chair back a few feet but he was still seated. He made sure to grab his rifle before it fell onto the floor. "A bit unfair wouldn't ya say mate?" He called out with a grin. "I don't think 1v1 spars are supposed to include controlling other Area Agents. But I suppose it was time to wrap that one up anyways." He continued as he pulled out his bottle of healing solution and dabbed it onto the cut on his hand and other wounds, figuring the fight was over.
  3. Charles attempted to knee her in the head when she stumbled forward, then quickly taking his other foot and thrusting the heel right at her chest to try to knock her away and wind her. His fancy footwork had cost him, however. He couldn't pull his hand away in time, and suffered a cut on the back of his hand. Though he still didn't drop the blade.
  4. Charles pulled out his butterfly knife once more and slowly shifted up towards her. He once again kept his eye on her sword as he prepared to attack. He jolted his knife as if he was about to strike, but it was a fake. Simultaneously, he sideswiped at her legs with his right boot to try to knock her down or screw up her balance.
  5. Charles attempted to sidestep the blade, but it still caught him, leaving a decent slice at his right side. He still didn't reply to her as he let go of her arm and dashed away a few steps. He gave a light chuckle to himself as he inspected the wound. He still gripped onto his knife as he waited for her move.
  6. As he expected by going on the offensive, Lenaria had made her move against him. However Charles's attention to the sword allowed him to lock blades with the weapon with his Bowie knife mid strike. With her arm in it's stalled position, Charles flipped his knife closed and dropped it in his pocket before grabbing onto her sword arm in one fluid motion. He yanked at her arm to try to pull her into him and jolted his own head at her, trying to hit her with a surprise headbutt and knock her out of her side of the ring and onto the floor.
  7. Charles waited a few moments, not making any move after she spoke before pulling out a steel and silver colored butterfly knife from his back pocket and flipping it open in his free hand. He quickly closed in on her, keeping track of her sword as he took a stab at her shoulder with the smaller knife and ready to stop the sword with the bigger blade of his Bowie knife. His eyes tracked everything he could, and he was ready to use his feet if needed.
  8. Misha fished the knife from his back pocket and tossed it over. "An 'I owe you' huh?" He said. "I've never been a big fan of debts. Immediate payment has always sit better with me... Speaking of debts, I presume the Chairwoman of the Biker Brigade back there put you in debt to her too? Didn't she?" He asked. "She seems to be the type to try to control someone with the mafiosi 'you owe the family a favor' angle." He finished with a chuckle before growing a bit more serious. "My advice has always been to never put yourself in debt. People who are in debt are slaves. And I'd say that you mighta just put yourself in a bad position with her if I'm not mistaken."
  9. Misha stopped flipping his knife and gave a grin. "Thanks." He said. "Misha Zoloto, it's a pleasure to meet the person who is causing us to drive this bus over the nice Cadillac." He replied with a chuckle. "And if I'm not mistaken I have a few things that you left behind for me." He said as he pulled the gun from his side and onto his lap. He had the knife in his back pocket. "They were very hard to lug all the way over here. I can't imagine I did it for nothing, right Chelsea?" He finished.
  10. Misha gave a smirk as he got up, grabbing the keys from the counter. He finished his juicebox and tossed it into a trash bin nearby before giving the traditional Mordenic salute and walking out the door to the back. He took Chelsea's gun from earlier with her knife still in his pocket and found his way to the bus. Misha opened the door and sat in the drivers seat. He turned the bus on and waited for the rest of the group to leave the store. In the meantime he pulled out his gold butterfly knife and flipped it around in his hand to pass the time.
  11. Charles didn't reply, he simply stood there with his knife out like he didn't hear anything. Because technically, he didn't actually hear anything she said after he put up his knife. As someone who is completely in control of his senses and body, not only could he nullify pain, but he could tune out his own hearing. It was a skill he frequently used right before taking a shot, allowing him to fully focus on his sight while aiming. But he also found it incredibly useful while fighting Sirens in the past. The downside was obvious, all he could hear was feint muffles of sound now and feel the vibrations with his feet. But in the middle of an open ring it didn't matter all that much. Plus it allowed him to focus all his power on the rest of his senses.
  12. Charles gave a chuckle and drew his knife. His accent seemed to decrease quite a bit when he spoke. "I'm afraid the werewolf would've been a much better matchup for you than me. Your powers rely on tricking people with weak minds and wills. And out of all the people who have trained their brain here, it's me." He explained, sounding a bit more serious without his usual slang. "There is a reason why it's said that Sirens used to target Sailors and lure them to their deaths while out at sea. Because they're easy prey. Brigands without food and water floating out in the middle of the ocean tend to be a little less sound of mind than most." He finished. "With powers out of the way, you're obviously a stealth and deception fighter... and a bit out of your element right now too. There isn't much stealth to be had in the middle of a ring is there mate?" He asked with a laugh. Finished with his observations, he put his knife up and waited.
  13. "Aye, I'll have a go at it." Charles said as he got up and walked back into the ring, leaving his rifle back by the chair again. He ran himself dry of safe ammunition to use, making him a bit skeptical on how this was going to turn out. But he had dealt with Sirens in the past, even with a lack of equipment it should be possible to keep himself afloat.
  14. "White oak, I love the stuff." Charles replied as he kicked his foot up on his knee and tapped the hard wooden heel of his boot. "My teethkickers are even made out of it too. Disables any magic traps and helps keep me on solid ground." He explained before dropping his foot back to the floor. "Silver sparkles are pretty useful too. But I've had more success using it as a type of tear gas-esque grenade in the past. Can even be lethal if demonic creatures or power users inhale it." Charles added. He looked over to Sam and tossed over the bottle. "Sure mate, but make sure you don't go overboard. It's hard to make."
  15. Charles gave a laugh before replying. "How about we call it even steven for now?" He said as he pulled the blade away from her neck and patted her on her good shoulder. He cleaned the blood off the knife and put away all his weapons before walking back to his chair by Felicia and sitting down. "Well that went pretty good given the circumstances. Ruined my good pants though..." He commented as he picked up his lost rifle and slung it around his back once more. He sifted through his pockets and pulled out some sort of liquid in a small clear bottle. He uncapped it and dabbed a bit on his wounds like glue. Within a few minutes the gash on his leg and wound on his shoulder had healed back to the point of virtually never being there.
  16. The stun from her punch caused Charles to stumble back, pulling the knife from her shoulder as he backed off. Even with his resilience, his body couldn't react fast enough after being shocked to dodge the spears altogether. One grazed his lower leg, while another hit him in the shoulder leaving bullet wound like damage in it's wake. Though before any further damage could occur Charles regained full control of his body and did another combat roll out of the way and around the corner of the ring. "A bit over the top, wouldn't ya say mate?" He called out from cover. Charles didn't seem to pay much attention to his wounds, physical pain was never something that effected him all that much. He knew he had nothing to stop her from throwing a bomb like spell around the corner if he waited. So he peered out with his revolver and fired the last rubber bullet at her head while she was clutching her wound and began to rush down the side of the ring over to her, knife at the ready.
  17. Charles gave a grin when she fell to the floor, but this quickly dissipated at the sight of the spell. He covered his eyes with his hand on top of his sunglasses to stop himself from getting flashbanged, but when the lights dulled down, he noticed two of a kind standing in the ring now. He only had one bullet left, so he couldn't act carelessly. And he was out of all anti-magic projectiles for now. Deciding the best way to figure out which one is the real Sam would be old school, Charles pulled two regular bullets from his pocket and threw them at the two clones. Since they were both illusions, the two bullets passed right through both of them. Something he hadn't really expected, but wasn't entirely surprised. Clever clever... the hunter becomes the hunted, huh mate? He thought as he closed his eyes, focusing on his senses the best he could. Charles holstered his revolver and pulled out his knife. "Fee fi fo fum." He called out as he began to hear light footsteps from the right side of the ring. Charles did a combat roll over and off the side of the ring and onto his feet next to Sam. With his knife already out, he made a slash right at her chest and shoulder, trying to beat her to the draw before she could attack. "I smell the blood of an Englishman!" He finished mid-slash with a laugh.
  18. As soon as Sam finished her final sentence and signaled the start of the fight, Charles pulled his gun out at lightning speed and fired off the first round. The reason he loaded only the three bullets earlier finally came to play. All of them were non-lethal. The first shot was the bullet he loaded when he knew he was going to have to fight Sam. Instead of a metal projectile, it fired out a breakable hard plastic capsule filled with White Oak shavings soaked in water. He only had one on him at the time, but the mystical trait of White Oak could dispell any medium strength magic abilities on contact. He knew from earlier that she had some sort of barrier around her due to Lenaria's voice magic getting stopped. The bullet should break on any shield up that can stop physical attacks and destroy it. And even if there isn't any shield up, it should break on Sam and slightly weaken her abilities. Stopping any passive spells in the process. Charles fired the second bullet, now sure that there wasn't any chance of a shield stopping him. It was a basic rubber bullet and aimed right at her forehead. He hoped to daze her and get some information before closing in.
  19. "Well thank you, mate. I'm glad to be here too. Things were getting a bit stale back at Area 10 anyways." He added as he got up after Masun called for him. Charles unslung his rifle from his back and propped it up against his chair. He did some arm stretches and cracked his neck to the sides before looking back at Felicia. "Now... hopefully I don't make a proper fool of myself to ruin my good image." He said with a chuckle and then made his way into the ring, tipping his hat to her in the process. Charles looked over to Sam now and pulled his revolver out. He opened the cylinder up and fished out one more round from his pocket after grabbing a pile of them, putting it in front of the other two he just loaded earlier and flipped it closed. Charles holstered the revolver with three bullets and waited for Sam. Whistling a tune to himself in the meantime.
  20. Charles has to start watching for a few moments after the punch collided and shook the room. He had been glancing every once in a while to take mental notes, but he figured something was about to go down. And he was definitely right. Charles noticeably cringed up and made a hissing sound when Auria's hand flew off and slid to a stop a few feet from them. "You can't have a game without a free souvenir..." He said sarcastically. "Some fight indeed." He said, getting back on topic. "Mr Kazari's bloody daughter was a tad bit upset with me when I was contracted to eliminate him. He runs a clan of samurais and shinobis, however they strayed a bit from the traditional way of running things and instead opted for a more Yakuza like approach. Their conduct began to be a problem, so I was called in. I waited a few miles outside their castle out in the countryside of Japan for four days before he showed his face on the balcony to take some air. Annnnnnd then promptly hollowed out his head." "I thought that would of been the end of it, but somehow this girl had worked up quite the grudge. She tracked me down while I was in China and dueled me inside of a bloody coffee house after a failed attempt to poison me. I hate to admit it, but she outmatched me in close quarters. And she would of won since I couldn't get range on her. But when you fight with a grudge, you tend to end up making mistakes in the end. While we were locked blade to blade, she started mouthing off about her revenge or and I took the time to throw a tablecloth at her mid talk about the restoration of her honor. She sent a wild kick at me while she was blinded and I took it. Broke a few ribs, but I had a iron lock on her leg with my arm. I sent my knife straight through her kneecap, and the fight very quickly went downhill for her from there." Charles explained. "Even got the bloody sword too. Taking a trophy from a person the same way we do animals would be morbid. Thankfully for a hunter like myself people have possessions. 'You can't have a game without a free souvenir'." He repeated with a grin as he watched the fight in the ring.
  21. Charles gave a grin. "Oh you flatter me, Felicia..." He started "Not too shabby yourself either, mate. Love the suit." Charles replied. He usually did give off a better impression in person than what would be expected by his reputation. He kept himself remarkably clean, to the point where people with O.C.D. couldn't find fault in his hygiene. The only thing that was actually rugged about his appearance was his outdoorsy choice of clothing. He extended his right hand out for a shake. "Since you obviously know about me, I think it's safe to say you already know my name too?" He added.
  22. Charles wrote 'werewolf' under Sofia's name after Sam spoke and then began taking small notes. However his head perked up from his writing once he heard someone new speak. Judging by how Masun was talking to her, he figured she has to be the one person he hasn't met yet. The only information he has was that they were the Director of this Area, and that their last name was Davis. Judging by the room marked 'Director Davis's Office' he saw earlier while sketching the map of the main floor. Charles watched contently as the scene unfolded. He held back a chuckle as Masun got flung out from the ring. Instead opting for a golf clap after he hit the floor. He took as many notes about both Masun and Davis from the event before closing his notebook and putting it in his pocket. Charles figured he'd continue writing later. He pulled out his revolver and emptied all the bullets inside into his palm. He placed them in his pocket and loaded two other bullets he had in his pocket instead before holstering the weapon again as he waited for Masun and Auria's fight to be over. However waiting was never something Charles loved. He did more than enough waiting while on missions. After thinking for a few moments he decided he might as well find out a bit more about the good Director. Charles got up, holding onto the folding chair he was sitting on, and shifted over to Felicia. He sat his chair down next to her and extended his hand out for a shake. "Director Davis, I presume?" He spoke, trying to use the nicest normal tone he could. He had already probably gotten on Masun's bad side, and he didn't have intentions to anger both of the leaders here in one day.
  23. Charles had pulled out his notebook after Masun suggested everyone to talk about their powers. He flipped to the page that he was writing down notes about everyone and waited. He grew interested when Auria said she was gonna go next. They seemed a bit against the hunting of animals, so Charles was betting on werewolf at this point. However he was disappointed once Auria finally spoke. With a somber look he circled 'ghoul' under her name. "A blood drinker and a flesh eater. I guess I'm breakfast now." He said. He never had much of vendetta against ghouls or vampires however. In his mind their eating habits weren't all that different from his own.
  24. Charles was going to reply, but then he heard Masun speak. At the end of his proposition he raised his hand. He obviously wasn't excited to wake up late, but he figured opposing it wasn't worth it at this point. Still jacked up on coffee and without sleep for a whole day and night made him question whether it would be easier or harder to go to sleep later on.
  25. Charles' good perception and awareness allowed him to easily notice Auria, which he gave a smile back and tipped his hat before turning to Sam and shaking his head. "It's just not quite the same mate. There are going to be losses in our struggle to stop world war three, it seems the dreams of my bacon and eggs will be the first." He replied as seriously as he could.
