  1. (So sorry for the late replies! I've been busy with school.) Civ saw the ogre charging at her and Connor and she quickly jumped out of the way. She disgracefully landed on her belly, but quickly rolled over onto her feet. She yelled for Connor to jump out of the way too while there was still time.
  2. @, @, @"And I suppose that sense this is our test, you expect us to make a plan?" Civ clarified. "Fine. There's no trouble in a few darkspawn, I doubt we'll need to think this through too hard. Connor and I can deal with the ogre. Vk'tir can kill the commander. You, Ser Thomas and the mages can keep the weaker ones from overrunning us. The battle shouldn't take more than a minute or two."
  3. Civ extended an open palm and used it to cover Connor's fist. "I will not have you acting like this, Connor!" She said sternly. "You are obsessive! This is not good for you! Do you not even realize what is happening? Lives are at stake and you're more willing to fight priests than darkspawn!"
  4. (Sorry for the late reply) Civ readied her massive blade at the paralyzed darkspawn and swung at its neck, being sure to strike at the point where its armor was weakest. The blade cut into its neck half-way, deep enough to kill it instantly. She pulled her greatsword back and the genlock alfa fell to the ground.
  5. Civ instinctively grabbed Connor's hand and flung it off of her shoulder. "Please. Keep your hands to yourself!" She demanded. She said this without even thinking about who she was talking to. Someone had touched her shoulder and she didn't like it. When she realized it was Connor, she shook her head and continued putting on the last pieces of her armor. "Sorry, Connor." She said. "I don't know much about this Fereldin. In Antiva, the women must always be on their guard, you see. Maldicion! Why does a place so beautiful as my Antiva have to be so corrupt? I say that Fereldin is strange, but I think I like it better." She finished strapping on her armor. "We should be going now. Yuril is waiting for us."
  6. "I'm awake! I'm awake," Civ repeated in a half-yawn as she rubbed her eyes. After she stepped out of her tent she was reminded of how cold Fereldin was. She quickly re-entered her tent and did not come back out until she was fully ready. Even then, she was cold.
  7. You know fish can hear you thinking just before you sneeze?

  8. Civ put away her stew without completely finishing it and crawled into one of the open tents. She rested her head and closed her eyes, but it took her a while to fall asleep. The secrecy about the joining only made her more worried. Why would they not tell her and the other recruits? She wondered.
  9. Civ stopped talking to Conner as soon as Yuril interrupted them, but she didn't stop thinking about their short conversation. She grabbed a plate of stew and slowly ate a few spoonfuls as she stared blankly into the fire. She missed Antiva. It was never this cold in Antiva.
  10. Civ replied with a whisper so that the other Wardens couldn't hear her. "What do you know about this joining ritual? It's all so secret, you know? I have heard rumors in Antiva. I don't think all recruits survive the joining!" She glanced at the Wardens to see what they were doing. They seemed occupied with the other recruits.
  11. Civ stepped out of an ox drawn carriage. It had stopped on the main road to Denerim and couldn't take her any further into the woods. After paying the driver, she gathered her things and walked toward the camp. As she walked, she passed by a warrior in heavy plate armor. She knew that he must be another recruit, as there was no other reason to be there. Before the others in the camp saw them, she decided to speak to the Reaver with her unmistakable Antivan accent. "You are from here in this Fereldin, yes?" She asked. "I can tell my the smell. I don't mean to be rude, but your Fereldin smells of wet dogs! Not that Antivan is any better. She smells of smoke and piss. Anyway, I am Civera. Most call me Civ." They both walked into the camp and Civ waited for a reply.
  12. Well, if that's the case, we might be waiting for a while. Blackquill hasn't been online for over a day. That's like an eternity in internet time!
  13. I know you already have the four players you need, but I spoke to Snails in a PM and he says I can join as a fifth member. Name: Civera Cosley (I will be referring to her as Civ) Gender: Female Race: Human Description: Civ has long, raven black hair and light blue eyes. Her chin and jaw are narrow, making her face look somewhat thin. She is very tall, even able to tower over some men. Her sturdy, robust body allows her to wear heavy plate armor. Personality: Civ loves and hates her native land of Antiva. In Fereldin, she is mostly just confused and knows little about how to interact. Because she was raised in Antiva, She is used to violence and is perfectly comfortable with things that are considered inappropriate in Fereldin. Despite her manners and her bluntness, Civ is primarily a fighter for justice, especially in a place as corrupt as Antiva. Class: Warrior Specialization: Berserker Technique: Two Handed Equipment: A Silverite Greatsword, Silverite Plate Armor, casual clothes Backstory: Civ grew up as an orphan in an Antivan whore house (Which is normal in Antiva) most of her childhood friends were sold to the Antivan Crows, but she was never bought because she lacked the finesse they were looking for. At the age of fourteen, she escaped from the whore house alone with a few stolen silvers and joined a street gang in lower Antiva City. She left the gang when she was old enough to fight for herself and later found out that a majority of the remaining gang members had been killed by a cell of Antivan Crows. She began mercenary work, primarily hiring herself out to nobles in need of protection from Crow Assassins. Her only purpose she lived for was to fight the Antivan Crows as much as possible. She blamed them for how corrupt her beloved Antiva had become and for taking away so many of the dear friends. The Crows took notice of her and she experienced two failed assassination attempts that were directed at her. She intended to continue until they finally killed her, but her reputation also attracted another group when she was recruited to the Grey Wardens.
  14. Here are some others I didn't put in my last post. "You see them out there. You know that when we die--we become them. You think we hide behind these walls to protect us from the walking dead? Don't you get it? We are the walking dead!" ~ Rick Grimes (The Walking Dead Volume 4) "Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them so much." ~ Oscar Wilde "Youth is waisted on the young." ~ George Bernard Shaw
  15. This Honest Trailer actually answers this question quite well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb5IH57SorQ‎
  16. Anybody remember when that PlanetEarth show premiered on the Discovery channel? I couldn't stop watching it. (And I learned a lot about locust that I really didn't want to know.) MythBusters certainly counts as an educational show, and I still watch that.
  17. I always thought that was a quote from something else. I didn't know it came directly from Fallout. OT: I can think of a couple quotes that I like. These are some that I can think of off the bat. I have a lot of favorite quotes. "Antiva is a terrible place. All full of assassins... and Antivans!" - Duncan (Dragon Age) "I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to too." ~ Mitch Hedberg "True friends stab you in the front." ~ Oscar Wilde "We were camping for two nights and six mornings in a wa-hoo, downing Bacardi; and where I'm from, momma gets a 'what-what!' You know I represent!" ~ Michelle Bachman, a Bad Lip Reading "My problem with the internet is that it's full of people quoting me on things that I've never even said!" ~ Abraham Lincoln
  18. I had a friend get me to join this site for the Roleplay World. But I guess I need to make five posts until then...
