Sorry I was meaning one of the Discworld books was turned into a movie. Hm...I'm not heard of them. I'll have to look into them. Thanks for the suggestion I've not read any of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" yet, but they are on my to-read list.

Is Sweet Apple Acres an actual part of Ponyville?

You can see on the map some of the trees and the name Ponyville covers part of it so I guess they make the city center what would be the center of the city's territory. It makes sense and it keeps SAA with Ponyville. -
Hmm...That's a great way to look at it. It makes sense too. I guess we'll just have to wait to see if Cadence and Shining Armor have children. -

I've not read any of his books, but I have seen one of the movies based on his books. One about Hogfather. It was pretty interesting. I do have his books on my to-read list. However, that list is over 7,000 long lol. Drama is good. I don't remember the last time I've read a book with a lot of drama though.

So I was wondering if there were any other readers here. I didn't see any other topic about reading so I figured I'd start one. What kind of books do you mostly read? What's your favorite book/author? I always laughed at Rainbow Dash when she called Twilight Sparkle an egghead. I heard that one quite a bit growing up. While it was a sore spot then I take it with pride now that I'm egghead. One of my favorite episodes has to be where Rainbow Dash learns the joys of reading. So I just wanted to connect with other readers on this site since it's one of my favorite things to do.

Wow everyone here is so great! I've already met a couple of people who are wonderful! Thank you all so much! I've gotten some flack from my family, but I mostly ignore them. I don't really listen to their opinions since they haven't watched it. My fiancee has watched it with me a little and says it's annoying, but he also said it seems like the perfect show for me so I have that at least. Thank you all so much!

Wow I never expected so many replies. It explains a lot though. Thank you. Some of you mention a book. Do you remember what the book is? I'd love to read it. That doll does go against what seems to be cannon... So this brings up another questions. Say Twilight Sparkle (or any Alicorn for that matter) has a kid... Any idea what it would be? I guess the best option would be Princess Cadence and Shining Armor. In my opinion I'm pretty sure it would be a Unicorn, but I could be wrong because the episode where Mr. and Mrs. Cake threw me through a loop on that idea lol. Thanks everyone for all the help.

I agree I think that they set up the orchards and the town set themselves up on the edge of it. So the edge might reach into the city itself, but the barn, house, etc are not quite within them. I do believe they are a part of the city though because in another episode with the brothers Flim and Flam (I think that's their names) the mayor of Ponyville declared that the winner would be the supplier for all of Ponyville. This seems a little vague (sorry), but I'm trying to keep spoilers to a minimum. To me that said that they were part of Ponyville. I know I live in a small town (IRL) and there homes and such between the next town and ours, but since we are bigger they are considered part of the town I live in. Some of them are even farms so it's pretty similar. Even though they don't live within in the town themselves they are still considered to live in the same town. -
So I'm new to the MLP fandom and I had some questions about Alicorns. Are there some that are born Alicorns? This may seem odd, but I've watched all three seasons that Netflix has of MLP: FIM and the movie but still have not been able to understand this. Also are all Alicorns royalty? So far it seems that way, but I do realize that not all royalty are Alicorns. I feel silly saying Alicorn because I grew up calling them Pegacorns. Maybe that's just a thing where I'm from though. Please keep in mind I've only watched the first three seasons and the movies so no spoilers if possible. I understand if you say later in season four that they explain it. Thank you!

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: I used a search engine to find any My Little Pony fan forums. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I watched a documentary about Bronies on Netflix and that got me interested in the show enough that I started to watch it on Netflix as well. Fell in love with the first episode. Hi. I'm new (clearly lol). I'm 25 and I live in a small town in Utah (USA). I am new to the MLP: FIM fandom, but super excited to meet people. MLP has been helping me with some things I've been going through on my own too afraid to tell other people, but it has helped me deal with them and open up more to others. My favorite pony would have to be either Granny Smith or Apple Blossom. I can't pick one. I'm sure others have this issue too. I know I may seem a little old for the show, but from what I understand a lot of Bronies and Pegasisters are adults as well. I'm super excited to make some new friends!
