I'll post a long description later! ok, here it is: (she is refered to as XXX) Born and raised in Cloudsdale, XXX was never very athletic. She never seemed to be interested in school, either. Her parents constantly went off in rants about her future weather career, always arguing over weather she'd make snow flakes, as her mother does, or rainbows, like her father. She always insisted she did not want to do either, but her parents scoffed at the mere idea of their daughter not following the family legacy. Her father often even claimed she couldn't do much else, considering her less-than-extraordinary wings. She remained uninterested in pretty much everything for the majority of her life as a filly, in a constant limbo of neutrality. She was fine with this. One day, that all changed. Her class mates began to gain their cutie marks, much to her despair. She realized that nothing made her special. she didn't like rainbows, snowflakes, or even clouds. She couldn't go fast, she wasn't too smart, she... she had no passion. This terrorized her. Was something wrong with her? She began to lash out. she got mad. And sad. scared, and even happy. She fantasized that her cutie mark was that she had no talent. but what would that look like? Nothing. but then, how could that be her cutie mark? She lashed out at a teacher in class one day. A substitute. She screamed and claimed him to be stupid. she scorned cutie marks, anyone who had them, and anyone who claimed she would. The sub nervously compared her outburst to be similar to that of a dragon. ignoring his joke, she went home. Bored of her parents complaints about her behavior, she decided to sneak out. Her parents never really paid attention to her when they weren't ranting, so she figured it'd take them a few hours before they noticed she was gone. she'd be back by then. after wandering around a while, she decided to go to the library. once there, she remembered what the teacher had said. "A dragon?" she found several books about them, and within a few minutes, was completely hooked. She read book after book. after awhile, a gleam appeared in her eyes. completely forgetting her family woes, her cutie mark, she poured through so many books she'd fall asleep still reading. She began to do reports on them, drawing pictures, but she'd keep it a secret from her parents. they wouldn't be happy with her after finding out she was so obsessed with dragons. Her cutie mark remained non-existant. it wasn't until one day, when a teacher took the class on a field trip, that she got her cutie mark. after seeing a creature she'd only seen drawings of in real life, did that cutie mark appear. Her parents weren't happy. outraged, they threatened to throw her out if she considered to continue her career path. She promptly left, moving closer to the dragon migrations, to Ponyville. she spends little time at home, however, as she spends most of her time studying dragons in their homelands. okay, nice and through?

O.o i didn't there coould be that much death and murder in equestria 0.o what are her flaws?

Yeah, i can see how the whole "easy to anger but hard to offend" thing is contradictory. I dont want people to think she would be constantly yelling and always angry, but she does have the kind of personality where she is essentially bipolar (i am bipolar, so i often become extremely angry out of nowhere. Unfortunately, insults don't sink in every well, so i end up having a fit, where the only way i can express myself is through violence, if caused by insults, this can end with me hurting myself). I want her to be a friendly pony, but unable to control herself when she is mad. Do you have any suggestions on how to word this properly? (Perhaps it is hard to make her mad, but when she is mad, she is MAD.

I have a pony creator image already set up, but Id love an actual drawing if you'd like to What do you recommend i do? What doesn't seem to add up?

here's a short add-on to help you guys see her personality, as so far she's been portrayed as a rude "Doesn't care" type pony. she isn't disinterested because she is "stuck up" in fact, she doesn't often gloat or shove away any help or friends. She could never find a "passion" when growing up, which worried her when she discovered her friends getting cutie marks. She never had any aspirations, either. she never even planned for the future. perhaps she feared it? maybe she didn't want it to happen. when she finally got her cutie mark, she was getting older. she suddenly became very excited for her future, deciding where she would live, where she would work, etc. she moved to ponyville, which is closer to the dragon migration. she is out of town most often, so she doesn't know any dragons (spike) lived there. as far as her personality goes: She is very cheerful, except when she is insulted or upset at someone. she is quite quick to anger, but doesn't find much offensive (hoping that makes sense, if offend her, she gets mad fast, but is hard to offend). when she isn't upset, she loves to joke and tell dragon facts. this can be quite annoying after a while. (don't worry, there wont be any constant fact telling, but facts will be told!) how is that? please give suggestions!!! Nope, the hotkeys don't work

Her teacher explained, and she became fascinated with them. She did report after report on them. She began to watch the dragon migration every year. Now, she is the leading expert of dragons. Any good?

And you did a very good job! She is quite believable, but i dont see her as a mary sue.

I wanted to make a post about how each pony has a second, usually negative trait that defines their personalities. The problem is, there isnt a place where i can discuss the series in general. There is no place to post this! I was hoping to start a thread in the season 4 section of show discussion, but i cannot. Very aggravating

Ooh! Nice, detailed back story. I rarely hear of inter "species" couples, referring to her parents. Her like of athleticism is fairly typical of pegasai, i believe. Here obsession with stars isn't extremely unique, as i feel most pegasai love these sorts of things. Her high intelligence can be rare, although she isn't exactly a "book worm" whoops! To rephase that, a love of intellegence and learning is somewhat rare, not intelligence in general. Overall a great character, one that blows mine away (obsessed with dragobs)
