    "no overt racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia" etc... in the debate pit rules. I'm sure this wasn't their intention but I can't help reading this as "but it's okay as long as you do it covertly".

      Denying rights to people for believing or being part of minority and/or less privileged groups is bigotry. Putting them in their place for using those labels as excuses for antisocial behavior, demand privileges, and being bigots themselves is not bigotry
