Update: I've been making progress and now have an actual proper mod, not just a hacked player.lua file! If anyone is interested in trying it I may start a public beta server.

I've been working on a mod called Mine Little Testy Pony for a game called Minetest. It's based off of a mod called Mine Little Pony for Minecraft. Yes, I really did think of an original name didn't I? I put it on a public server along with some other random mods, thus "Mine Little Testy Server BETA" was born! 
 
All of the custom mods running on the server are unfinished (there are 3 so far), I plan on eventually making a "subgame" which is a collection of mods and modpacks bundled together. I plan on the final subgame having a much heavier MLP theme than the test server has. I plan on doing custom biomes, maybe custom mobs, and altering several other mods, or at least changing out their textures.
 
The main part it the subgame the mltp modpack, which essentially only has basic skins now. I have some simple pony race specific things added like speed for earth ponies, and higher jump for pegasi (alicorns get everything). I also have the ability to cycle through different physics settings, currently there is normal, alternate, and flight.
 
I'm still working on the flight system for pegasus and alicorns, it's about 80% done more or less, the animations just get screwed up too easily, but the flying part works well (it's locked in the server). I also plan on adding a magic system, that let's you use magical powers if you are a unicorn/alicorn. Another component I really need to add is an upgrade system where you start off only being able to use earth pony powers, then you can craft an upgrade to use flight, then magic.

Note: the current version of the skins mod on the server apparently doesn't save your skin settings after you leave, it should be fixed next time I update the mod on the server.

I really appreciate getting feedback about did like this. I'll definitely take into account the advice I've been getting here in my drawings. I really need to make time to practice sketching, and digital painting. I really like the idea of coloring the cutie mark lines! And I agree the hair still needs work.

@rage that's funny how they are pretty simalar, but I suppose with the sheer amount of mlp fan art there is going to be overlap I like how you have a backstory written for you character, I've been meaning to develop my OCs personally more.

Not bad! One thing I like about this piece of work is the colours are great. They aren't vivid, but they aren't dull at the same time, just like the colours in MLP:FiM.

 

The hoof does bug me a little too. What you should do to fix that is you should practice pony anatomy before you finish drawing a sketch. There's nothing more worse than improper anatomy, isn't there?

 

Now, the mane and tail bug me too, yet at the same time, I like it. Curls look really nice on her, but if there is something I could fix with both, I would make them shorter in length. Especially the tail, it's a little distracting.

 

Otherwise, this is a nice piece you drew. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the input! It's always great to get outside perspectives about art . I don't have a ton of drawing experience at drawing, but I've been trying to learn more lately. I'm glad you like the colors! Maybe I did better with those because I've done a lot more photographic work with balancing colors and have more sense with that than drawn form, actually that's the part I wanted to do the most, colors and playing with D. painting in general, and so I may neglected some other things a bit. I know exactly what you mean about the mane/hair, I like the curls but something about it is off. I will follow your advice and make sure the anatomy is correct in the sketch before spending all that time painting over it. Because it's much more worthwhile to have a better foundation for the rest of the drawing/painting than to rush into it.

I think creating a new character is harder than rendering one that has already had the details thought out.

This is my OC Vanilla Pie, I would say more about her but I need to figure that out all the way What does everypony think of her? Also does the art quality seem okay, 'cause I'm new to digital painting? The front hoof and the hair bugs me. Rarity-Love helped me think of the cutie mark.
