  1. Yet again, I'm here to post one thread. Anyway, I'm reading the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comics, and I just finished reading the second story arc. Somebody said they consider the IDW comics fully canon, but that doesn't really make much sense. Those comics take place after season 2, right? Why didn't Luna have her sparkly mane and dark blue coat until close to the end? The only explanation I can think of is that she used magic to change her appearance in Luna Eclipsed and A Canterlot Wedding but she didn't in The Return of Nightmare Moon, either because she was in a hurry or because she was too stressed out about the Nightmare Forces.
  2. Once again, I'm just here for this thread. Sorry if it was stupid of me to post this. Anyway, I came up with an idea that my friends think is awesome, but I just don't think I'd do a good job writing it. Other than one true story, I haven't finished writing a story since I was 14 and it was just a fairy tale I had to write for Spanish class, and before that I hadn't finished writing a story since I was nine. And I have a really hard time understanding people's personalities which makes it impossible to write characters correctly. So if anybody wants to use my idea, they can. The story links G1 to FiM. There are lots of parts I haven't worked out, and some of it I'm making up as I type this post. And I haven't actually seen every episode of the G1 series because it would be a lot of trouble to find it, so there may be some things in this that don't work. Something-I haven't decided what-was threatening to destroy the world, and the Rainbow of Light wasn't strong enough to stop it. The princess ponies realized that only the magic in the Heart of Ponyland was strong enough to defeat this thing. Their magic wands, of course, drew their magic from the Heart of Ponyland, but they still weren't powerful enough, so the princesses transferred magic from the Heart of Ponyland into themselves, becoming alicorns. They left the wands and the Rainbow of Light on the Heart of Ponyland because they didn't need them anymore. With their alicorn magic, they were able to defeat the threat, but much of the world lay in ruins. I haven't worked out exactly what happened to humans and elves and other humanoids, but they were gone, except for Megan, Molly, and Danny, who the ponies had been able to save. But Ponyland was safe. Then they realized that the sun wasn't moving. A few ponies went to the ruins of the Moochick's house to see if they could find a book that would explain what was happening. After hours of searching, they found a book about the Heart of Ponyland. Long, long ago, the magic wands were made from part of the Heart of Ponyland so the magic could be used to protect Ponyland. As they already knew, the Heart of Ponyland controlled the magic in Ponyland, but what they DIDN'T know was that it also controlled all the magic in the entire world. This included the rising and setting of the sun and the moon, nature, and the weather. If enough magic was drained from it, the world might not work properly, but nobody knew for sure because trying it would be too risky. There was no known way to restore the drained magic. With the Heart of Ponyland no longer working properly, it was up to the ponies to make the world work again. The pegasi had to figure out how to control the weather, the unicorns had to create spells to raise the sun and the moon, and the earth ponies grew food. They were too busy figuring out how to make the world work to create new technology, or even maintain the technology they had. That's why they had no technology when Luna and Celestia became princesses thousands of years later. Nopony went back to the Heart of Ponyland until it had long been forgotten, so they didn't know what was happening there during this time. There was just enough magic left in the Heart of Ponyland for the area around it to continue to work like normal. This area eventually became the Everfree Forest. Because the wands had been returned and the Rainbow of Light had been placed on top of the Heart of Ponyland, the Heart of Ponyland, like a seed, grew into a tree and the six wands became colored gems on the tree. The Rainbow of Light was locked inside a magical chest and being with the gems and the tree changed it somehow. Thousands of years later, ponies would discover the tree and call it the Tree of Harmony. I sure hope somebody can use this and make it awesome. Of course, if somebody wants to write it WITH me, I would really enjoy that (hint hint)... And, of course if someone were to write it WITH me, I wouldn't be okay with anyone using the idea other than the person writing it WITH me... So people read this but didn't reply? Does that mean my idea sucks?
  3. I know her full name. That's why I thought it was so strange that the pony who ruled the Crystal Empire thousands of years ago was named Princess Amore.
  4. In The Journal of the Two Sisters, the ruler of the Crystal Empire when Luna and Celestia first became princesses was named Princess Amore. I thought that was pretty strange, but I dismissed it. Then I rewatched The Crystal Empire last night. When Princess Cadence had caught the Crystal Heart and was flying over them, at first they were saying, "Who is that?" but then somepony said, "Behold, the Crystal Princess!" Her cutie mark was glowing, too. *skims through an entry in The Journal of the Two Sisters* Princess Amore also had a cutie mark with the Crystal Heart on it. If you haven't read The Journal of the Two Sisters and you don't want spoilers, you'd better stop reading this right now. The crystal ponies found the Crystal Heart in a dragon's hoard, but they thought the dragon was a myth, so they took it. Princess Amore got her cutie mark when she projected her love into the Crystal Heart which then magnified it. Then later it turned out that dragon was actually real and it stole the Crystal Heart back. Just like Princess Cadence, Princess Amore tried to send a protective aura of love over the Empire by herself. But unlike Princess Cadence, Princess Amore was only a unicorn, so her magic wasn't strong enough and her magic was completely depleted. Celestia and Luna had to go convince the dragon to give the crystal ponies the Crystal Heart. There's obviously a connection between Princess Cadence and Princess Amore. Since the crystal ponies seemed to think Princess Cadence WAS Princess Amore, they must look a lot alike. Is that all, or is Princess Cadence a descendant of Princess Amore? Or is Princess Cadence actually Princess Amore? That seems very unlikely, since the book didn't say anything about Princess Amore becoming an alicorn, and Princess Cadence appears to age at the same rate as ordinary ponies. Sorry if this is the wrong section. And once again, I'm only here to ask this question. Also, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia were fillies when they became princesses and they're really close in age. Just thought that information might be helpful.
  5. Welp, my grandpa, the world's oldest brony, agreed to buy it on iTunes (I can't believe he still uses Apple...) if it leaves Netflix, so now it isn't a problem until I move out, which won't be until junior year of college.
  6. I know I won't get in trouble, but it's still stealing, and my uncle's girlfriend doesn't want to do that because it's too awesome to steal.
  7. I'm only on here to ask this question. I don't really keep up with My Little Pony news and my uncle's girlfriend, who just started watching My Little Pony, told me that it's leaving Netflix. I can't afford to go and buy all the episodes. (My grandparents pay for Netflix.) Are there any places where I can watch it for free LEGALLY? I prefer to watch stuff legally if I can. (Watching it on YouTube is not legal.) I might be able to convince my grandpa to buy all the episodes because we're watching them together, but I need a plan for what to do if he isn't willing to do that.
  8. It won't let me vote in the poll, but I'm 17. And my grandpa (who doesn't get on here but I think some people may find this interesting) is 65, which probably makes him the world's oldest brony.
  9. My dad said that disliking reading isn't something people grow out of usually.
  10. Did I sound rude? Sorry. I really had no idea what you were even saying... It's unusual for kids to read? But I've been staying up late reading since kindergarten!
  11. Turns out I remembered what she said wrong. She just said rude bronies. But I can tolerate a bit of that.
  12. You people won't be mean to me? My sister has encountered so many mean bronies that it totally ruined My Little Pony for her...
  13. Actually Princess Luna was only a filly. That and other things in the book make the thing about having a great amount of knowledge irrelevant. And I think you must've messed up really badly on that last sentence because I can't even understand it.
  14. I got The Journal of the Two Sisters for Christmas and I read the whole thing in just a few hours. On page 63 Princess Luna was talking like she really hates reading. This totally changes my entire perception of her. She was my favorite pony, but if she doesn't like reading she isn't my favorite anymore because I LOVE reading. Is it possible that she just dislikes research? It sounded like that could've been what she meant, and that would be fine. I hope I put this in the right place.
  15. Hi, my name is Melody. I probably won't be getting on here much. I'm just here to ask a few questions (well, just one question for now) and I figured I should also introduce myself.
