Star Wars fans... Are so daunting.
If you dislike the new stuff, you're a mindless drone who lives in your mother's basement with no life.
If you like the new stuff, you're a Disney shill who promotes how the corporation is killing the franchise.
Kenobi has become a warzone, between two sides. Both of the extremities. You can't debate with a SW fan; anything you say or defend will be met with baseless insults and demeaning. I like Kenobi, I think it's a strong banger where its good outweighs the bad, but apparently, I'm "part of the problem" because I don't spend 24/7 frothing at the mouth what a POS Disney.
Yes, Disney's an awful company. Not gonna taint my enjoyment though. Kenobi is a fine show, and I refuse to allow the constant, childish negativity to keep me from giving something a chance rather than assume the worst off the bat.

Is it legal for a non-charitable organization to receive donations? I've been thinking back to Legends of Everfree and Dance Magic, where the girls raised money to donate for the camp. Is that allowed, or are there some rule-breaking things here that would get them in trouble if not for the fact they're the main characters?

It's legal. Donations can be set up for any source so long as they are clear in their intentions and follow through. Sites like GoFundMe are very popular for that purpose, for example. There have been real life situations were activity centres or camps have been successfully funded through voluntary donations.

My Little Pony: A New Generation is a light-hearted, simplistic and serviceable new step into the franchise. Very fast paced, going through scene after scene without feeling rushed. It wants to tell the story while clearly keeping in mind its true target audience.
And there's nothing wrong with that. For tone and interest, it does its job.
The characters possess the spirit of the old Mane Six, albeit still with their own personalities to define them. The main protagonist, Sunny, inhabits traits of Twilight, Hitch shows traces of Applejack, Izzy exuding the bubbly nature of Pinkie, Zipp with Rainbow, and Pipp in Rarity.
I will not delve into spoilers, but I will say this, those worried about the future of franchise we all know and love: There's nothing to fear. The movie flawlessly captures the heart and soul of its predessecor while taking it into a new era. I look forward to where that path goes!
