  1. I don't know what it was about this request that made me stay up for 5 hours in order to finish it asap, but I'm glad I did it. It's a lovely concept and great OC from what I've seen. This turned into some of my best work and with your permission I'd love to have this in my portfolio! Enjoy!

    request Idea for an OC!

I have discovered that I HATE drawing ringed hair. However, I still love drawing batponies, so it balances out. Here you are!

    request Idea for an OC!

I am required by artist law to take this case. You will hear from me shortly with a response that I hope you will find unfathomable.
  4. @Ochre_Dust "Thank you, I'm glad you like it!" Markus let out an internal sigh of releif. He didn't know if he could ever get over that feeling of nervousness just before the reveal, or if he even wanted to. "Thank you again for the painting Markus, how have you been?" Markus smiled and said, "I've been a lot better since the city stopped harassing me over my cloud home. They said as long as it's on the outskirts of town then I'm free to have it, there's a team of pegasi coming later today to help me move. How about you? I see the shop is coming along nicely."
  5. @@Ochre_Dust Markus rounded the corner in time to see a pony place a gem on the counter and fly off. "Good morning, Markus! How goes the painting?" Peregrine said, jolting Markus from looking at the shiny object. Stupid bird genes. "Hey Peregrine, That's just why I'm here! I just finished it at sunrise. Presenting... 'New Lands'!" Markus then held up the painting, looking to Peregrine for the first outside opinion he'd have on this piece.
  6. Why thank you! My original plan was a 3d version, but seeing the time frame and knowing 3d wasn't my strong suit led me to other options. I'm glad you like it, it's definately one of my favorites!
  7. Same. I voted for @Melon Blitz initially, didn't think I'd get to the top 5 let alone 2nd place! Good job to everyone who competed!
  8. @Ochre_Dust @Yoshikupo As Markus approached the stand where Peregrine had been running her new business out of, he noticed she was talking with a customer. When she noticed him flying she gave him a smile, and in return he waved. Markus decided to land a couple blocks away and walk the rest of the way. It was nice out, and would give time for Peregrine finish up with her customer before he showed up. No need to be rude to her new customers!
  9. Sorry for the novel guys... Posted my skip update, let me know if you guys would actually want to see any of the paintings Markus does and I'll see if I can work on em. Also, second place in the art competition!! Yay!
  10. @Ochre_Dust With a flourish Markus signed his name on the painting. He sighed in contentment. It's true that starting out in this land was difficult, not ever having had to live by his own means in his life. Especially when he focused more on paintings than his own meals most times. He's lucky that some of the other colonists took pity on him and traded a bit of their food for his rushed paintings. Lucky as he is, this is the reason he now has no worry for his money. After the colony began to be more firmly established, and the bits were finally distributed, people started to look more towards the finer things. This included nice furniture, vases, and other decorations for their brand new homes. This meant being one of the few artists in the colony, and the only really advertised one, he was the go-to for anything decorative. This particular work wasn't for selling though. No the work that Markus had finished was for one of his new friends, Peregrine. Her shop began construction recently (although the painting was originally for celebrating her stall opening) and Markus thought she might like something to decorate the walls. The painting had turned out lovely, if not unusual. He had been unable to make his usual pallette of paints, so he had to be a little off with his color choice. The painting was of the colony. He had painted it from a cloud facing the sea, and only painted during sunset to add to its majesty. It was pretty awesome to say the least. "Now that the paint should be dry enough to move, I should see if Peregrine's at her shop." With that Markus took off in the direction of Peregrine's property.
  11. @Kolth    Thank you so much! (edit:idk the code but yeah!)
  12. GAH! Where's the art contest results! I need the new theme! My world is falling apart! D;

  13. I'm good with a time skip, any ideas on what we would set up as a main event? We could do something involving the other colony maybe
  14. @@Ochre_Dust I think it'd be a good idea to say we've been building your shop with npc ponies and it's nearly done. Good excuse for not being active...
  15. @Ochre_Dust We still have to look at Jellal's property, or we could start construction on your shop. Options options...
  16. Lol no @HCpony, I was just poking fun at your comment.
  17. Oh no all the entries were deleted! Now nobody can win!
  18. Dangit @Lucky Lass, I'm always like 10 behind you! Good job though, it's definately deserved.
  19. Markus sighed. "Finally, some peace and quiet." The commotion outside got a little heated but, after a few loud bangs of hoof-on-metal, the conflict sounded as if it was over. "I hope nobody got hurt. However, I can't see a fight with so many ponies ending well" Markus decided to leave it for the morning and FINALLY get some well needed rest.
  20. @ @Ochre_Dust (@AspenSwift and @Loud Opinion flying in or nearby your area) After their snack, Markus had helped a bit more on the property. He wasn't sure how long Peregrine had stayed to help, or if she even did, but it didn't really matter. By now Markus had accepted the fact that he wouldn't be moving a single muscle in his body the next morning, so he decided he might as well keep chopping. By the time he had noticed the sky darkening Markus had managed to chop a good number of the trees down, having to start a second lumber pile that had reached a decent size. "Wow, I didn't realize I had that in me. I could be a great lumberjack. The best lumberjack." Remembering the fading sunlight and the regret he'd feel tomorrow, Markus took off towards the small town in search of someplace to sleep tonight. A cloud couldn't cut it this time, not with today's exhaustion to consider. The now quite dark landscape wasn't a problem for Markus' literal eagle eyes. No color, but he could still see quite the distance in the dark. Using this, Markus began looking for a soft spot on the edge of the village for his tent.
  21. Sorry I haven't been active guys. I was busy trying to get my entry for the new art competitions done. Will try to catch up and post something soon.
  22. DONE! I just finished my entry and I'm pretty confident! So exited to see what other people put in too! This is going to be my favorite thing every month!
