  1. Anyone else feel like Cheerilee wasn't really doing her job this episode? Cause this has been in my mind since then.
  2. An idea I had earlier today replacing Timmy Turner from Fairly Oddparents with Trixie from MLP. Not to be confused with Trixie Tang also from FoP.
  3. Thanks! Feel free to use it as an avatar or whatever as well.
  4. Thanks. I still watch it from time to time myself.
  5. Whatcha mean? I'm quite fond of the Luna one as well
  6. Expressions seem easy up fount but there is a lot of little subtle things that you don't realize until you go to try and recreate them. Happy=Mouth turned up and sad=mount turned down; isn't always right. Sad faces can have raised cheeks like that of a smile, but have eyes that are contorted like disgust; congratulations, you made sorrow. Cartoon faces are almost ironically harder then realistic ones. Cartoon faces should be easy because they have so much more flexibility then a real face. The problem is know how to use the flexibility and sometimes remembering that you are, in fact, working with a face that NEEDS to be exaggerated to get the most effect. It's tough stuff.
  7. Expressions are commonly one of my weak points when drawing. My faces are often stiff for cartoon characters. So I spent some time today practicing squishing their mushy lil' faces a bit more then I normally do. I have determined I like making angry, displeased and otherwise disapproving faces for some reason.
  8. Its based from a screencap.
  9. Jenny Lineart Jenny Flat Color Jenny Lineless Art (Which is hard to see on a white background)
  10. Thank you all. Glad you like my suffs <3
  11. Thanks. Shes from the show Atomic Betty. It ran back in like 2005 or something; had 3 seasons.
  12. Started off just practicing with some Illustrator tools and ended up being one of my cleanest vectors ever.
  13. I hadn't seen one either, but I also wasn't looking for them haha. Well, If I do more of these. I'll definitely play with the idea of make ones that only colorblind people can see. so maybe look forward to that. Also, sorry Trixie is hiding from you... shes just shy. Also made an image to show the 'results' for those that have normal color vision.
  14. If you have normal color vision; say hi to Trixie — as her invisibility spell is no match for you. If you have deuteranopia or protanopia; then Trixie's Great and Powerful invisibility spell worked! If you happen to have tritanopia, then you can see through Trixie's spell better then anypony else! This is the first Ishihara color test I have ever made, I feel alright with the results but at the same time I feel there is plenty of room to improve. Found color matching in colorblind mode to be difficult. Best viewed from some distance.
  15. Was playing around with things and this happened.
  16. A concept sketch of a thought I had a few days ago. If you have seen or know of the Netflix series "Peaky Blinders" then you should get the gist.
  17. Inspired by the song 'Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star)' from Steven Universe.
  18. Entries will be accepted until January 1, 2016; after that date, we will accept no new submissions.

Alright, too curious not to ask a third question when I read this one. What was that test like?

Hay Mr. Jenkins. I'm currently going to school for graphic design. However I'd ultimately I'd like to do most of my work in illustration and/or as a concept artist. That said, any encouraging words or tips for anyone planning a progress down this career path? Anything you wish someone had told you when you had started out perhaps?
  21. I'm almost certain that charity of any sort will be fine. I believe anything that falls under acts of kindness will stay true to the theme. But I'm not a judge of this contest sooo.. yup.
  22. I'd say you're on the right track. I'm not familiar with the software you use here but if there is a way to just the lines width throughout the stroke it can do a lot to help with making the piece more dynamic and natural looking. That would be the one major 'flaw' i'd say you could work on. But for starting out you are doing darn fine. Also tails are created with devils magic. I hate doing tails. Manes sometimes too, but tales... every time.
  23. More Pixel Wavelength love, in pointy form. Don't blame me if she blends in. PW is a master of camouflage... apparently.
