Are the Equestria Girl Really All That Human?

I think that even though they are in the 'human world', the creators of the movies want to keep the distinctive pony colors and cutie marks. In fact, the human world may just be something to add a bit of spice to the original mlp series, since there's not much difference between the two worlds other than there are no horns, wings, and they're definitely not ponies. -
