I wanted to be an artist ever since I was a child. I would say about 5 years old. I filled up a lot of sketch books, drew lots of pictures, blank paper turned to doodles and drawings quickly. I tried learning styles and techniques, but none are good. I'm great with color, but not form.
Drawing being a natural gift is a common misconception! All artists have to work to get to the ability that they are at. An art style is slow to develop, and you won't see a lot of change all at once. When they say keep practicing, that's what you have to do.
