Dark Façade smiled at the ponies that came through the portal. He knew what was coming. He waited, and then watched as party bomb exploded over everything. Façade slipped away, and walked up to the tip of the cliff. He found a nice looking rock and leaned against it. Façade pulled out his Elements of Disharmony Book and pulled off the fake cover. The the only difference between the fake title and real one was only three letters. He sighed and continued on Chapter 13, Why We Have Friends.

Ryoki broke a window of a nearby car and had the dealers get in it. "Go to the safe house! Pronto!" And then Ryoki returned to battle, Ryoki pulled out the keys to his dropship. "We're gonna need evac." And Ryoki jumped back into the carnage with both of his double laser pistols blazing, he smashed the face of one guard and then shot another in the throat. Then Ryoki called his dropship. He heard the familiar turbothrusters of his dropship and opened the back door. He shouted to the others "Get on! Reinforcements are coming, and they might have mechs! Evac! Now! Corny! Fists! Steamy! Get on!" And with that Ryoki hopped in the pilots chair, ready to set off wherever he would need to go, once Erri'pony got on board.

Ryoki face hoofed. "Alright, We are dropping into New Canterlot, we shall be boarding the Crystal Express that is going straight to Sombra's Castle from the side using the magnetic hoof boots I brought for you guys. The goggles are for when Shadow breathes his fog. If you get it in your eyes, you go blind. It's also safe to has a a portable air filter, I have several spares that you can use. The target is a set of blueprints, and we are also meeting up with several contacts and then all of us shall get off the train. Marion should be here soon so we can go."

Ryoki glanced at Shadow's bags and shrugged at him. "I've got my visor, those act like goggles, so no worries here. Dark Heart, you got your's, right? Agh! Where's Marion?" Ryoki looked at his compatriots and muttered to himself, "May us have speed and skill, to take upon whatever challenges we face."

Ryoki surveyed the carnage that surrounded him, and was dismayed. 'How many of these ponies where innocent? Just having to die because they were on the wrong side? His guts twisted as he walk up to the mayor. He shoved him against a wall, and Ryoki lifted the mayor's squealing form against the wall. Then he got in the mayor's face and asked him, "where are the keys?" Conveniently the idiot had the keys, and Ryoki unlocked the dealers, and started to get them to safety when a hotel exploded. He muttered, "darn cyborgs." And rushed the dealer to a side alley where Kirone was, and yelled at her to cover them.

"Yes it is, Dark Heart, get yourself strapped in Marion should be here any moment. We have two contacts on the train, hopefully we can get them out alright with the blueprints." Ryoki strapped himself to his seat. "Dark Heart, ever gone skydiving? Really fun, but more difficult to land if you don't have a parachute. Luckily for us, we can Shadow Jaunt or teleport, so we shall not need parachutes." Ryoki heard the jet engines turn on. "Damn it, where's Marion?"

Ryoki found Shadow napping in the dropship. He then signaled for the pilots to get the ship running. Ryoki then had the intercom call Marion and Dark Heart. He smiled as he pulled on his black clothe armor and pulled his black cowl over his face obscuring almost all his features save his eyes. Ryoki made sure his grappling hooks were working, then he activated his hook blades to make sure they worked, and finally activated the laser induced metal of the blades themselves. After deactivating the blades and checking the rest of his gear. Ryoki decided to join Shadow in napping. For it was about to be show time.

Ryoki smiled at every pony in the room. "Alrigh Erri'pony! Gear up. We leave in twenty minutes." Ryoki left the map room to grab his gear and headed to the hanger where the dropship was located. He smiled. It sure paid off to live in a volcano. He signaled to the pilots who where playing cards to let him join their last game. He then proceeded to wait and play cards until the others showed up.

"We are going to be boarding the train from the side. I have several sets of magnetic hoof boards for all of you to use. We only have one shot at this, so we're going to have to be quick." Ryoki noticed Shadow leaving and finally said "silenced weaponry only. We are not alerting the enemy to our presence. We must remain overt in this entire process or risk having a squadron of shadow priests, the warrior kind, on our tails. We shall have to jaunt or teleport off the train to safe houses. There we shall lay low for 72 hours, then return to monastery here. Erri'pony understand?"

Ryoki looked at the ponies in the Map room, and pointed a main track running through the heart of New Canterlot. He smiled and said "this is where we shall strike. I have organized a dropship to land up near where we shall board the train. The cargo is a set of blueprints for some sort of reactor or such thing. The only other things I know is that the Crystal Empire has supplies a contingent of guards and mages on the train. We are to get in, grab the blueprints, and get out. Any questions?"

Façade smiled at Fuchowa. "Of course your dark holiness. But remember, you're trying to put together a tea of anti-Harmony, and therefore you're going to find a lot of messed up ponies. And actually, I smoothed things over so they can't take action against us. I know what I'm doing. I practically saved one of them, so they can't interfere." Façade said very coldly. He wondering if he was ever wise to take up this bargain. He was tired of alicorns. Period. He wondered if Missklang could put them all in a box together. That would surely make thing interesting.

After a rather enjoyable nap, Ryoki woke up, and checked the time. It was 16:33. "Ah yes, the train assault shall begin soon. Hope this one goes well." Ryoki muttered to himself as he jaunted to the kitchen. Coffee, he decided, was a rare thing these days, Ryoki grinned as he made himself some caffeinated coffee and then mixed his favorite caffeinated tea into it. Ryoki picked up a newspaper on the table and strolled over to the map room. He examined the route and the intel Black Heart had gotten, until he formulated a plan. He grinned. He was going to have a little fun with the 'ruffians', as they were now referred to, on this raid. Ryoki continued to study the maps and writing te down on a pad of paper notes regarding his plan. It was almost meeting time. Ryoki drank another sip of the super caffeinated drink.

"Marion's awake, Dragonface is still at base, let's get back there. I think it's time to formulate the full plan." Ryoki smiled and then asked "I think I figured out how to shadow jaunt. Let's see, Black Heart. I'm going to teach you a rudimentary spell that every pony can use if they are part of our league, note this different from shadow magic, friendship magic, ki, or whatever shite you know of. Simply imagine the place you want to go that you've been to before many times, and step on a shadow. Now the trick is to relax and let go of reality. See you there." Ryoki said to her pleasantly, before falling into the shadows and reappearing in training room to see Marion awake and fine. "Good to see you Marion, made a little trip to collect some news and found something interesting. Join me in the map room at oh, say 17:00? See ya." And he fell backwards into the shadow, letting go of everything he knew, to appear in his private quarters. Ryoki decided a cat nap was in order. And with that he fell asleep.

Ryoki grinned as he jumped off the building, pulling on his black hood and he landed in the crowd. Ryoki yelled to Armored, "Pull on your gas mask! I'm lightin' up this joint! And as he said that, he threw down a bottle of firecracker devil, a concoction that burned the eyes and gave you a sense of fear like no other. He smiled as he activated his scythe-like "hook" blades mounted on his forehooves and sliced a guard up and down another. "Pathetic idiots" he muttered as he attacked another guard.

"Alright, Black Heart, see that officer over there, the train transit one? I need his schedule of the train routes, to see exactly where we need to be so we are in and out of that train in no time, tell me where the train is coming from and going to. And the Expected Time of Arrival, we need to keep the damage as minimal as possible to keep from anypony from suspecting us. Can you do it?" Ryoki toke another sip of the worthless coffee, glad that it was some of the best stuff he'd had in a while. Less like water and more like coffee.

Ryoki woke up, stood up and saw that he had survived the test. And then he saw Marion, who eyes had become a purple color and he was muttering incoherently. Ryoki checked the clock on the wall, 56 hours until showtime. Ryoki looked at the other ponies and smiled. Hey, you two, let's go get some food. I'm starving up in here! Motioning to a guard, Ryoki then told him to let him to keep an eye on Marion, and put an inhibitor ring on him if he went nuts, and then lock the door. Then he activated the teleporter and teleported to Pony Joe's.

Ryoki looked about the shadowy version of the world, and then he saw it, all of the Shadowmancers, being slaughtered left and right, and then it quickly fast forwarded to where he was alone, on the execution stand, killing the ponies he called friends. Ryoki wanted to scream, but he could not, he wanted to cry, but no tears came. Ryoki then saw it, he was in the Royal throne room with Sombra, attacking when Celestia burst into the room, for a moment he rejoiced, until Celestia's mane turned into a purple black blaze, and then he ran. Ryoki had never been so scared in his life. He ran and ran until he couldn't run no more. Then he screamed. All of their work, swept away, meaningless. All those lives spent... Then Ryoki realized something. This shall not happen. Ryoki turned to the demonized Celestia and roared, "Fear shall never hold me!" And charged at the foe before him

"What is happening right now is that Marion here is going to using a shadow spell that makes you see your worst fear, I shall go first due to safety reasons, I'd rather die than you. You must be able to master your fear or you become a mindless killing machine, in which the others here will kill. After me, it will be you two 'ruffians' next. Then afterwords we are going to raid a train in New Canterlot. Marion when you're ready, start the spell." Ryoki steeled himself for what would happen next.

"Our worst fears must not govern us. Once, we are all done here, we go after that train. It's been a while since we've been in New Canterlot, anyways." Ryoki prepped himself. Perform the spell on me, it's effects are only mind influencing. If I don't come back to my senses, you know what to do. Ryoki piled his weaponry on a nearby table, and then moved to the center of the training area. "Also, reprimand the Halfblood for being late, but be easy on him. Perform the spell, Marion."

"Ruffians they may be. But we need new shadowmancers, and we don't have the luxury of trying to wait, Sombra's secret police force have some new tech they're going to implement, and they are hiring new police tanks. Tanks!? Who hires tanks?" Ryoki then said, "Marion, we're going to do some intensive training. I found a way to up our game. You're familiar with shadow magic, correct?" Ryoki paced around the modified underground monastery. He then smiled, there is going to be a train, and we are going to have to take out the drivers and guards and steal the cargo of the train." Ryoki then muttered impatiently, "where are those ruffians?" as he waited for the others that were to meet them.

Back when Celestia and Luna had ruled, Sombra had been but a mere shadow, ruling over the Northern Empire, now it was known as the Old Empire. Now Sombra's shadow ruled over the entire land of Equestria. He had challenged might of Equestria, and had won. Sealing away Celestia in a prison made of Sunfire. Luna had been tainted by the dark magics Sombra commanded, becoming his head "priestess". Sombra now resides in the city of New Canterlot, a technopolis of aristocrats and corrupted filth. But in the shadow of the Shadow King, a League of warriors: assassins, hackers, and other who live outside the law. The Shadowmancer's League. And their one goal is to topple the evil monarch and his power over all ponies. He smiled nonetheless less, and then replied "if you consider being turned into a thestral, dealing with the chaotic forces of nature known as Missklang, having to solve 12 supposedly unsolved cubes, and saving a dying unicorn a play date, then I'll invite you next time, too. I'm sure Missklang would love you, and hug you too." And then asked "so where are we heading?"
