    Why do people hate Spike so much? I think he's one of the few characters that isn't based upon a stereotype and has very unique characteristics. He is one of the most realistic characters in the show. I just don't see the why he is hated so much.

      He's Hum Drum, his character is built for the short end of the stick (jk). Despite his realism, I never have been a fan of immature or childish anything, and that is what spike emulates to me. Sure he has a irreplaceable role in the show and provides lessons that we all can learn from, but he isn't a character I can stand behind.
