@Blitz Boom “Yes, such skills could be quite useful,” Marcus replied to the Earth Pony. Already ideas were swirling around in his head about the uses of well applied explosions, and if the craft had evolved from the mediocre displays he had seen in the time before The Forgotten One had taken him, it could be a great tactical advantage to have an expert in such things with them. “What do we call you?” “Name’s O’Powder sir, but you can call me Keg,” the Earth Pony responded, raising his hat off of his head slightly as a polite gesture while introducing himself. Under his hat, he might not have much hair, but he still had his manners. “Welcome to our team Sir Keg. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance,” Marcus said, guessing that such mannerisms and skills would indicate that he may be of the upper class. “Does anyone else have any particular skill sets we’ve yet to add to our team?” Marcus says, now addressing the room again. Then, turning his head slightly to look toward Hunter and Brute Force, he adds, “Any suggestions are welcome, since I am unfamiliar with this modern world.”

@Blitz Boom (Continued from page 278) “I would be honored to have you join me for a mission. I know not of this Merc Assault of which you speak. I have been away for a very long time,” Marcus responded. She didn’t seem to be a trusting pony, but maybe he could earn her trust somehow. “As for the rest of our team,” he says, turning to face Hunter, “we’ll need to cover all possibilities as we’ve yet to select a mission. It would be wise to include someone specializing in long range attacks, and another who is good with close to midrange weapons. I see by your bow, fox, that you may be able to fill the long range role, depending on your aim. Maybe a demonst-” Hunter took his bow off his shoulder quickly and fired an arrow before Marcus could finish his sentence. The arrow cut the wick off a burning candle at the far end of the long table, which then flew to the side and hit the end of a black Earth Pony’s cigar, lighting it. The arrow itself struck an apple as another pony was taking a bite of it. “Any questions?” Though Hunter’s question was rhetorical, the Earth Pony spoke up in an Irish accent. “I’ve got one. First of all, thanks for the light, but I need to know, mister Silvermane, do you have any use for a powderman?” Marcus, not knowing this more recent but slightly dated term for an explosives expert, turned back to Brute Force and asked quietly, “What’s a powderman?”

@Blitz Boom @Dji “Anyway, I’m here because I was wondering how the restoration of the clock tower was going. It’s an important landmark that-” Celestia was interrupted by the echo of a shriek in the castle. “What was that? Is somepony else here?” she asked as she took a few steps in the direction of the noise. @Blitz Boom @Dji @Moonlit “I’m on my way here now. Twilight and Last will manage to slow me down, but I need you, Serenade, to go out there and talk to Aurora. Tell Cherish to hide herself. I can’t be allowed to see her here. Keep in mind that I won’t yet know that you’re a siren. Can you do that for me?” Celestia knew they would find a way to let Twilight know who was who between Aurora and Serenade, whose Pegasus form had not yet been seen by Twilight, since she had already seen it happen. @Blitz Boom Charlie’s crackling subsided a little, but not completely. “This is so much fun, exploring new places. It’s so much better than seeing what you want to see or what others want to see in the Realm of Dreams.”

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit “I wonder, how did you come to live in Equestria, Serenade? What events brought you here?” @Blitz Boom @Dji “To be honest,” Celestia says before looking over her shoulder as if to make sure nobody else was listening, then, leaning in and putting a hoove up to say quietly into Twilight’s ear, although not in a whisper, “I’ve gotten lost in my own castle a couple times myself.” @Blitz Boom “I’m so excited!!! I can’t wait to explore! To run! To be free!” Charlie was practically bursting with excitement. Actually, that was quite literal, as the stick started to crackle with small sparks. The stick might not hold up much longer if Charlie got any more excited. Hopefully they would be at the castle soon.

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit “Serenade has been living amongst ponies her entire life, even before I learned of her. Any revelations of her true nature might be met with hostility, so it is best to keep her hidden until such a time that the populace will likely be calm and understanding. As it stands now, there is enough tension with the acceptance of reformed changelings that introducing a Siren to the public could cause a panic,” Luna informed Cherish. “I believe you have too little faith in the ponies of Equestria,” Celestia said calmly. “Everypony is told stories about the Windigoes every year when they’re but foals. Sirens and Windigoes closely resemble each other in form and function. If her revelation is not well timed, it could be a catastrophe, and you know as well as I that we’ve had enough of those already.” When Serenade took the potion out of Luna’s magic aura, it was still hot as she had just removed it from the flame. It would burn going down, but the transformation should begin soon after. @Blitz Boom @Dji Looking concerned, the newly arrived Celestia said to Last, “You should get some rest Last. You can’t get any better if you don’t give it a chance to heal.” @Blitz Boom “There was a bit of floaty stuff, but other than that she seemed normal. Although, I don’t quite have an understanding of what ‘normal’ is yet, so I couldn’t say for sure.”

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit @Dji my post is going to be delayed a bit longer. After the events of yesterday involving a misbehaving dog, an accidentally locked door, a ladder, and a second story window, I need to just relax tonight. I might change my mind and post later, but I’ll try to get a post in Tuesday if I don’t.

@Blitz Boom As Celestia and the others left Last’s sight, the front door opened to reveal who else but Celestia herself, although, she wasn’t in her pajamas this time. “Hello, Last. Is Princess Twilight available?” the new Celestia asked. She was calm and seemed to be in a good mood. @Dji @Moonlit @Blitz Boom “We just need to stay hidden. It’s nothing to worry about, it’s just that the other me is here and I don’t know what would happen if we ran into each other because I don’t remember meeting myself.” Celestia seemed a little worried, but she was doing her best to hide it. The last thing they needed right now was to create some sort of paradox. “It needs about ten minutes over a flame,” Luna said to Twilight. Just then, Celestia walked in. “Twilight, you’re needed at the door. The other me is here, and you can’t let me know that any of us are here.” Luna put the mixture over a burner set on a low flame. It smelled like the ocean, but at the same time there was a scent much like that of Cloudsdale. “Is there anything I can do-” “No! You’re at the castle right now. If I see you here now, I’ll start wondering what’s going on, especially if I go back and find that you really are still back at the castle.” @Blitz Boom “At first, I thought I heard something, so I asked if anyone was there. Then, I heard a voice repeating back everything I said and we went back and forth for a bit until Ziggy and Serenade showed up, and a ghost named Cherish. Ziggy was hurt, we all left the castle, met a Princess, hid Serenade in a cart, then brought Ziggy to the hospital.” Charlie was extremely excited about everything that happened, and was clearly not very good at telling stories. At least all the major details were there, for the most part. “If every day is an adventure like this was, then I can’t wait to have my own body!”

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit Celestia seemed really calm about the whole situation. That is until she made a sudden realization. “We must hurry to the library. I should be here soon. Last, you stay here, and not a word of any of this. Cherish, Serenade, you stay with me.” Celestia would then start toward the library at a hurried pace. @Dji “I’ll measure as I go. We’ll also need sea salt, phoenix ash, and morning dew.” Luna started hurriedly yet carefully mixing portions of the ingredients into one of the empty beakers taken from one of the shelves. As she poured liquid ingredients, she measured some others in test tubes and ground the dry ingredients with a mortar and pestle. It was really a sight to see. Occasionally she would levitate something closer to her eye to inspect it, to see if the dry ingredients were ground well enough or to see if the liquid ingredients appeared to be the right color when mixed. @Blitz Boom “I’ve been helping to heal Ziggy’s leg, so I don’t know if I can leave yet,” Charlie said, unsure and turning to the doctor, seemingly looking for an answer, but before she could respond, Dr.Xeno chimed in. “After a whole night of healing with your help, I think her leg should be almost completely reconnected, though I believe some parts may still be a bit weak. She’ll be able to heal the rest of the way on her own. Honestly though, if you’re getting a new body for yourself, would you mind bringing the stick you’re in back to me? It would be a great sample for my research.” Everwood always fascinated Miles. Even before he had found out about the magical uses of it, he was curious to find out why it had a tendency to short out changeling magic. Over the years he had learned a great deal about it, but there were still many mysteries about the wood that he had yet to solve.

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit Celestia used her magic to stop the moving objects, though a few may have slipped her grasp. “Calm down little one, nopony’s going to hurt you,” she said in a calm and gentle voice. Her face had a peaceful look to it, like a mother would have when talking to her own foal. @Dji “We’ll need feunugreek, cedar sap, wild garlic, and a Pegasus feather, to start. That and of course water, obviously.” She had added in the bit about water because she hadn’t mentioned it, but it was the base ingredient for many potions anyway, so it didn’t seem that important. “We must make haste. If we have indeed been brought through time, it must be of great importance. If we do not act quickly, I fear we will not be prepared when the moment comes for which we were brought here.” @Blitz Boom “What a coincidence! We were just talking about you,” Charlie said, genuinely surprised at her presence. Miles seemed unfazed by the appearance of this demonic looking unicorn. His headache had just passed, mostly, and he wasn’t about to start doing any hard thinking. He just looked in her general direction, not staring, but his eyes were neither focused on her nor darting from one thing to the next. “If I were judged solely on my appearance, I doubt I would even be here, receiving treatment. I’m sure she means us no harm.” In the condition he was in, one might question his judgment, but what he said was true. He was a black changeling after all, and would stand out even amongst others of his kind since Chrysalis was overthrown.

@Blitz Boom Quick recap: The night the fight happened, Vivid was given time to heal, during which there were dream adventures which helped awaken Doctor Miles Xeno. After some time, they awoke, Vivid stashed Charlie in the castle and left to finish her work (I think). At this point, the following day may have already started. Ziggy and Serenade end up going through a temporal portal, ending up in the castle when Charlie is there. They end up leaving the castle with Cherish after Ziggy gets hurt. I believe this lines up with the time Last and Twilight were talking (the day after the fight, unless I’m wrong), they meet up, and Ziggy is dropped off at the hospital, where Dr.Xeno is already being treated. The time is now two days after the big fight against The Forgotten One, at least for Ziggy, Charlie, and Miles. I suspect Vivid won’t be very happy about having to look for Charlie, but a deal is a deal, and a stick can’t go anywhere on its own.

@Blitz Boom “...unless Vivid were already looking for them, in which case, would she be able to find them? The old castle wasn’t too far from town, so it wasn’t impossible.” hint, hint Also, I hope to start bringing back my other characters soon, but currently, things are a bit hectic. My schedule keeps changing, both at work and at home. I was almost not going to post today because of how crazy today was, but I’m glad I found the motivation.

@Blitz Boom @Dji @Moonlit “I believe it’s best that you stay here,” Celestia said calmly to the spirit. It was as if she had seen spirits before, she was unafraid. Luna followed Twilight out of the room, it was important that they complete the potion quickly. “Have we met before, or am I mistaken?” Celestia thought she remembered a pony that looked a lot like Cherish from back when the old castle was still standing, but there was a chance it could have been somepony else. @Blitz Boom “I don’t know if we’re related to the Evergrown, but my kind have never gained bodies before. I’ll be the first. There’s a pointy pony helping me out with that,” Charlie then paused. “Those ones are called unicorns, right?” Charlie mispronounced ‘unicorns,’ pronouncing the ‘un’ part like the prefix. They were of course talking about Vivid, who was working on the changeling body when they last spoke. Charlie needed to get back to the castle, unless Vivid were already looking for them, in which case, would she be able to find them? The old castle wasn’t too far from town, so it wasn’t impossible.

I know this may be a bit harsh, but if you can’t be yourself around your parents, you need to get away from them. I understand that in their eyes, they’re just trying to make sure you can get into heaven, but what they’re really doing is forcing their beliefs on you. You need to take control of your own life.

@Blitz Boom “Although it’s very possible, I don’t know wether they do or not. Never in my three hundred years in that forest have they shown any signs of it. In our grove, we would make space so that others could reach the sunlight, but the other trees would tower over each other, casting their saplings in shade.” Charlie’s voice had changed from its usual gender neutral to a slightly more feminine voice, though the transition wasn’t extreme enough to sound unnatural. “I need to find my seeds and make sure they’re okay. I hope they survived my explosion. I don’t think I could bear it if I had hurt them in some way. Maybe once I have a body I can go find them and make sure they’re planted in good soil. Actually, I’ll make it my mission.” @Blitz Boom @Moonlit @Dji “Last Stand, that is enough! If my sister believed her to be a threat, she would have never allowed her to remain in Ponyville. I trust my sister’s judgment, as should you.” Celestia was clearly unhappy with the tone that Last had when talking to the siren, but her voice still managed to keep its elegance despite her anger. “Perhaps we should go to your supplies and see what you possess, that we shall make an Elixir for Serenade.” Luna’s best idea to defuse the situation was to simplify it. With less princesses in the room, Last could calm down, and with the potion, Serenade could be made to look less threatening, which would also lower some of the tension.

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit @Dji “Twilight, we’ll need to brew a transformation potion. Would you have the proper supplies for this task?” Luna knew well that Twilight kept her potion making supplies well stocked, but there was a small chance that her studies would leave her short hooved of a few ingredients, but it was very unlikely. What Luna didn’t know, is that her future self had already prescribed Serenade with a transformation potion as a temporary solution until she could replace the necklace. @Blitz Boom Dr. Xeno didn’t respond to the nurse, as he was still dealing with a terrible headache. Both of his hooves were on his head, and his eyes were closed tightly. “Technically, a ghost is just the spirit of something that was once a living thing, so in that effect, I am a ghost, but it’s also true that I used to be a tree,” Charlie added.

@Blitz Boom @Dji @Moonlit I’m okay with putting the princesses on pause for now if everyone else is. I honestly haven’t been on here often lately, so it might do me some good to take a short break anyway. I may post here and there for the one on one RPs with @Blitz Boom, but for now it will be good to take some of the pressure off. I’ve been trying to straighten out some things in my own life lately, like I may have said before. In fact, I just paid off my only credit card and cut it up on Thursday, using money that was meant for something else which I’ll have to save for instead, but it’s still an improvement. Now I don’t have to pay all that interest, nor do I have to worry that I’ll just end up using the card again and perpetuating the problem. There’s still more to do, but I’m on the right track, so I don’t want to stop now. @Moonlit Remember that miracles are always possible. My father was in a coma for two months, and we were told that he likely wouldn’t wake from it, and even if he did, he most likely would never walk again. Now he’s on the treadmill almost every morning. My mother is also a cancer survivor. You can’t let yourself lose hope, nor can you let them lose hope. Even if it’s all for naught, at least you’ll both be smiling for whatever time you have left together.

@Blitz Boom @Moonlit @Dji “We’re afraid We may not have taken your magic into account. The fault is Ours,” Luna said, putting a hoof on her chest to indicate she was referring to herself. Celestia then said to her, “You’re using the royal ‘We’ again,” and to the others she assured them, “The Traveller is not a threat, or at least he hasn’t proven himself to be. His methods may be a bit... unusual, but his actions are always for the greater good.” Luna was slightly nervous about altering the past, but the only sign of it was that she let herself slip and used the royal “We” again. Celestia, knowing her sister all too well, kept her composure, despite being woken from a sound sleep. She had to be strong for her sister. Princess Luna thought for a moment about the necklace. “Even with a powerful flow of magic, I’m surprised that the necklace only lasted two days.”

@Dji “Rich text” is text with special formatting code that defines things such as font size, color, bold letters, and more. So basically the issue is that I’m copying text of a different size from my notepad, and it’s staying that size when I paste it.

I’m occasionally going to have issues with font size because now everything wants to paste as “rich text” which really messes with the format.
