"It depends really." Jenna said "If the faster healing is permanent thing, I don't see why you wouldn't have my resistance to illnesses too since they are related." "But I doubt you would enjoy it any more than you normally do, since things should still taste the same."  

Jenna shrugged "No Idea." "But whatever it is, it somehow makes the surrounding area dark." she seemed thoughtful, though it was clear she was still worried "I wonder if this is some kind of multiverse thing, or if this is related to religion or something else supernatural." "Regardless, that really looks like a portal of some kind."

"In human form? I could, but your mouth is better with cooked meat." Jenna answered, not fully sure if that was what Oliver asked, "That and the fact that it would make blending in hard if I ate raw meat in public." she dug a hole and put the leftovers there, burying them.

Jenna gestured Oliver to follow and made her way to the hallway, and it seemed that everyone had gathered into the cafeteria that was near "Oh, the TV, of course." she muttered. She then went to look in, and as she had expected, on the TV there was news, and it was showing what Oliver and Jenna had just seen, just from different perspective, since the news copter was flying. From this perspective it could be seen that the darkness that had suddenly taken over in the video they had watched wasn't just the forest getting darker, as it seemed that even the sky above the portal thing was dark as night, even though it was bright day everywhere around it.

"Depends on the meat really, not all raw meat makes humans sick." Jenna pointed out "But that's beside the point." she ate some and then got up, there was only bones and skin left from the deer. She licked the surroundings of her mouth from blood "We have evolved to eat raw meat, so it's what I eat when I can."

"The species you're talking about may be a subspecies of them, like with Wyverns, my kind hasn't really interacted with our more magical cousins in millenniums besides maybe some possible fights between individuals, so I don't know what they look like other than a vague description and I have no information on their current situation, but as far as I could gather from few texts I found, they were carnivores like my kind and weren't specialized to any certain type of magic." Ruby explained "But it is possible they would have evolved to be vegetarian at some point, after all, Equestrian dragons eat rocks." 

"I don't disagree with your point about my kinds expansion, and most of do realize our way of life's effect on our spread, but the thing is, we don't care, in fact, I'm sure that if you managed to ask my kind about it, most would say it would be great if they were the last one of our kind." "I of course disagree with most of my kind on this one, as I realize why our kind disappearing would be unwanted end result, but luckily we are still growing, if bit slowly." 

"And for your question, the answer is no, sure the bird I'm travelling with claims he cares about me, he knows the truth, but I don't believe it to anything more than wanting to keep our mutually benefiting partnership alive."

Nada was thoughtful for a second "I'd say it makes sense, though I have to also point out that I know nothing about this kind of things,so my opinion isn't backed by anything more than what you said." she hadn't studied animals ever in any way so all she knew about them was based on experience, and this was one of the things she had no experience on.

"But what is known is that it all came crashing down, most likely due to our natural greed, and with time that species separated to three different species, my kind, violent and powerful variant that stopped using magic and relies more on strength and intelligence, other kind that though being called dragons too, are quite the opposite, as they are long wingless creatures that are highly magical and peace loving (eastern dragons), and last and least, Wyverns, not much is known about their current lifestyle, but they once shared territory with my kind, they are malformed, weaker subspecies of my kind, and they were chased away by us long before I hatched." 

"And when it comes to family....well, there's no fathers, as females just choose a fitting partner and when they're done they get either killed or chased away, how they are chosen and what happens to them depends on the female, as like in every species, there's different individuals. And for mothers..the hatchling will be taken care of until they are old enough to hunt, then they get chased off the mother's territory, and usually that's the last time they see each other, but then there's situations like mine, where the one attacks the other for reason or another." 

Ruby just ignored the look Leviathan gave, making it pretty clear that she ignored it on purpose, as she didn't feel the need to repeat telling about her distaste for what she thought to be pity. She wasn't entirely sure why she told what she told, since she didn't really care for conversations, but she figured it was because she finally had a change to boast about her kind without worrying about her cover being blown.

Nada just nodded in agreement to Nerzei, she could tell it was a joke but it was probably true, one of the reason for her memory trouble could be the fact she was over 1000 years old.

"Doesn't every creature become smarter with time?" she asked, it would only makes sense right? since older you are, more you have learned "Though I find it interesting there's a place that they only learn about when they get older."

"If you haven't noticed, I eat cooked meat in my human form, I have to blend in after all." Jenna pointed out while looking at Oliver her head upside down, before returning to her own meal, refusing the offer.

"I'd say you shouldn't but I know that wouldn't help." Jenna said, without clear emotion "But don't say you wouldn't be any help, we don't know yet what it was we saw, as far as we know they could be scared of dogs." her tone indicated she was making a joke, but it was clear she didn't actually think it was a funny one, though that probably wasn't surprising considering the topic. She then seemed to realize something an looked towards where the classes were "Shouldn't the bell have rang already?" 

"It tastes better for you." Jenna pointed out between her eating "And the temperature change is too tiny for me to notice in this form, I could eat a burning log without knowing it's on fire, normal fire that is, I could feel dragon fire, but it still wouldn't burn me."

Jenna just shrugged "I'm guessing military will start evacuating people soon enough, that would explain why they were preparing the shelters, what we saw would actually explain everything the militaries of the world have done." she looked at her hand, a strip of ground went up her leg to her hand and was moving around her hand like it was alive "I'm not going to lock myself into a bunker, that I know." she made the strip of ground slither from her hand to hand like a snake "So I guess I'll just sit down and watch the word end." it was clear she was still anxious, but it seemed that as the reality sank in, she got calmer "I really see no other choice than try to do something, either we lose, in which case I'd rather go down fighting than sitting underground, or we can actually do something, and hiding would make losing more likely."  the strip suddenly launched forward and piece of it separated, flying like and arrow and sticking to the ground, the strip that was left around Jenna lowered back into the ground like it had never existed.

It may take until weekend before I post, I have trouble focusing for some reason so I have hard time coming up with good answer. so sorry about that 

"Prefer isn't necessary the right term." Jenna said before sinking her teeth into her own food "It's just that cooking doesn't add anything for me, especially in this form, so it's just waste of time." "That and the pieces you need to make to cook something are too small for me to bite into." there was also the smell of freshly killed prey and many other details but she didn't want to go too much in them.

"I don't think it matters what we do." Jenna said staring towards the field "Whatever came out of that thing was huge in numbers, and as far as we know, they are still coming." "So, it's very likely that regardless of where we are, they will reach it eventually." luckily even when anxious, Jenna was level-headed and thus able to think clearly.

"Did you really doubt it even for a moment?" Jenna asked slightly humorously while moving between Oliver and the deer in a way that Oliver wouldn't be able see the carcass when she would eat it, she didn't want to ruin Oliver's appetite after all, though if he for some reason really wanted to see a deer being eaten, Jenna wouldn't stop him from walking around her to look. She looked towards Oliver until the deer leg was ready and started eating when Oliver did, if Oliver tried to offer piece of the leg to Jenna at any point, she would refuse the offer and say something along the lines of, 'cooking meat is human thing.'. 

Jenna shrugged "I don't know." "I don't think even I could do much to something like that, i have my limits too." her usual tough demeanor was breaking and she started to act anxious, she may have had powers and great skill, but she was just a human like everyone else. "I don't even know what that is."

Ruby said as response to Leviathan's short story "It's one of those things I simply don't understand." even though it was clear she looked down such practices, she was being bit less rude about it "I understand the concept of power in numbers, and I acknowledge that it helps to increase the total size of a species better than my kinds system, but I don't see why you would become so close with someone who's ultimately a competitor." This was one of things that separated Ruby from most of her kind, even though she believed her kind and their ways to be superior, she could acknowledge the advantages of the lesser things. "Then if we add such things as love and friendship, it becomes a weakness, I would know, I exploit such feelings all the time."

Been working on this. Got a little bit bigger map, but I wanted to design a more immediate area of our .... vicinity. Just a very quick sketch design at work tbh at this point so it's not as well thought out, I will need to polish it out.

Hoping to get it up soon so you can review and implement any changed you'd want. Don't mind random stuff in background, 'tis just a sticky note. And it is a VERY rough sketch.

Based on this version, I see no problems with it, so for now there isn't anything I hope to change about it  

Jenna thought for a moment "Leg it is then, it has the least amount of things that you may find disgusting." she then dug a small hole and put bunch of wood in it, before lighting it to fire with her breath. Though the fire looked normal, Oliver would most likely be able to tell that it burned lot hotter than fire of that size usually did. Jenna then proceeded to rip off the deer's leg and put it above the fire using tree branches she found nearby. "I'm sure you know how to cook meat, so I won't teach you on that, but keep in mind that dragon fire is lot hotter than normal fire, and that it's capable of burning pretty much anything."

"Isn't it obvious?" Jenna asked "The thing we saw in the video will happen at this school 3 pm tomorrow." "I still don't know what we have to do with this, but my guess is whoever sent the letters thinks that those with powers could help with whatever it is we saw." "That's really the only reason I can come up with for us getting the letters."

"Indeed." Jenna responded as she put her phone away "That was a video from someone who claims to be one of those who had those coordinates in their letter, and based on how they moved, they too had some kind of powers." "And if that video is real, this is lot worse than someone trying to harm us." 

"Meat it is then, wait here and gather some wood, I'll be right back." Jenna said before heading deeper into the forest, she was making surprisingly little noise while moving considering her size.
After 10 minutes or so Jenna came back flying and was carrying something in her legs, and when she dropped it near Oliver, he would be able to tell it was a deer. Jenna landed next to the dead deer and folded her wings "Is there any specific piece you prefer?" 

"I'm fine, I just sensed a good meal." Jenna said "Which brings me to, what do you want to eat? Will you eat your part supplies or would you want to try dragon-fire cooked meat?" "And don't say you're not hungry, we'll have a long flight in front of us, so you need to take care of yourself."
