I think this should be a blog entry, cuz I might get hate from some people...

I am still a big fan of MLP FiM, and I always will be.
But childhood will always hold a place in my heart!

But I really love the cartoons that were around from before my time, and I don't know if that is a good thing...

First DiC cartoon I saw was probably either Inspector Gadget or Sailor Moon (YES, it is not made by them, but is English dubbed)
Before I had Internet, I also found out about the Mario Super Show from a rental VHS tape at Blockbuster. For some reason, I enjoyed it, despite the corny pasta jokes. (Captain Lou Albano, you will always be my Mario!)
I also rented Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, I enjoyed that too, with all the slapstick comedy in it.
Sonic Underground was one I did not rent, but saw on TV, it was good, but GOD those songs suck... X(

Unfortunately, I never saw Sonic SatAM, and I lost my chance at buying the now out-of-print DVD.
Thankfully YouTube had some episodes, I liked it ALOT.

Archie's Weird Mysteries was another cool cartoon I saw on TV, I never saw much of the comics yet, but I kinda liked the theme behind the show.

When I got Internet, I discovered more cartoons I should have been watching, but was born too late!
Captain N was one I was curious enough to watch, I liked it. Missed my chance at the DVD again...
Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 was one I wanted to check out, liked one episode, got the DVD!
Super Mario World, liked it, bought DVD.
OK, maybe I am just a sucker for cartoons about video games...

I guess I heard the DHX Media has all the DiC cartoons now... Is this good?

    TL;DR version

DiC cartoons I saw through normal means
    Inspector Gadget
    Sailor Moon (English)
    Super Mario Bros. Super Show
    Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
    Sonic Underground
    Archie's Weird Mysteries

DiC cartoons I saw on Youtube
    Captain N the Game Master
Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3
    Super Mario World
    Sonic SatAM
    Heathcliff
    The Littles
    And a load more!

    SO...
Does anyone have a favorite cartoon by DiC Ent.?

SeaTools looks like it failed a diagnostic test and froze on "outer scan"...

My bro is trying my laptop to see if anything happens with him...

Let's see how it turns out...

It might be time to replace a laptop hard drive, that has no bay to access it in. I might have to take to a computer repair technician now...

Hopefully if I have to, the cost of hdd installation and etc. doesn't add up to a lot.

Why do computers hate me? Why, oh why, oh why...

I finally got it to work!

BTW, I had to lose my secondary D: and recovery partition in the process, I had no other choice.

I wiped out the entire HDD, then did a whole fresh installation! I was praying to God that this whole process I went through would succeed!

The only downside (which I don't care much for) is that I have to get back all my iTunes and Steam stuff!

Thank you to Samsung for allowing me to make the DVD full of drivers which I needed for the sweet, sweet internets and graphics and sounds!

Are there any people from or near Winnipeg, MB, Canada? Because C4Con is coming again this year!

Fortunately, I will be going there and maybe getting more pins like I did last year! (BTW, I have a Rainbow Dash pin from last year!)

I will probably be wearing my three pins while I am there, so maybe if you see anybody with a ReBoot, 20% cooler, and Mario Starman pin, that might just be me! :)

    See ya soon!

I love Saturday Morning cartoons! (Who doesn't?)
It's funny, because doesn't MLP come on at Saturday in the morning?

Well, anyways, some of my favorites have not come on DVD at all yet, and I usually discover new shows either through YouTube or video rental stores.
Some of them actually appeared as reruns on television, or even Netflix. They always seem to spark my interest.
What is kind of surprising is that some never or have not yet made it to DVD/Blu Ray format yet!

Here is a list of cartoons or shows in general that need to be shown to everybody:

    1. Alvin and the Chipmunks (Not the black and white Alvin show!)
I have mostly been interested in the last season, which was Chipmunks Go To The Movies. I mean, who doesn't love cartoon remakes of famous movies?
Even though there are DVD releases of this show, there hasn't been a complete series DVD series yet.
Probably the reason for it, is that all the cover songs in each episode seems to have copyright barriers.
My favorite, would either have to be Batmunk or Back to Alvin's Future.
There are very little possibilities for this to come on DVD, since there is copyrighted music written all over it. (But look what happened with the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, they were able to get by with replaced background music!)
Anyways, let's hope for this great cult classic show to reach all audiences!

    2. Rupert (1991)
Anybody remember Rupert the Bear? Not a lot of people do, to be honest...
This was a great animated series by Nelvana!
A bear by the name of Rupert (The show is named after him after all...) goes on mystical adventures that seem either similar to famous fairy tales, or are original stories all their own!
It used to air on Canada's YTV from 1991 to 1997, which was when I was actually around, so I got to experience it!
Anyways, I couldn't see any DVD releases on any websites, so I am assuming it was never released on DVD!
This is another series that people need to see, so let's keep hoping for those who know what the show even is...

    3. Bucky O'Hare
A green rabbit in space, what else can I say?
This is probably my favorite of all time, the space battles, laser guns, the action, what else could you ask for? (STAR WARS much?)
Unfortunately, I never saw it on broadcast television, only VHS tapes, which I still have!
Either way, I thought the show was awesome, especially the cast of characters!
The only DVD I have seen of the complete series is all the way in Region 2, so why not North America?
This series DEFINITELY needs to be seen by EVERYBODY, it is THAT awesome!

    4. Cybersix
This is like anime, only more American-like!
I heard the comic book was WAY more darker than this, but I haven't read it yet. (Good luck finding it BTW)
This is the cartoon that I really, REALLY want to see a DVD for! I would even say, it beats Bucky O'Hare by a long shot!
The only thing about it, is that it ended on a cliffhanger, just like ReBoot and Sonic SatAM...
Either way, it needs DVD treatment, heck, for a show this awesome, even BLURAY!

I guess that is all off the top of my head that I can think of at the moment.
Anyways, people need to have a chance to experience what I did back in the day, so I am going to be hoping that someday we can finally watch our favorite cartoons legit!

    -Good bye

Don Bluth… You are a great animator!

I wasn't really into this movie, since I saw the sequel first when I was young. I had no idea it was even a sequel to a movie from before my time on Earth.
Now that I have seen it for what it is, I can appreciate it more now.
Don Bluth has worked on a few Disney movies before forming his own animation studio. The hit arcade game, Dragon’s Lair became a masterpiece. But I am not supposed to be talking about that, the focus is on a movie from 1977.

    STORY
To start, the beginning of the movie sets the entire mood of the whole thing; dark, and artistic. A bottle is travelling across all the way from Devil’s Bayou to New York with some very dramatic, but very great music sung by Shelby Flint, who is singing almost all of the songs in this underrated movie.
Once the message in a bottle has reached NYC, a special group of mice in the United Nations called the Rescue Aid Society find it and decide to answer the call. They call on a Hungarian representative by the name of Bianca. She is allowed to take one co-agent with her, so she decides on taking the janitor with her. His name is Bernard, a former janitor and a representative for America by the second movie.
They both discover that a human orphan girl, Penny, was kidnapped by Madame Medusa, an evil woman who looks like the long lost sister of Cruella De Vil. Medusa plans on using Penny to go down into a well to retrieve a very valuable diamond called the Devil’s Eye, so in other words, Medusa is using Penny for child labor.

    CHARACTERS
Bernard is played by Bob Newhart. Like I said before: was a former janitor, but has now been part of the RAS throughout the rest of the first movie, and the entire second movie, he is kind of a coward when it comes to superstitious bad luck rumors, like the number 13 it seems. Watch it through and see how many 13’s are heard or seen.

Bianca, played by Eva Gabor, is a representative of the RAS for Hungary. The plot of the movie is considered her very first rescue mission, along with Bernard’s since he was formerly a janitor.

Madame Medusa is the core villain of the movie. She is power hungry for diamonds and other valuables, but for now has her sights on the Devil’s Eye, and is ignoring less valuable jewelry. She also runs a pawnshop in New York when she is not in Devil’s Bayou.

Medusa keeps two pet alligators, Brutus and Nero; they are usually there for comic relief. The organ scene with them will be one of my favorite parts of the movie. They also help Medusa capture Penny whenever she ran away.

Snoops is Medusa’s lackey, who happens to be the most civil person in the film. He is usually kind of a coward though, kind of like Bernard.

Penny is an orphan at the Morningside Orphanage of New York. She is hoping to get adopted soon by a loving family. Medusa comes by the orphanage to take Penny with her, but Penny refuses to go with her. Medusa eventually kidnaps her, and the orphanage assumes she ran away.

Penny’s best friend is an old elderly cat by the name of Rufus; he is very friendly towards everyone at the orphanage, even Bernard and Bianca who happen to be mice! From I assume, he seems to be very wise.

Orville is an albatross who helps Bernard and Bianca travel to Devil’s Bayou. Since he is an albatross, his whole body is used as the airplane, because of the size of the mice. He also has a brother named Wilbur, but we don’t see him until the second movie. The scene where the swamp-mobile sucks up Orville was a funny moment for a lot of fans! Here is a fun fact: Both Orville and Wilbur are named after the Wright Brothers, who both invented the airplane!

Evinrude is another favorite character, he doesn't talk at all throughout the course of the movie, he just makes dragonfly sounds, which is what he is supposed to be. From what he does, he seems to be brave most of the time.

    ART
Like I said before, Don Bluth is an amazing animator! He developed the Dragon’s Lair games for Pete’s sake! The animation looks very smooth and so beautiful; I don’t understand why this great guy would leave Disney! The movement and face expressions on characters are amazing; to me, it almost looks like another Don Bluth game!
Anyways, the art is like every other animated movie, sometimes colorful but sometimes, it can be dark and evil at times, sometimes it’s like Sonic SatAM or Red Sky TMNT!
The opening art is like eye candy for art fans. It looks almost as beautiful as when I was in art class back in high school!

    MUSIC
The instruments that play through the film really set the mood for each scene; it seems like Disney knew what they were doing!
The lyrical songs, like I said before, are sung by Shelby Flint who seems to have an amazing voice!
The songs are so good; they almost make me want to cry! They are almost as powerful as songs from Pinocchio or The Lion King!
The songs seem to tell the story in their own sense as well. If you listen well enough, you might understand then.

Overall the story was fine, but didn't excite me as much as Down Under did. The detail in art, music, and animation in that movie was much better considering it was the beginning of the 90’s!
The art styles differentiate between the two movies, but in this, it is fine for what it is. Remember, this was the 1970’s, even before my time, so some people might be a bit judgmental about the animation style in this movie.
Maybe I could go into more detail, but this would get pretty long, so I covered some of the parts that people would understand. I hope you understand the opinions that I have shared.

And remember; never fail to do what’s right.

I AM NO LONGER DEAD! (that's nice...)

Anyways, I am still a brony and a part of the community so don't worry your head.
We had a few people leave, but I will do my best to keep loving the show and the community no matter what. Nothing is going to make me leave. I am here to stay, and that is that.

Well, I got that out of the way.

I recently got back full force into Pokemon again! Thanks to fansubs/Japanese raws for Kanto season! (and also PokeAwesome! THANK YOU EGORAPTOR!)
I just got Pokemon Black 2 as well to feed my obsession.

Besides the obsession with Pokemon, I have been busy in college, so don't expect a lot of posts from me. Sorry, but education comes first!

    THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
