  1. You know, how no unicorns ever nearly destroyed an entire empire
  2. It is a known fact that there are a lot of older viewers and most importantly, the majority of dedicated fans are older. Little girls really don't understand things to the extent that we do. They wouldn't dislike Flurry, because all they're thinking when watching MLP is "Ooh pretty colours! Cute ponies! They're doing magic!!" Although young kids can have some understanding of storyline, they don't see the depth of it like we do. If Cadance and Shining Armour had a non-alicorn baby, it would make lots of the fandom happier, and I doubt the little kids would care, or think it is less eye catching.
  3. There really is no reason to believe that. I mean, the whole point of the cutie marks they got was that it connects them. Why would they want to separate? They've been best friends for a while now, and have more of a reason to stay together now than ever!
  4. We've already seen so many changes in the show, I don't see why the CMC getting their cutie marks is much different. I get that it was entertaining to watch them try to get their cutie marks, but how long do these fillies have to struggle? I would understand if there were no other major changes in the show, but since there were, I don't really see how this is different. I've always loved the CMC and I'm proud of them.
  5. First of all, the babies are the ugliest stage in a ponies growth (which I've already said on my other forum topic) but that's only my opinion so they shouldn't not have a baby because of that. But, there are already 2 babies in the show! I was okay with it when Cadance and Shining Armour said they were having a baby. I just don't like it being an alicorn. Plus, I get that the show was made for little girls, but there are so many older fans that we should at least some what care about our opinions too! I see your point, and although I'm not gonna like her, it won't be so bad if she doesn't play a major important role in the show.
  6. Well, this baby isn't even a main character. We don't need an unnecessary little brat almost killing an entire empire. It's not cute, funny, or enjoyable at all! Maybe if she only caused mild destruction, like braking a vase and things like that. But she causes major catastrophes, and that's not what we need. The show was fine without it, and there are other things with way more potential we could be focusing on, like Starlight Glimmer being Twilight's student, or Zecora's backstory and where she's from. Flurry is unnecessary, problematic, and just plain annoying! You lost me at "it only makes sense to have a cute little baby in it" Plus, there already are 2 babies
  7. Well, I think you're missing the point about her being born an alicorn. Unlike some people who are starting to question it, I do believe that Celestia and Luna were born alicorns. That's my point! I don't like this baby being the only pony put on the same level as Celestia and Luna. What's gonna happen next? Is this baby gonna be some powerful, immortal goddess? I don't like that at all! Also, as far as her not having a personality yet since she's a baby, that's another reason I don't like her. I get that babies don't really have personalities, so that's something I feel neutral towards her about. But she has already caused so much major destruction, and I can't find any actually positives about her. Since she isn't old enough to have personality, I don't see anything good in her. She's just an unnecessary, problematic character.
  8. True, I've always loved the CMC and I think they have high potential now that they finally got their cutie marks after 5 years. I'd prefer to not have this annoying, destructive brat in the series at all, but they've gotta sell products that make little girls happy, even if most of the brony fandom hates it :/
  9. Aside from Starlight Glimmer being Twilight's student, there's one other thing that I think has high potential for great plot points: the CMC. They got their cutie marks, which happened in the best way possible in my opinion. I'll just summarize why I think that it happened the best possible way: Not only does it link them together, but I feel like the message that I'll summarize as "When they stop worrying about getting their cutie marks, they end up helping other ponies discover their destinies, and spend time with each other while doing it. Isn't that what really matters?" I feel like that's a better message and conclusion to this 5 year quest to get their marks, then if it was just "Oh they tried a million hobbies and eventually found the right one!" I feel like they have great potential to help other ponies in season 6. I really want to see how it goes, since they have always been some of my favourite characters. I hope we can see more of them. And maybe see Diamond Tiara and whether they are friends or not, and how she acts now. I see high potential for CMC related topics. Anyone agree?
  10. Am I the only one who is curious about locations that haven't been shown yet like Phillydelphia or Las Pegasus? I hope we can see some of these places in season 6, or maybe even find out where Zecora is from. I feel like that can actually make some interesting plot points.
  11. Pinkie's parties confuse me. She's "all about partying" or whatever, but I just don't get it. I mean, how can you be so into partying when partying is apparently just throwing streamers around and dancing a little. To explain what I'm trying to say, look at this quote from A Canterlot Wedding: Pinkie Pie: I think this reception is gonna be perfect! Don't you? (Fake) Princess Cadance: Perfect! ...If we were celebrating a six-year-old's birthday party. I mean, I don't get how the whole town of mostly adults enjoys her parties? I like Pinkie but idk, it's just something I was thinking about, especially when it comes to episodes like Pinkie Pride. Overall, the adult characters basically act like regular adults. I know this is pointless, but I guess I just can't understand why they'd be entertained by Pinkie or Cheese Sandwich for parties, but yet not be entertained by Fluttershy when she had Pinkie's cutie mark/job in Magical Mystery Cure. I mean, is Fluttershy more boring than a six year old's birthday party? I don't know, it's just something I was thinking about.
  12. Ya know, that was all because of the sonic rainboom. It was a special, magical moment where she had more power. But it wasn't always like that. Flurry Heart on the other hand, her uncontrollable outbursts already nearly killed the entire crystal empire within one episode. Who knows what other catastrophes she's gonna cause?
  13. That's exactly how I feel! Kittens, puppies, or things like that are cute. But baby humans and mlp ponies are ugly. I don't get the people who think the baby ponies are the cutest.
  14. In general, I think baby ponies are the least cute stage of a pony's life. I think foals and adults look a lot cuter. Like on The One Where Pinkie Knows, when they showed Applejack's birth certificate and a picture of her as a baby, I was thinking "What are they talking about, she's way cuter now." Same for all ponies. But that's just me. What do you think?
  15. Although my hatred for this annoying, problematic character grows, I feel like they're gonna try to make her more likeable by trying to make her look cute. Honestly, I don't fall for those games.
  16. I kind of agree. I have background ponies that I like a little bit, mostly because I like their character design, but I don't get why people are like "Yes. This background character with no personality or substance. Yes, they are my favourite character." I mean, there are so many characters that actually do stuff that deserve more attention. It's okay to draw a background pony, or say you like them, but how can you love them so much when they have no personality? I kinda agree that they're overrated.
  17. If you look at Twilight's "love interest" for example, it seemed very stereotypical, forced, predictable, and most of all, it lacked any substance. And lots of the ships in mlp aren't hetero so they MOST LIKELY won't become canon, and that upsets people. People don't want to see half of their ship falling in love with someone else. Also, the show is about friendship, not romance. But you know what? I don't mind it really. I was okay with the Cadance and Shining Armour stuff until they had to go create that Flurry Heart. But aside from that, I don't dislike their relationship at all. If it's done right and has substance, I like stuff with romance.
  18. That goes back to my original point: I don't like the idea of an alicorn baby
  19. As much as I hate Flurry Heart, it would be nice for Shining Armour and Cadance to get more air time and character development. But there are other characters I'd rather see more of, like Zecora.
  20. She didn't have non stop uncontrollable power surges that caused major destruction though
  21. Haha last time I checked, other unicorns didn't have "power surges" powerful enough to create the kind of destruction that this little alicorn has already began on her first day of existence
  22. Man I don't know if I'm the only one or not, but I've despised that little brat since the preview! Let me explain. Becoming an alicorn isn't something that just happens. You have to earn it! You become an alicorn when you deserve it like you know, Twilight who had to learn valuable lessons, save Equestria, and proven she actually deserves it. It's even been confirmed on the premiere that no pony has been born an alicorn. I feel like it makes other alicorns who actually deserve it seem less special. And you know, all this one needed to do was be born! No earning it, no proving herself worthy! You know what she did? She almost killed the entire crystal empire! I mean, I hated the idea of an alicorn baby since I first saw it, but after she broke the heart, I was filled with rage. I don't care that it was all fixed at the end! None of that would have happened if it wasn't for her. Also, take a look at her gigantic wings. She was able to fly right after birth. Meanwhile, we've got poor Scootaloo struggling and even getting bullied for not being able to fly on Fly to the Finish. And then there's Sweetie Belle who can barely do magic at all, but yet this alicorn is already so powerful. I know Flurry Heart can't control her magic, but she's still a million times more powerful than any other young pony. So we've got Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo struggling for a long time over stuff that this baby could do in the first hour of her existence. I'm sorry, but Flurry Heart ruins everything that made other character's accomplishments seem special. I get that they needed new plot points for the new season, but this was not the best way to go about it in my opinion. Is this baby gonna steal all the glory from any other character, including the potential that Starlight Glimmer has being Twilight's student? That's even a big plot point on its own, so we don't need an alicorn baby taking up all the air time. Plus, with this thing being born an alicorn and all, she's basically being put on the same level as Celestia. I'm sorry, but I don't like the idea of some super powerful immortal alicorn who will probably be a million times more powerful than Twilight, Starlight Glimmer, or really any of the characters we know and love. I don't like the idea of this baby not having to earn what the other alicorns worked hard for! Sorry, but I just hate it! How do you all feel about this?
