Well, that was one hell of a birthday.  Okay, so it was my dad’s birthday today (he is now 76) we went out for lunch. My mum got some spaghetti, my dad got some fish and chips, and I got some chicken parmigiana. Then, we watched the Manny Paquiao VS Mario Barrios fight at 1:30PM. (As an aussie and a half filipino, I had two guys I was rooting for. Before the main event, it was a real shame to hear that Tim Tszyu lost to the same guy he fought last year, and he was nothing but skin and bones. He got knocked out in round 7. I only saw highlights of it, so I’ll need to see a replay of it. To lose to the same fighter twice is pretty embarrassing. His father, Kostya, only lost once in his boxing career. So yeah, that’s pretty shameful.) there was a preliminary fight before the two main events. Somehow, I managed to record the preliminary fight, and there was another fillipino. I briefly skipped to the end to see who won that fight, and it was the fillipino. I definitely need to see a replay of that when I get the chance.

As for the main event between manny paquiao and mario barrios…it ended up in a draw. In the early stages of the fight, paquiao was leading by 1 point, and by round 8 – 9, he was leading with 87 points and barrios had 84 points. At the end of the fight, the commentator mentioned that barrios managed to win the last 3 rounds A.K.A rounds 10 - 12, and that’s how it ended up in a tie. When they announced the score, it was 115 – 115, but was awarded to barrios. When the 2^nd judge gave their score, it was 114 – 114, and was declared a draw without even taking a look at the 3^rd judge and who they awarded the points to. Yeah, it was a really weird result. Even manny himself said ‘I think / thought I won the fight’, so he was just as confused as the rest of us. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. There was A LOT of fillipinos. It was awesome <3

If you want my honest opinion, I’d say that the result was kinda staged, so that paquiao will go on to have another fight even tho he’s 46 (...and he just recently came out of retirement. the last time he was in the ring was 4 years ago. the funny thing is that the same thing happened to Mike Tyson when he came out of retirement. that one also ended up in a draw.) He was being really conservative throughout the entire fight (the first 4 rounds, they were taking it easy. It was only when it got to round 6, that’s when they started fighting.) there’s nothing wrong with that. I just wished that he was a lil bit more aggressive, but at the same time, he did not want to put himself in a position where he’d get knocked out, and he was in for the long haul. as much as I hate to admit it, but I reckon Mario Barrios won the fight. Yes, I know he is 46, but Manny was exerting a lot of energy just to keep up with him, and he took a lot more hits than he dished out. the only reason WHY the fight ended up in a draw is cuz he managed to equalize whenever he got hit. Overall, I had a lot of fun. ^^

On the subject of MLP, apparently, they’re planning to make a live action MLP Movie. 

what are your thoughts? Do you think this is real??? o.o This is the first time I’ve heard about this.

I was a lil emotional when I saw this for the first time. this is literally the best equipment that I have on my OC and they managed to replicate...everything  O.O  truly, a work of art!!! <3
