Nothing makes me want to contribute more than when the topics I make are active for two days and then posts stop.

It's just a pattern I notice with a lot of the topics that I make. "Was my topic not good?".

It was good enough, my friend. Instead of asking that, why not ask "Where is everyone?!
Don't they know I made an awesome topic?!" Heh. 
But in all seriousness, no one is avoiding your topics, BFFFF. It's absolutely nothing personal. And for users like me, we may not post tons of comments, but the stuff you've made entertains and delights for countless days. Maybe even countless years in some cases.
