VR in it's current form is still 1st-generation hardware. Not everyone will be able to realize it's full potential unless it gets a lot of marketshare amd software that can utilize it, which it still doesn't have. It'll still be another few years before we'll be able to see if VR is a lost cause or revolution.

Its the idea that bothers me. Virtual reality, why not just be in normal reality? Especially since brain damage concerns have been swept under the rug to avoid bad PR.

Sounds more like scare-tactics and fear-of-change to me.
