    I don’t know how many of you knew this already, but something I enjoy doing when I get the opportunity, is photographing the sky, especially if it involves the sunset/sunrise. It’s amazing the photos you can capture with just your smartphone even. :ticking: I have an Instagram I actively post to, if you’d like to check out more of my photos: @v8bunny96

      @Phosphor Nerd!! :mlp_smug:

      Well, I am dealing with a lot of Mercury Vapor lighting photographs (part of my street lamp collection and all that blah blah). And the camera can't get the light you are actually seeing, but a greenish ugly one instead. I am able to correct the white balance to get rid of most of the green in my camera, but after that, there is no way to get the final image corrected even if I have the photo in RAW format. So taking a photo of the light when it is greenish, then trying to remove the green in software is impossible! But if I change the white balance to fluorescent and apply a color bias in the camera before taking the photo, I get the result that is closest to what I see in reality. I have never been close to work with UV light before, like what you are talking about, other than faking the light to look more real (which is more of an artistic thing, I still never capture the real light as seen with the human eye).

      Sorry for hijacking your status update, @Lucky Bolt  :adorkable:

      @Splashee, Mercury vapor has a pretty strong spectral line in the green region, so it would be difficult to remove it without some sort of filter. Another thing to keep in mind is that cameras don't exactly see the same as our eyes. The color filters in front of the sensor have some overlap, so that may explain the difference?  :mlp_huh:
